Getting in line is a bit awkward because you have to make a sharp right turn, and once you're in, you're basically bumper-to-bumper. Be prepared for that. But to my surprise, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, and that's with at least 8 cars ahead of me. That's efficient! The staff member who took my order was friendly and professional--didn't rush me, got everything right, and the food? Hot, fresh, and affordable. That's not always a guarantee at Bojangles (trust me, I've had some questionable biscuits before), so this was a pleasant change of pace. If I had one suggestion: when the line is long, having someone outside taking orders could speed things up even more. But overall, I left happy and full. Would I come back? Absolutely. They once threw away my receipt without asking if I want it, THEN decided to ask if I wanted it, and I said "I did but it's fine", and instead of accepting my decline or reprinting the receipt, they FISH IT OUT OF THE TRASH AND GIVE IT TO ME. Found multiple short, black, curly hairs in my milkshake. And while those were all on separate occasions, here is something that happens without fail at EVERY ZAXBY'S location. You pay for every single sauce you get, and THEN THEY DON'T GIVE THEM. Most fast food chains at least let you have a couple free sauces and charge you for excessive amounts. But Zaxby's charges for every individual sauce. And then you find that it's not in your bag or any of your boxes. I think it's ridiculous to charge for a 1 tablespoon serving of sauce in the first place, but then to hold them hostage from customers is insane. It happens so much I almost think the managers TELL their employees to do this so that they can make a couple extra bucks. The workers are always cold and miserable towards you. No matter how many times you say "thank you", "good evening", "have a good day", it's always the same. And I know it's not just my bad luck either, I've never heard anything good about the Cartersville Zaxby's. I got my blood drawn the other week, and the workers were talking lunch, and upon someone suggesting Zaxby's, another worker shared that they got food poisoning from this location recently.... I have probably been here 40 to 50 times and the staff is constantly great. I'll keep coming back for that alone as long as the food doesn't go completely downhill. We had even gotten to our cars and he got sick as a dog, throwing up sick. I got him home and he kept throwing up until nothing was left. It wasn't good. Fortunately his daughter is a nurse and was over to check on him. He was sick with food poisoning for a week and she stayed with him, nursing him back to health. She said the most probable cause was the chicken he ate. I'm no expert, but the Health Department would do well to do a thorough inspection of this place, and if they did, I'd suspect they would find enough violations to shut this place down. Stay Away From Johnboy's!
