Very transparent and genuine Dental Clinic. All of the staff proved very genuine care and feedback. I found Bridgeview Dental on Groupon and purchased the Dental Exam + Cleaning Deal. I received a 3D X-Ray of my teeth, and spent approximately one hour where my teeth were constructed via a virtual image. I was able to see my cavities, plaque, gums, and other dental features that were vital to my exam. I received a very thorough cleaning and left the office with plenty of recommendations for my future dental care needs. Very genuine office doing honest work. They offer affordable dental care plans for those who do not have dental insurance (Basic plan was approximately $395 a year that came with two cleanings and an annual dental exam). These were my healthy gums pre-op I was sold a dream of better future dental health by getting veneers. Dr. Loveless with bridgeview dental in Austin, TX did not consult with me before shaving down my beautiful teeth sold to me by his assistant. I was never advised of risks, I was promised same size and shape as my natural teeth (I am 105 lbs and very petite mouth and teeth that was in no way taken into consideration for the final product), I was promised the same smile as I was very happy with it before this. I left the office with out-of-the-box veneers that the assistant ordered with no sort of customization. I was devastated walking out of that dental office with giant horse temps. I knew I had just made the biggest mistake of my life and has been hard on my mental and physical health since that day and caused me to be out of work for a year. I had 2 separate therapists working together for my mental health. I was so upset, he was willing to re-do them. I was left in temps for 9 months (and when the gum inflammation started) with no form of concern for my dental health unless I called and complained about the temps turning colors after 3 or so months and crushed my self esteem feeling like a problem patient to get what I was promised and paid 34k for. It has been so hard and expensive to get advise how to treat this and an overwhelmingly lonely journey. Please reach out to me if you have advise that can help reverse this damage to get my overall health back. My dental health was immaculate. My smile was beautiful. It is a decision I made that I have to live with, including all the issues that came with it. With all that being said he was pleased to let me know after my experience it is now their policy to consult patients with veneer inquiries and washed his hands clean of me by granting a refund and another dentist with no attention to detail and lost my original molds (Dr. Loveless did not scan my original teeth and I only 1 copy of the molds) took over where this is my final product. I had a lot of faith in both of the dentists that worked on me and very hard to trust anyone after this experience killing my spirit in many ways. I brush/floss/waterpik daily (former dental assistant) and religiously rinsing with RX mouthwash for temporary relief and my gums are still declining faster than ever. I do not wish this upon anyone and would like to spread awareness that unless veneers are your only choice do not proceed with this procedure and it should have more restrictions as a last resort. The least transparent and hands on dental care I have experienced. You are not going to the dentist office, you are going to the dental hygienist office, who, will persuade you to return every 4 months. After I returned 3 times in a year because it was "needed", it still did not warrant a visit from Dr.Loveless, AND she wanted me to come back in another 4 months! (I was not shocked insurance did not cover the 3rd visit). However, I am 31 years old with no history of cavities or gum disease and unfortunately, like much of the general public, I trusted this team because I care about my oral hygiene. Nevertheless it's discouraging to comply with a diagnosis or recommendation when there's a perpetuating feeling of money grabbing at every visit. read more

OK so this can get pretty long, but I will keep it as short as possible. So I am from NYC. And was heading to Austin for ACL, and a work conference. I needed my teeth cleaned BAD. I called maybe 3 days in advance. Christine let me know that they wouldn't be able to see me when I could come, so I said if there were any cancellations to please let me know. She reached out a day later, and let me know they were able to move someone around and get me in! Lifesaver. She's an amazing human. I got lost in the center, and they literally came outside and waved me in. So cool. Tracy (I am 99.9% sure that is her name), did my cleaning. She was an absolute professional, thorough, and did a fantastic job. Dr. Loveless was very nice, didn't try to sell me anything, and we just chatted for a while. To be honest I wish they were in NY. Very disappointing. I saw a Groupon and bought x-ray and cleaning package. I had to attend 3 separate appointments to do all the things. The first time they took all fancy x-rays. Next, it was an actual cleaning and the third one talking to the dentist about the issues. I was VERY disappointed about the upsale this office is doing. They do not care about the patient, but only about how to make the most money quickest. This was the worst teeth cleaning I had in my life. They went so deep, poking me during the whole cleaning, that is was painful for me for the next three days. My gums were not bleeding before the appointment but was bleeding for the next week and a half afterwards. They suggested I needed even deeper cleaning for $1,600 after my cleaning. I saw two other dentists afterwards to get another opinion and both of them confirmed I did not need deep cleaning at all. My husband also had an appointment and they tried to upsale deep cleaning for him as well, when other two dentists again said he did not need it. His hygienist also went too deep and that's why I tried to avoid same hygienist, but as we figured out, my hygienist did exactly the same. My husband bought a second cleaning at the same time but he is not willing to go back due to terrible experience the first time. First I thought this office was new that's why they are having groupon deals too good to pass, but they've been in business over 20 years. That's a sign. In business over 20 years and not having enough clients? I was unable to get to my regular dentist because I did not schedule cleaning in advance, that's why I was reaching out somewhere else. My other dentist is opening up office after office around town, with so many happy clients. The only impressive thing this office had was all the fancy xray machines. That was top notch. Dr. Lance was highly knowledgable and made sure I was informed in keeping a healthy smile. Although they have membership plans that are reasonable, I have decided to go on a dental plan offered by my company for my specific needs. Dr. Loveless and his team has been a fantastic partner in maintaining and improving my oral health. Tara always gives me a warm welcome and will bend over backwards to get me on the schedule if an emergency pops up. A filling in my front tooth fell out around 11am, and they had me in at 1pm to take care of it. It looks brand new. A few weeks ago I cracked a crown around 4pm; they had me in at 7:30 the next morning. It already had a root canal so it wasn't sensitive but they treated it very timely. They made the new crown IN-HOUSE with their 3-D printer and had me out in less than 2 hours. Paulina is the dental assistant and always makes sure I am comfortable during the procedures. She gives great explanations on why xyz needs to be done and couldn't be nicer. Finally, Dr. Loveless is so professional and down-to-earth. I fully trust him and highly recommend his practice. He will make recommendations on how to prioritize your treatment plan and take advantage of insurance. I've been going to Bridgeview Dental for many years. My previous dental experiences were less than stellar, so I was nervous when I first showed up. I'm soooo happy to have found Dr. Loveless and his amazing staff, including Joanna, Xtine, and Paulina. They actually care about you, and want you to have a good experience with them. Life Saver. I starting using Bridgeview after another dentist performed a root canal on the wrong tooth.... This area of my mouth has been a pretty constant issue (no fault of bridgeview). It was recommended that I have full implants done, but I am stubborn and frugal. Lance was willing to just work with me and sort of commented, that "If it's not bothering you now, we'll monitor it.....but it will likely come to a head at some point." AND IT DID! I was in the Canadian Rockies hiking when the whole side of my face began to have SIGNIFICANT pain. I called their office and explained my pain and swelling.... Without even an "I told you so", Xtine arranged to have some antibiotics and and anti-inflammatory waiting for me at a pharmacy just across the border. Above and beyond! read more

