I knew I needed professional help, so after reading the reviews for "Ann Arbor iPhone & Macbook" on Yelp, I knew this was my first go to choice. I decided to drive down to Washington Street, rather than call on the telephone. I talked with Jack on the phone, and he came right over to look at my phone. After examining the patient, he decided to download the iOS update again, and reboot my phone. After that I was able to access my iCloud, and restore the phone back to normal. Jack does amazing work, and if I could give this review 10-stars I would. IMHO, Jack is really the "IPhone/Macbook Whisperer" and does a truly professional job all the way.

Within approximately two months, the replacement battery itself began failing and displaying a "Service Recommended" warning. The battery now has significantly reduced capacity, despite relatively light use. He contacted the store multiple times seeking assistance. Because he currently lives abroad, he repeatedly explained that returning to the store was not a realistic option and asked several straightforward questions regarding warranty coverage, shipping costs, and possible remote solutions. After repeated follow-ups and emails, those questions were never answered. The only response he received was that he could return to the store or mail the computer in for review. When he requested additional information about how the warranty process would work under those circumstances, communication stopped. A battery replacement that fails within a mere matter of weeks is disappointing. But the lack of communication and the unwillingness to meaningfully address the issue afterward were far more disappointing. After he posted a review describing his experience, he received a prompt response stating that corporate had approved a full refund and asking that the negative reviews be removed. However, after providing the requested refund information, communication ceased again and the refund has not been received. The receipt and relevant email correspondence are attached for reference, including the email offering the refund and requesting that the negative reviews be removed. Readers can evaluate the situation for themselves. Based on what I have seen, I cannot recommend iFixandRepair Forest Park.

They can be hard to get ahold of by phone, and after unsuccessfully trying to go to a shop in the neighborhood, I headed here. I wish I could answer 'meh' to the value question. $79 to replace a battery? And I bought MY OWN BATTERY no less! I know it's a tricky procedure, and could incur more damage but still.. The guy told me it would take 45 or so min, and with it being small shop/pandemic times, I left to window shop down the street. That is one advantage to them being downtown, there is more to do while you wait. I left and came back, and it was done. He printed me out a receipt when the text receipt didn't work. I'd recommend if you have some extra cash, time to kill, and want to invest in your technology (when you add up what you spend to how long you keep the phone/device per month or year, its only a few bucks.)
