Then I sent them pictures of the parts that my surgery was gonna be and they got back to me ASAP about how im perfect for a straight breast augmentation. That has been the opposite of my experience with Synergy and Dr. Mehta's staff, and it's been a really disappointing experience. Basically, since the moment I paid for surgery, it's been like pulling teeth to get folks to communicate with me- terrifying when you are supposedly two weeks from a big surgery and don't know what's going on. I first had a consult with Dr. Mehta many months ago and arranged surgery for mid-August. We discussed at the time a genetic condition I have that was going to require cardiac clearance. No problem. I saw my cardiologist a month in advance of surgery, got clearance, and sent it over the same day. I spoke with his patient coordinator, Amanda, that same day. We spoke about provisions of my clearance in detail. She assured me that she had spoken to Dr. Mehta and that we were all good to go. She reached out about a week before my pre-op appointment that they needed payment in full. I expressed concerns again- are we sure everything is good to go for surgery? Shouldn't I wait to pay at my pre-op appointment? Not a problem, we're all set, she assured me, so I paid up. Flash to my pre-op last week, and Dr. Mehta seemed a bit caught off guard when I mentioned my clearance and asked for reassurance that we were all good to move forward as planned. He reassured me we were, but then about 30 minutes after I left the office, a member of his staff called me to let me know they wouldn't be able to do the surgery as planned because they'd looked into my condition more and talked to the anesthesiologist (something that anyone could have done over the months I've been in this process). I asked to speak to Dr. Mehta, who was apologetic and reassured me that his team would look into other options and call me back ASAP, since we were less than three weeks out from surgery and he knew I had already rearranged my life. It's been radio silence since then. I've sent emails which have gone unanswered. I spoke to their head of coordinators yesterday after I called, who was supposed to call me back or give me an update yesterday, and didn't. I spent months planning for a surgery, arranging time off and child care, and now I've just been left in the lurch, with a bunch of wasted time, waiting on a refund and still waiting for folks to treat me like a human and actually communicate with me. If you want to be treated like just a number, maybe this place is for you. But if you are like me (first timer, nervous about major surgery, want to feel like people are taking great care of you), I would steer clear of Synergy.

I'm surprised at some of these reviews and assure you this is a very professional organization with a wonderful staff. They are pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. (Shout out to Kelly and Heather) I have to think based on some of these other comments that he has weeded out his staffing issues and fine tuned his practice over the years because everyone that I worked with was great. My surgeries were very good and although I had a few healing issues, it had nothing to do with them and more to do with my weird body reacting strangely and me not adhering 100% to instructions. I have also been using their med spa and have been very pleased. I've had a couple of BBL and Moxie laser treatments and its been more effective than anything else I've tried. I have some dark spots that I've been trying to get rid of for 10 years and now they are almost gone. (Thanks Kari). The staff is friendly and welcoming every time I walk through the door and in this day and age when most places have no friendly employees, it is very much appreciated. I was a regular client of Olivia's. When she moved on, my appointment was abruptly canceled with little consideration for the inconvenience to me. When I was rescheduled, I was asked to come in at an earlier time that I had already explained I couldn't accommodate. And, just today, they asked me again to come in earlier at a time I can't accommodate. More recently, I booked a skincare consultation with Salma, hoping to receive a personalized treatment plan for dry, dull skin. Instead, the esthetician barely examined my skin before returning with an armful of expensive products. I was only able to sample one of them, and there was virtually no discussion of treatment options or facial services that might address my concerns. The entire appointment felt more like a sales pitch than a professional skincare consultation. As a longtime client, I expected thoughtful recommendations and a customized plan, not pressure to buy products and a poor attitude from someone one who is supposedly a licensed esthetician. I left feeling like my time wasn't valued and that customer care has taken a back seat to retail sales. Also, when I speak to someone at the front desk, I don't think it's too much to ask that they are professional with me but that wasn't the case today with Holly. When did patients needing medical care become unimportant; why are we dehumanizing needs of patients? Somehow going to the doctor has become a profit driven 15-minute visit scheduling problem. It's a moral one. It reflects a system that values documentation over dialogue, billing over bonding, and efficiency over empathy. It's the quiet erosion of what medicine used to be: a conversation between people who trusted each other. If we want to restore that trust, we have to reclaim time, not from patients but for them. We have to re-humanize care by giving space to the parts that don't fit in a drop-down menu. Sense of impatience, the hurry, and the sense that the doctor is listening but not hearing. Being told "We'll have to schedule another visit." "I'll only bring up one issue today." Nobody cares anymore about the patient. Did you go to medical school to help people or to help the broken system? Because when we finally stop pretending that 15 minutes is enough, we might rediscover what those minutes were supposed to mean.
