Mark and Quick Kill was amazing! We had contractors out to work on our attic and they noticed an active wasp nest. I was anxious to get the nest removed as quickly as possible so the contractors could get back to work. I called Quick Kill at 9:30am, they came to our house by 11:30am and had de-activated the nest by 12:30pm. They had quoted us a range of prices ($295 to $395) and ended up charging us on the low end of the range because the nest was not as involved as they had feared. Called Quick Kill at 10:00 a.m., they had a service representative out by 2:00 the same day. Tim was polite and well spoken. I showed him the hornets nest and Tim explained what it was and exactly how he was going to get rid of the nest. Tim walked the perimeter of the house looking for any other nests. Sprayed the exterior location, removed the nest and said they would come back if we saw any activity. No yearly contract pitch, just signed and paid for services provided. As it turned out, the service manager was in a nearby suburb and was able to come out that same day. He was quick and professional. He provided the service that was described to me on the phone. Terrible experience with Quick Kill - be warned! They start off great and then completely rip you off. We used them two years ago and they were fine. Last year, they show up and perform services we did not order and send us a giant bill. We call and they tell us we are set up on "auto renew" (which we would never do) and we get screwed with a stupidly large bill. I made a huge point to tell them I'm adamantly against businesses that pressure customers or feel entitled to our business under the excuse of "auto renew." I specifically told them to remove us from auto renew. THIS YEAR, a guy shows up and randomly wanders around our yard without ANY notice or authorization of any kind. We don't notice him until the end of his time crawling around our yard "spraying" (yeah pretty much with a spray you can buy at the hardware store). Now we are MAD! We call to tell them we NEVER ordered this auto renew service! I speak to Miss Rude who has a terrible attitude and makes sure to tell me that her father owns the company (spoiled brat on the phone - daddy handed her a nice little job she's terrible at as she runs off customers). Rachel is despicable and completely unhelpful. I get charged $60. and now they're sending me past due notices. The place is a complete scam. Avoid them and give your business to honest people who care about their customers. read more

I hired QuickKill in March to treat my home. They have come out three times since then and there is still an issue with the pest I requested them to treat. While they have been friendly and helpful through the process, I have to wonder if they even identified the problem appropriately. Quick Kill came to our home in Glenview over a month ago. They were able to get us in the books in a timely manner which we were very thankful for since we had a serious ant issue at our home. Mike came out and was very thorough inspecting our home for the problem areas. After the first visit we did not see anymore ants on the first and second floors, but still some were visible in the basement. Great customer service and response time! Quick Kill Exterminating responded to my email that was sent on a Sunday afternoon within 30 minutes. We were requesting them to come service the house the following day, Monday morning. No problem - they could do it. Can't say enough about their customer service and response time - these guys are on top of it. We just purchased a new home and discovered that we might be sharing it with mice. Jon was our technician and came on time Monday morning. He was friendly and experienced. Did a thorough job with everything, and took his time. Their pricing seems fair and reasonable. For the mice extermination service, it was $275 which included the initial visit, traps, sealing up minor exterior holes, and next week's follow-up visit. Quick Kill Exterminating also offers a yearly service for spraying, so we will be using them for that as well. Called Quick Kill in the really afternoon and was fortunate enough to have Mark come out the same day and spray the exterior of my house for a wasp issue that was becoming quite a nuisance. Mark estimated there could've been several hundred wasps in and near the entry point of their nest. He was quite professional and extremely helpful with all questions and concerns of mine. He also checked the interior and sprayed possible entry points where the wasps could enter. In addition Quick Kill, also sprayed the whole perimeter of the home for any other potential bugs. They were extremely accommodating We needed for someone to come and exterminate in the evening due to work schedules and for our cats to stay in the house. Andrew came in the evening and was so understanding about the cats walking around! Over the phone, we were assured that that the products used were safe for children and pets---so glad that we did not have to take the cats out for the day! We had a bad case of carpenter ants...in nearly every room! We tried all the tricks of the trade--Terro traps, vinegar on the wood floors, Raid, the boric acid solution in drilled holes and around the perimeter of the house, removing the dead tree from outside, drowning