I moved to Austin in 2002 and shortly after found Dr. Quick. I have loved this office from the start. They have always been very accommodating with my schedule. The staff has always been professional and friendly. Dr. Quick has always taken the time to answer all of my questions and I have never felt rushed in and out. I inherited bad teeth and remember having dental work as young as five years old. So, that being said, I tend to get anxiety when I know that the dental drill will be used. In all my years of dental work, I did not discover laughing gas until I was 37 years old when I was given the option to use it at Dr. Quick's office. This made a world of difference and totally alleviated my anxiety. For anxiety, his office also offers headphones, massage chairs, television, and I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting. I had a cracked tooth that my previous dentist missed on 2 consecutive visits despite my insistence that I was feeling pain. I visited Dr. Quick for a second opinion and he diagnosed the issue right away. A couple of weeks after my visit, I got a custom crown placed over my cracked tooth. I haven't felt any pain since. Thank goodness for Dr. Quick's knowledge and experience to be able to properly diagnose and treat the problem. Great staff too! read more

Have been going here for over 20 years. Today my daughter went for her cleaning and got charged. Instead of contacting the parent, they charged my daughter because our insurance is no longer accepted at the location. They have not had consistent techs for years now. I've not been thrilled with my last few visits anyway. So this experience of taking advantage of a teenager who doesn't know anything about insurance is my last time with them. read more

Dr. Quick is the best! I just had a successful root canal and he was able to prescribe something for anxiety that made me fall asleep during most of the procedure. Root canal healed up great and I'm able to use the tooth. He performed a lot of tests on the tooth before recommending the root canal. The hygienist was kind too when I went in for a cleaning. read more

Took my father here to get dental work done. We were quoted a price for all the fillings. Most was supposed to go to insurance according to the office staff. After all the work was done, we got a bill for almost the entire amount. They told us that insurance wouldn't actually cover the procedures... now that it was done. They have been trying to collect the money owed (according to them) and they keep adding more to it every month. If you go here, get everything in writing and definitely do not put a credit card on file! read more

I loved my appointment I had with Sally (hygienist) and Dr. Quick. I had an appointment in Thursday at 9:30 and was seen at 10. That was the only negative... but everything else was amazing. Love the clinic and Sally is a patient, caring, gentle and friendly hygienist. She's thorough and really good at what she does. After I got my teeth cleaned I saw Dr. Quick. The team at Dr. Quick's office are top notch professionals with excellent customer service. I get very anxious about dental visits, and Demi went out of her way to explain everything she was going to be doing, and to keep me calm and informed. I would have come back based on Demi alone but then I met Dr. Quick. Dr. Quick's has a gentle, informative, calming and assuring bed side manner. Dr. Quick was able to work quickly, painlessly, and assuredly within the small space that I can manage to open my mouth due to jaw pain/ tmj. The laboratory tech was a genius today in patching up my night guard that I had ground a hole into ( and I didn't even buy that night guard from them). Excellent customer service!!!! The women at the front desk and the technician have always been very friendly and helpful. Dr. Quick is as dry as can be. Will not elaborate on answers to simple questions and even though he saw a cavity on my tooth, he suggested to get a crown since the cavity was small. I requested for him to take care of the cavity BEFORE the crown so as to avoid any further work. I mean, it makes sense, right? The office manager should not be allowed to talk to people or to be let out of her dungeon. She has a terrible attitude and loves to talk over people. I asked them to verify my insurance and told them there had been a change. I was told everything was "still the same." I asked again the day of the appointment before any work was done. I was told not to worry since there had been no changes to my coverage. I ended up paying over $800 dlls because they did not bother to check thoroughly until after the work was done. Every time I called to make a payment the office manager had an attitude like she was doing me a favor in answering the phone. If you have a choice of where to go, avoid this place. It's not worth it. read more

This review comes from the personal perspective of someone pathologically terrified of dental work. I first visited here in 2010 after chipping a molar. My boss (it happened at work) actually just looked up a nearby covered provider in the phone book and sent me there because I was bleeding and crying like a #!$ing baby. I had not been to the dentist at all in 12 years. Why not? Because another dentist had told me I needed a few fillings at the time, only she couldn't do them because I was pregnant with my now-12-year-old-daughter. Naturally I ran away and never looked back. Right? Dr. Quick's office prescriped a generic version of Halcion, my first experience with sedation dentistry. (I believe my phobia stems from the first few fillings I ever had as a child, which that dentist said were too shallow to require novocaine. He was wrong.) The work was done without panic or pain on my part. Dr. Quick also uses nitrous oxide, which is probably pretty standard these days, but it was a first for me. I couldn't have cared half a rat's patootie what was going on in there. To get caught up, I've since had three rounds of fillings with Dr. Quick, including all four wisdom teeth. This last round, I skipped the night-before dose of Halcion and only took one of the two prescribed pills of the morning-before dose because I'm just not that afraid of it anymore. I am probably ready to give up the sedation altogether for future work. My experience with all the staff has been very positive - they seem to be a kind, friendly, and very understanding bunch. I'll keep going here as long as my insurance lets me. read more

Not dependable. I had an energancy and they said they had an appt today at 12:45. I said that was perfect. They took my insurance info, and made the appt. They didnt call back to confirm the insurance went through. I came early to my appt and they stated that although my insurance was verified, they hadnt scheduled my appt in time and I could no longer be seen. I had already scheduled off work, arranaged my xrays to be transferred and was even early. I wouldnt recommend them. If you are on time and provide all the information they need, they may still forget to book your appt and you would have gone to all that trouble for nothing. read more

What a wonderful experience! Everyone is so friendly and I haven't had a dental cleaning that good in years!

I had been going to Quick since I was in high school and had complete confidence in him and his staff for many years. That changed when I went in for a cleaning and was talked into a "deep cleaning". My entire mouth took maybe 30 minutes, which is ridiculous. Deep cleanings usually call for injections to numb up your mouth and is done half your mouth at a time. I know, because they've done it at Quick's office in the past. This time there were no injections, only lidocain (sp?) and Shelly was done in about 30 minutes. Then I receive the bill and things became crystal clear. My insurance was charged 200+ dollars per quadrant. So it was over $800 for a 30 minute cleaning. I was very tempted to call my insurance and file a fraud charge. That option is still on the table. They offered to clean my teeth again, but the damage was done and my confidence in Quick is gone. Buyer beware. read more
