So I got the guava fruit tea and I was expecting it to be bad and fake tasting but it was actually pretty good and tasty and the tapioca was really really nice and Squishy and the aloe vera that I put in there with nice too, and you get tres free toppings (three) (and there's not a tres of greediness here), which is generous - and then the customers as well absolutely awesome with a beautiful asian Barbie lookalike, in the store with her sexy muscle boyfriend, and then a gorgeous caucasian Barbie lookalike sitting down looking all perfect. So I was very glad that Barbie sent me back here, and noticed the Mochi Waffle ad on the wall, so I brought Bae back here with me as soon as she was in the deep south, and my goodness, she loved it! We loved our drinks, she loved her Mochi Waffle, and we actually ended up thinking this is the best, the friendliest, the tastiest, and the most awesome boba shop in Charlotte, and the best Quickly location anywhere in the country! I have been drinking boba tea for 20+ years since I grew up in China. I have lived in multiple US cities and had some mediocre or even terrible boba teas in cities with smaller east Asian populations. Charlotte was such a city until probably just a few years ago when a few legit boba tea franchises set up shops here. I am happy to report Quickly is one such legit place, judging by their taro tea alone. There are 2 self-ordering kiosks inside and I quickly got the hang of it but I imagine a boba novice might be overwhelmed by the options. Just remember a legit boba tea place let you choose ice level and sugar level. For me 50% sugar level is sweet enough. My friend decided to try taro milk tea for the first time and she liked it. There was only one lady behind the counter making teas. You can tell she is experienced and efficient since our teas came out quickly, unlike several other boba tea places I went to in the past year. read more

This was my first boba tea, and I was excited. The place was immaculately kept. I noticed an impressive 97.0 sanitation score. The woman behind the counter was helpful and patient. Truthfully though, it was hard to understand everything she said due to her accent. After she carefully went over the different options I settled on a small pineapple/coconut boba. The tea was amazingly cold and delightfully refreshing. Not too sweet... A unique taste that I loved. I liked that each tea was made fresh to order, and the way they sealed the top of the cup so no spills! The wide straws were novel and just right for consuming this drink. The first few sips were great, until it just wasn't anymore. There were so, so many boba that it interfered with the enjoyment of the drink. At one point the boba seemed to be replicating itself. With each sip this experience morphed into a high-end drink nightmare! The boba tasted like chewy pebbles of goo that expanded in my stomach. It caused my stomach to ache. I began discarding the boba into a napkin until I finally gave up and tossed the entire drink out. I didn't even have 1/3 of it. I felt wasteful but really... No treat should be this much work! I never went there for classic boba milk tea, their fruit drink was my go to, such as mint green apple tea, no topping no milk. The interior is a little outdated and the seating area isn't chic/cute but instead it's more functional. It was well heated for the weather and had a few tables/chairs. The service was friendly but nothing more or nothing less. I ordered the rose milk tea with boba and my friend got the taro. We both enjoyed our drinks, they had the right amount of ice in it. This is by far my favorite bubble tea spot! I am "Quikly" drinking my way through the whole menu! The woman that I assume to be the owner since she is here day and night any day I swing by, is so sweet and makes great suggestions when I'm indecisive. The food is also on point. Inside Quickly: The interior is very clean and I like the colorful chairs and tables. The floor looks clean. And most importantly the area where they make the drinks look clean. We are huge fans of Taro and have had from the very best to the very worst! Quickly ranks among the worse. Their Taro resembles a slushy instead of a Smoothie. The Taro taste very powdery and not authentic at all. The Lychee slushy wasn't much better but better than the Taro. The "egg buns" caught my attention but quickly disappointed me when I realized it's just a freaking waffle with no syrup. I haven't found a good Boba spot yet but I'm still hopeful. Quikly's taro boba tea was good when they first opened. The most recent one I ordered from then tasted watered down, so I doubt they used enough of the taro powder. Needless to say, I won't order boba from them anymore. The chicken bite snacks are really good. I'll still order snacks from them if I tag along with my friends. Finally. A Quickly opened in Charlotte. If you have no idea what bubble tea is, then I would suggest you to come here and try it. I think that there have been some boba shops come through Charlotte, but never lasting. I hope this one stays, but wished that it was closer to home. I can't complain. Pretty standard boba, would definitely come through and just try bubble tea in general. Quickly isn't the best ever boba ever, but it's still boba. I had the black milk tea, but the only problem with Quickly is that you can't change their sugar levels and all of that. It's basically what you order is what you get. QQ! Bubbles here are amazing and consistently the perfect QQ texture. The tea sizes are also great--for a dollar more you can get a "chubby" and a little more than that gets you the "super chubby" which, at $6.75 is less than what I normally pay for two large drinks at other places for less ounces. They're also really generous with their toppings. I love the ability to adjust sweetness, and they use nondairy creamer for vegan options. I'd prefer plant-based milk, but the tea is a good strength to stand up to the creamer. I wish they had more fresh fruit options--most of the flavored teas are extract or concentrates. I randomly came across this place when I lived in the apartments right next to it. I haven't been here in more than a year and I finally visited again a few weeks ago. There's so many additonal things on the menu! There's a dessert menu that wasn't there before and more snacks. They also have a very extensive flavor menu to choose from and 4 different ways you want the drink. You can also add up to 3 different toppings in the drink. I've tried the fried oreos which just came fresh out of the fryer and absolutely delicious. Their drinks are okay but the flavor is a little more toned down than Fruiticup hence me taking off one star. However I still think this place is much better than Fruiticup.