an ant colony outside in hot water...none of this helped! So, we had to call an exterminator...considering how much stress we had and how stress-free Quick Kill and Andrew made for us, I wish we called earlier! They came last night, and since then, we have only had two ants (the stragglers). Andrew was very thorough with educating us about the process. We should be completely ant free very soon! I first discovered the problem when I was dragging our garbage and recycling cans back to the house after their pickup. A whole lot of (what turned out to be yellow jackets) were flying in and out of a small (weep) hole in the brick of my house. They weren't too upset, but I was, especially since I've had a bad time with stinging insects since I was a kid. I left the cans where they were and went around the nest to get back in the house. Needless to say, I waited until after dark to do anything else, in the belief that they were less active at night. (I don't know if that's true or not, but I didn't get stung or anything like that, so I'm good with that.) Some years before, we had a similar problem in the backyard shed, and the Village came out and took care of it. So the next day, I called the Village and they told me to find an exterminator. I came here to Yelp (via Google) and contacted Quick Kill, mostly because of its five-star rating. They deserve it! Andrew came out the next day, during the timeframe that Quick Kill told me he'd be there, and he spotted the problem immediately upon arrival. It took less than a half hour for him to take out the yellow jackets and do a power spray around the exterior of the house, and he assured me that they would likely be gone within the day, and if they were still here after four days, they'd come back out for free. As near as I can tell, the nest was gone within the previously-mentioned day. I waited the four days to be sure, but I haven't spotted a single yellow jacket or any other type of stinging bug since Andrew and Quick Kill came out. Sure a load off my mind! read more

What a company! A year ago we wanted the house exterminated before we put up the sheetrock in our remodel. The owners son Tim came out, reviewed the job, was willing to work around the construction and went straight to task. Felt like it was a great job for a very fair price. A year later we called again. Reviewed the needs with Sue and I learn for the exterior barrier application to have full effectiveness, it requires a dry spell for maximum effect. Together we looked at the weather forecast and Sue realized if if wasn't done today, it wouldn't be done for over a week and today was booked up ... so I took the appointment for next week. 20 minutes later she calls me and says if I'm available, her technician could be at the house in 2 hours. When he showed up he was as courteous and informative as Tim was the year before. He was thorough, careful and detailed in his application. In the basement, he got into the areas that were hard to access and then into a large crawl space. I was impressed that such a tall guy was able to maneuver around in a short crawl space as easily as he did ... that's experience! Outside he had more questions, offered a few solutions to the aftercare of the property once an old tree that's infested with ants gets cut down in a couple weeks ... then went about the exterior barrier treatment. I've seen this barrier treatment done by others ... they pale in comparison! This technician had a high-powered applicator and was able to get up and into areas no other exterminator had ever done before! I am very happy with Quick Kill. From the family member owner-operators to their technicians, this company provides a very thorough service for a more than reasonable price ... and a 30 day guarantee! Husband and I just moved into a new house a few months ago and noticed a lot of little critters making there way in with no explanation of where they were coming from. Every day was a new bug adventure. Ants, spiders, silverfish and even a huge long 3-4in centipede crawling across our living room floor. Bugs and I are no bueno so I knew I had to call somebody but didn't know where to start as we were not used to this sort of thing in our previous apartment. Came across Quick Kill on yelp and have to say that I am extremely happy I did. Our service tech Andrew came out promptly when scheduled and did a thorough initial treatment of our place. We live in a townhouse on a slab so this sort of thing needs to be maintained as there is no way for the buggies to go anywhere but our living spaces when they get in! Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and took care of about 90% of our problem. I gave it a few weeks after to assess how many more bugs we were seeing after he came and while we haven't had anymore ant or spider problems (thank god), we were still getting silverfish issues. Andrew came out again no problem within our 30 day window to respray and try to identify where they may be coming from. They are definitely pesky little things. I am confident though that with time we will see less and less. I finally feel comfortable living in our new home now. We were so happy with our service that we decided to move forward with a quarterly maintenance plan since we know the type of place we live in will need regular upkeep.
