Dude, if I lived in NYC, I would eat here everyday. Being active and relatively healthy, I am perennially in search of fast, inexpensive, healthy food options that are tasty, and nourish and satisfy, and it is not an easy quest. I live in Seattle, where one would expect to find such options abound, but I have absolutely nothing that could compare to Quinoa Kitchen. From their brief, but very flexible menu, I've tried the salmon wrap, the black bean wrap, the kale salad, quinoa salad, Waldorf salad, and sweet potato fries (which were the only menu item that was less than remarkable - but still totally good). Everything was absolutely amazing, let alone for 12 bones. I'm not sure how they pull off their margins - in Seattle, the kale salad, which is included as a FREE side with the wrap/bowl, would cost $12 by itself. The salmon wrap would probably go for an additional $15+. Being from the PNW, I'm kind of a stickler about salmon and its sourcing, so I was concerned the low price would mean the fish would be farmed Atlantic (which is fed chemical food pellets with dye to turn its naturally gray flesh red or pink), but no - the salmon is wild, and I could tell it's legit by its color and texture (although I did not inquire as to its precise geographical sourcing). The wrap is a perfect size for me as a rather active man - not overbearingly huge, but more than sufficient to keep me going for 4+ hours. The amount of salmon included is extremely generous, and it's one contiguous filet, rather than shredded scraps. As previously stated, all of the sides were nearly as impressive themselves. Oh, and the food is delicious (get brown rice and lemon dill sauce with the salmon). I actually find myself craving it, rather than reluctantly dragging myself to my local plant-based or health spot. The food takes a solid 10+ minutes to prepare, but it should, as it's all prepared fresh to order. Considering the vessel in which the food is served, it would make a great, structurally resilient to-go choice, and I know that at least Caviar delivers, because I saw the same delivery dude make 3 trips back and forth just in the time I was eating. Coming from Amazon Land (formerly known as Seattle), it's also thoroughly refreshing that this place isn't a prepackaged plastic-storefronted corporate chain to mine gold from yuppies, using the lowest quality and effort possible. I don't live in Brooklyn, but Quinoa Kitchen seems neighborly and authentic af. Honestly, 6/5 stars - I'm not sure how you guys pull this off, but great job - I've been back in Seattle for a week and still don't know where to grab food now that I've been spoiled. 12 bones...my head is still spinning... read more

Ordered the steak in medium rare, but was given to us well done. It was gray, hard and tasteless. The guy was not happy when we told him about the well done steak. He did replace it with medium rare steak but told us to "tell him earlier." Not sure what difference it makes because the steak is well done regardless. The ahi tuna I ordered was also hard. Ordered from here yesterday through Caviar on a whim and so happy I did. I tried chicken, steak and salmon bowls with various grains and toppings and everything was delicious. Also had a side order of sweet potato fries which were still nice a crispy even after delivery through near freezing temperatures. I have never been to the actual location so cannot comment on service or ambiance but the food is consistently excellent. I am moving deeper into BK soon and will no longer be able to get delivery but I am committed and will make the effort to visit the location on occasion and continue supporting. It's that good. This is the perfect place to go when you don't want to sit down, but you want something healthy to-go. I walked by this place and never really thought about trying it because I thought it would be one of those healthy places that people go to because it's healthy but it doesn't really taste that good (you know what I'm talking about).... but I was so wrong. My only regret is that I didn't give it a go earlier. This place is so fresh and you don't feel guilty eating it. Take the kale salad, I don't know what they sprinkle in it, but it's addicting. I like it so much I tried to recreate it at home (let me tell you it didn't turn out like that). I've tried the steak, chicken, and tuna. This place is pretty delicious. I've ordered the salmon bowl a couple of times, and they use fresh ingredients and cook the salmon nicely. I've had their Immunity cold press juice which is delicious but a little pricy for the amount of juice you get. Overall they're for sure going to be a new go-to lunch spot for me. read more

I really wished they seasoned their food at this place. I ordered the veggie black bean bowl with the organic quinoa as a side and it lacked flavor. I was really hoping that the chipotle aoili would've given it a bit more kick but it was somewhat bland as well. I think when people say vegetarian isn't good they've probably eaten here or something equivalent to it. Sounds a bit harsh but there's a lot of veggie food options that taste better. I live in Texas, so everything had to be done online or over the phone. I used this restaurant and was blown away with their customer service. They forgot an entire soup, and the grilled asparagus was cold, which you pay extra for as an add-on. Also, one of the dishes that was suppose to come with avocado came with NONE. It's a good place for healthy eating and the menu is fairly simple to navigate. I saw bowls and grain plates, but instead I opted to go for a smoothie (Nutty Banana, which included banana, tons of yummy peanut butter, cinnamon, and almond milk), and the Vegetarian Black Bean Burger, which was topped off with curry ketchup and came with sweet potato fries. If they run out of something, they don't give you a call like a normal business to ask if you want to substitute, they just put whatever they feel like in your bowl and hope you won't complain.
