The guy that took our order was super chill and even gave recs for the spice level my group and I should get. All the food took about 10 mins to be prepared. We were able to grab a seat in the dining area while we waited. We got a variety of sliders, tenders, and fries. All the ingredients were fresh ingredients and the fries were crunchy and seasoned well. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the sauce if you need more. I enjoyed this sandwich (arguably just as much as popular chains like Chick Fil A) but what took the cake was their Dave's sauce for me! The original sandwich comes with onions, pickles and chicken with the option to choose your spice level for the sandwich. The service at Dave's was great with kind staff and a simple number system to grab your food when it's ready. Lots to look at. The cashier was soooo kind! I wish I got her name. She took our order and we seated ourselves. Tables were all clean and they had a good variety of 2 seaters, 4 seaters, etc. They had music playing inside while you eat, and workers going around occasionally cleaning up! They have a "pick up" window that opens the window to the outside, it's very unique and I would've liked to see how it worked but I wasn't paying much attention. They have catering boxes which could be fun if you have a large party to host! My cheese fries were really good! They weren't crispy or crunchy, but that isn't a requirement for me. The dill pickles, delish! Pair perfectly with hot chicken. I got the "hot" level of heat and it was perfect for me. I typically enjoy lots of spice and it was just enough to sting my lips and keep them burning. Their sauce was interesting, I can't even pinpoint the flavor. It wasn't my favorite though. The tender seemed a bit small for the bun, and there wasn't very much slaw on the sandwich, which I'm kinda bummed out about. I love coleslaw and think it would have been good with a bit more! Me and my husband LOVE Dave's!! My husband only eats halal, so how convenient is it that we can get fried chicken sandwiches right in the neighborhood!?! We always get the # 2 (2 sliders and fries) and share it because the sandwiches are so huge. I get the plain sandwich (no sauce, no sauce *beyonce voice*) with cheese and my husband gets the hot chicken sandwich. Worst customer service! I have been vegetarian for over 10 years. I went and ordered the cauliflower tenders as I usually do, but this time when I ordered they mistakenly gave me chicken. I didn't realize until I already got home and took my first bite. The cauliflower and the chicken look very similar. I was very upset and called the restaurant to make it right. I decided to drive back to the store and on the way I called and asked to speak with a manager. I told the manager about what happened and was very disappointed with her response. All I wanted was a refund and for them to remake me my order. Now I'm wasting my gas heading back to the store. The slaw and pickles were great in the sandwich giving contrasting flavors that amplified the taste. The spice level was nice, not too hot. My big dislike was that it felt like the spice came from the powder they put on and when you get a mouth full of it, the sandwich felt gritty. With the pickles and slaw you don't really notice it. The chicken can be really hot so stay with lite mild or mild unless you like it really spicy. They serve it with pickles and honey packets which made it for me! It wasn't as "tender" of a tender as many other places, and it didn't seem as fresh as it could have been. But it was still darn good and worth future visits for sure. So I came and redeemed my free order and they definitely got it right this time. It was DELICIOUS!! I tried Hot level and my nose is running and mouth burning so that's definitely a good sign lol. I really like spicy food but I am beginning to tame it down as I get older so I ordered medium. The next time I went i ordered 1 slider and 1 tender. This was a better fit for a large appetite. I ordered it hot this time. The flavor was very good.
