Definitely a fan. I don't know how to fix laptops but I'm sure good at making them run slow. Anyhow, my old laptop died a few years back,.likely a screen thing, I thought. Bought a new one and moved on. But 3 years later I remember I have tons if music in there ad it may be worth it to have I fixed. I look up computer repair on yelp and found this place. Called ahead and then showed up on a Saturday. Explained what I thought was wrong ad they said $150 in a week. Cool. A week later I call up and they say the motherboard is fried but they CAN transfer the data if I bring in a hard drive or my other laptop. So I pick up an external hard drive, drop it off, and next day they say I'm all set. Painless. And they didn't charge me for the previous work...only the transfer...$65. I would def go back but hope I won't have to for a while. read more

My dogs had cracked the screens on my 5k Mac and a MacBook Pro while I was out at work. I found Quick Fix through the Yelp reviews and it is amazing. I took my computer in (January 2010) with a nasty virus. My computer wouldn't even start. I couldn't even get to the point of starting it in Safe Mode. I talked to several other people who told me that they would have to reformat my hard drive. I was devastated because I hadn't backed anything up in months. Quick Fix told me that they would do their best to save everything on my hard drive, but they couldn't make any promises... and they were successful!!! I left with all of my data, a better virus protection program, and a laptop that runs faster than it ever has. I did come home with having a problem connecting to my network. After being talked down to by another computer repair service owner, I didn't expect to be treated well at Quick Fix . When I arrived, I got the quote and came in the next day to pick up my laptop as estimated. I came to have my laptop cleaned up of dust. Once Quick Fix dealt with my laptop, my laptop stopped shutting down on its own from overheating and I also stopped getting blue screen errors related to the graphics driver. Again they have saved my computer. They added a cooling system that stopped a lot of my problems a couple of years ago.. and then helped me when I corrupted my operating system by a stupid auto record of tv shows I configured wrong. I was very fortunate to find Quick Fix Computer Service. My Best Buy service contract was useless when my computer crashed. I was in a panic as my computer is an essential part of my business n income. Quick Fix is just around the corner from me and thankfully was open for business with all the proper pandemic cautions. After 6 months of heavy use (running music recording programs) the old PowerBook shut off and even with all the tutorials and forum deep dives, I couldn't bring it back. Great customer service with professional team. I accidentally spilled wine on my Mac book air. I have waited for 2days to let it dry, and it turned on eventually, but keyboard was completely messed and fan became noisy. Since I know that liquid damage repair is expensive, i got the estimation from 4companies by calling. Some company just jump to the conclusion to change the logic board with $600, some just say it'll be start from $500. Later I found the QuickFix. I was little worried since they didn't mention that they can fix liquid damage on their website. But they offered diagnosis only $39 which was half of the average, so I brought it immediately. A guy (forgot name) thoroughly specified what to be fixed and suggested to replace the entire keyboard and internal cleaning including logic board with lowest price I got! He said it leaked somewhere not only keyboard, but logic board itself is not that bad and doesn't need to replace. Since liquid is difficult to handle, some company tried to overcharge, but he didn't do that. He also looked very calm and confedent for repair, so I decided to leave it up to him. (Also I noticed that this company works as a team, not alone. So if someone cannot do one thing, someone can cover it which is very good different point from the other companies). In 4days, he completly repaired my mac, works perfect, and even looks new! QuickFix saved me a lot since I almost gave up and bought new one! Thank you so much. read more

My PC would not start and the operating system had become corrupted. Brought the tower in first thing in the morning and Quick Fix was able to re-install Windows onto a new drive and get me up and running the same day! There was an extra fee for the same day service, but it was definitely reasonable ($50) considering that I use my computer for work. When my computer crashed this summer, I unfortunately took it to PCS computers. They promised a lot but did not deliver and wanted an unreasonable amount of money... they charged me $20 for some bad diagnostics and I cut my losses. Had a couple of macbook pro issues and these guy earned my respect for technical skill, and for being nice guys willing to help a stranger off the street. I was fixing my keyboard and due to my clumsy fingers I lost 3 apple screws, we all know apple loves mystery and since the screws are not really replaceable, I was in trouble... I called them up and hoped they might have something close. They told me to swing by and they had a bag of left over apple screws and they just gave me what I needed absolutely free! Wow really cool of them RIGHT? While I was there I thought about my other bigger issue... I broke my speaker connector off my macbook pro, and never thought anyone could fix it. I asked if they solder and they took a look, and said no problem! Two days later, my right speaker works, I have the laptop together, and I'm stoked! These guys are amazing and I couldn't be any happier to spend the money I have spent here . My laptop one day couldn't turn on. We took it to a place kn Huntington Beach that charged a 50$ diagnostic fee and didnt bother putting the stuff back together. They told us it may be the mother board so my husband bought a new one on e-bay . After putting it in, the power turned on, however the screen was still not showing . We took it here...and 120$ later it was fixed within a week ! They told us what happened, everything was put back together . No missing pieces .
