I ordered a dirty Gin Martini and a couple of glasses of wine. The martini was excellent, and got my 3 olives. The reds I had were also tasty and easy sippers. For my meal I got the Spicy Rigatoni and I added Fennel sausage for more $ and honestly it was one of the better pastas I've had in a long time! Great cheese distro and the sauce was excellently seasoned! Noodles were al dente and the sausage was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to be honest! I thought it might be basic but exceeded my expectations! I took it for lunch the next day and reheated it was delicious! Service was really lovely too, we were waiting to give our drink orders for a touch longer but after that, service was really attentive. Ambience wise, it's similar to that of a cactus club or earls, nothing really unique to it but it's comfortable. I would go back to king taps if I find myself on the nshore again.

We got a booth that can probably fit 6 people but we had 3 ( 2 and a baby ). Our server was great, she was super friendly, smiling and energetic. We got a few dishes: hummus dip, Malibu club and saladita bowl. The hummus and the bowl was a little salty but it could be that we don't usually put too much salt in our food due to our little one. We try to limit our salt as our 1 yr old likes to eat our food. The bowl had a little spice to it and does has a good variety if ingredients. It is flavorful so for others it will definitely be to your liking. The Malibu club was delicious . If you have a stroller, you will park it beside the stairs. There were 3 strollers there.

She got the same Croissant Breakfast sandwich that she had gotten the last time we came here together and I got the Marinara Grilled Cheese Sandwich again. It's vegan cheese inside the sandwich but still nice and gooey which is just how a grilled cheese sandwich should be. I love the tanginess of the sourdough bread that they use for this sandwich. There was cheese in my daughter's Croissant Breakfast Sandwich but it didn't look very melted. That's the one thing I could be improved upon. Otherwise, her Croissant Breakfast Sandwich was looking really really good, and I think I'm gonna have to try ordering it for myself next time. Yup, even with unmelted cheese, the sandwich was still calling out to me. Not sure why it didn't call out to me the last time my daughter had it. Hmmm...maybe it did and I just forgot! A sigh that we need to come to this place more often! They had a few bins with stuff on sale. There was a $5 bin and a $10 bin. I bought a couple packs of Garlic Shio Ramen noodles from the $5 bin and a pack of Umami Garlic broth from the $10 bin. Probably not gonna open them up for awhile though. The weather is way too hot these days to be cooking up Ramen noodles in the kitchen!

This hidden gem in North Van serves classic diner dishes and comfort food all made from scratch…read more There were nostalgic vibes and service was amazing. The portions are huge and every dish is made with quality ingredients. French onion grilled cheese with shoestring fries: I got a nice cheese pull out of this, it satisfied all my cheesy cravings. It came with a generous amount of fries. Denver-ish breakfast bowl: order this if you want a nice variety for breakfast. I added avocado and it was so satisfying. Bacon eggs benny on housemade buttermilk biscuits with hashbrowns: fresh hollandaise over perfectly cooked eggs. The buttermilk biscuit is so much better than an English muffin. I absolutely loved the shredded hashbrowns. Strawberry milkshake: you need to try their hand spun milkshakes! Topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, I felt like a kid again.

It's bright and airy, even on a rainy nasty day on the West Coast. The decor is awesome in our mind, very diner driven and classy. The glass into the kitchen itself offers a glimpse into the line cook life. The service was top notch, the space is clean and tables are turned with precision. Nothing to quibble with overall, but the food itself was just average, and just that alone is not where a small place like this should be. The hash browns were bordering on overdone and were not plentiful. One piece of toast is always a pet peeve of mine, though the multigrain was good. The Romesco really had little taste and was almost a little dry. I had trouble speeding it around and ended up eating most of it in one bite, which I am sure is not the ideal scenario. K had the grilled cheese sandwich with onions. The fries were great but the sandwich was lacking in cheese and onions which isn't ideal. We also had three go arounds with our English Breakfast tea and the cream curdling once added. The date on the cream was far in advance and the cream was cold, so not sure what the issue was. I actually asked specifically for milk when ordering, so it didn't excite me to have this happen. They finally brought milk with the third tea try, K used it, I didn't bother. Small thing, but I like my tea while waiting for my meal, not with it or halfway through it. That all said, everyone was happy, seemed to enjoy the food and service and there appear to be alot of locals. We will certainly give the Douce another go, and hope that it's a far better experience.

After braving the cliff walk, the Cliff House was a perfect way to end my time at Capilano. We were a bit skeptical about attraction food, but this restaurant is exceptionally better than anything you would get at any theme park, except of course downtown Disney. We had a Caesar salad, chicken wings, and a house burger to share exactly what we needed after an extremely cold walk through the canyon. Our server was attentive, and the cabin style ambience was a nice touch, but overall was a bit pricey for this type of establishment, but the time we had on the canyon was memorable and 100% worth it. 3.5 stars for restaurant and 5.0 stars for the canyon experience.

It was not crowded when we visited on a weekday afternoon, and given that there was not a full house, the service surprisingly slow. It took a while to order and I could not get a water refilled until I grabbed a wait staff an hour later. However, the food was also surprisingly good. There were a lot of options to choose from, including kids meals. We got the Steelhead fish, House burger and the standard kids meals. All of the food was delicious and plated well. Given that you're inside the park, it's not overly pricey, but probably the best choice available.
