Stayed at the Hampton Inn across the street and checked in Thursday evening. Got up Friday with a bunch of running to do including the Grandkids meeting Santa at Town Centre Mall, new shoes at Coggins in Marietta, lunch and finally back to the hotel for a nap. Some additional running to start out with a run to Kohl's on Cobb to pick up a new set of underwear for me since my wife missed them in packing. her standing joke is that I always forget something. Gas gauge showed about a quarter of a tank so decided to just go across the street to Chevron. With the median dividers and no u-turns, it took a bit of navigation to get there. Gas was $3.39.9 which seemed at bit high because the day before when I filled up in Denver, I paid $2.89.9 but local markets vary in part driven by State Taxes. Accepted it because of one of the hazards of travel and what else could you do. Drove over to Kohl's on Cobb Parkway which was about 5 miles away and the price at all of the gas stations including Chevon was $3.19.9 or 2O cents less expensive. Later when we got over to Town Centre Mall for the photo's with Santa, there was a Quik Trip with gas at $3.04.9, Something is not right. This Chevron is in the middle of KSU and granted between two interstates, is making it more difficult for College/University Students who in many cases, the extra 30 cents a gallon could impact an already tight budget. I remember back in antiquity when I was a College Student when every penny counted.

Cleanliness is always solid at this location from the lots to the bathrooms. Conditionally, the store is starting to show a bit of wear, which is honestly expected. All of a sudden there was no one there ... So not even a little bit of a normal situational issue to happen to an entire store especially when the Company is not a small "mom and pop shop or something within that realm. No notices as to the status of the business. I just kept driving, like so many other people, waisting my time and gas re-visiting the site and looking for an answer as to why the store was closed and what I could expect in the future? Well finally, one day, out of the blue, they opened their doors with a new staff, which I was extremely disappointed in, due to their poor performance in general, demonstrating no,if any, ability perform in a professional manner and demonstrate a level of competence, and most importantly a sense of pride within themselves and their own work. Now it's April 29th and I believe it was last weekend, could have been the one previous, and here we go again.. it was a Sunday, over an hour before the posted closing time and THEY WERE CLOSED! It's happening AGAIN ... My question to the Murphy Oil is how do you actually still manage to keep your Company from going bankrupt and losing everything if you're Chastain Store is an appropriate example of the expectations that you, the Company's leadership team are an example of your expectations and the Company's own failure to deliver a sustainable business plan that is more sustainable and effective in the actual field therefore the actual closing of an entire location would never have occurred and there would be contingency plans in place. Please, STAFF the store and have the store stocked and running during the limited hours that have been changed Thank you for your consideration and help. Also I do hope that whoever has the misfortune of Overseeing this Store that you have a new drive and a clear passion for creating a culture for your customer's experiences to succeed their expectations. Demonstrate the importance of achieving success by creating an authentic environment by engaging with your staff and customers. In this, you will be able to help build your team up through showing that you are capable and willing to do the same jobs that are expected of them. Lastly, the most effective and usually most challenging is staffing, hiring the right people, making training THE priority and take a vested interest in their future for their success is the MOST effective way for you, individually and the Company as a whole, to ensure success in b primary need of staffing and training the employees for success!

I proceeded to show my credit card had the same name on it and he snatched it from ny hands and said "this looks like you found someone's cards on the ground and are trying to use them." He began interrogating me for my birthdate. I simply declined being questioned and just asked for my cards back and he refused to give them to me. He went back and forth with me for 5 minutes before he said he was calling the cops. I ended up having to call the police because he wouldn't call them and wouldn't give me my cards back. I called the police and explained the situation. While I was waiting for the cops to arrive he tried to kick me out of the store with my cards in his posession!!! And proceeded to tell me it was "HIS" store. Also he told me "You're weird. You are doing kratom this stuff is for weirdos. It's for people trying to get off meth."