I experienced my first visit at Bridgeview dental today. First impressions are everything and they passed with flying colors! From the moment I walked in the door I was received with a warm welcome by Tara, into the inviting waiting area. The peaceful ambiance was a welcome bonus, as dentist visits cause me much anxiety. I was called to have my x-rays and then lead back to the exam room which I found to be exceptionally organized and clean. The dental assistant was very kind and reassuring as she took some initial information from me. Shortly after she left, Dr. Loveless came in and kindly greeted me. The level of professionalism mixed with approachability was perfect. He addressed my concerns, severe wisdom tooth pain, and did a thorough examination of the problem area. Dr. Loveless then invited my husband to the conference room where we discussed the different options available for my situation. When stating his recommendations he was sincere, direct and to the point. He also was very patient, as we tend to have many questions. Since the appointment, I have been in communication with Xtine(office manager), who has gone out of her way to be helpful. I'm so glad I gave them a chance. I had a full mouth restoration done by Dr. Loveless at Bridgeview dental to correct an overextended jaw/bite from years of grinding my teeth. I also had my existing veneers replaced. I am pleased to report that the entire process went as well as could be expected and the end result is beautiful, natural, and healthy looking teeth. I've been recently searching for a new dentist in the Austin area as the one that I used to go to was too far from my new office and home. Bridgeview Dental is super close and in a really convenient location on 360! After reading some of the other reviews, I was pretty shocked at what some of the people said, as I had an extremely good experience! It was really easy to schedule an appointment, even as a new patient, and the staff was courteous to me on the phone. They fit me in and I was able to get in and get out for a regular check up during my lunch break. I did know that they were covered on my insurance first though. My dentist was fabulous! I am a very loyal customer and always try to maintain my relationships with doctors. After almost a year of seeing Dr. Loveless I have had to switch to another neuromuscluar dentist. I have never had the worst treatment in my life. 1. They do not communicate effectively 2. Did not come up with a long term plan for my TMJ 3. Would not work with my work schedule- AT ALL! After calling them several times in terrible pain from a misaligned orthotic splint they finally brought me to tears on the phone. I could not leave work for a day off- so I had to wait 3 months to get it fixed. This was completely against the hippocratic oath- No decent doctor would allow a patient to suffer like that. 4. They lied to me when I asked if there were any other Neuromuscular dentists in the area. They told me the closest one was in College Station 5. They charged my debit card 3 times for 1 visit ( total about $9,000). Because of their mistake all of my checks and bills bounced. 6. After not even having the orthotic for a year it cracked in half 7. I just got fillings for several teeth at Bridgeview last month. However I had to have a totally new exam for the new dentist- where I was informed that I I needed more fillings for ones Bridgeview didn't fill. Please learn from my pain, frustration, and I hate to say it, stupidity for not changing dentists sooner. read more

I am writing this for those of you who are TMJ(D) sufferers and are contemplating "Neuromuscular Dentistry". If I had known that I was about to embark upon a time consuming, poorly executed "treatment plan"(FYI-I was never given a treatment plan), that was going to cause me SEVERE, DEBILITATING pain, I obviously would never have pursued it. On the first day I visited Dr. Loveless' office, I spoke with Dr. Loveless, then I went to another room where Paulina made me a temporary bite. As I was leaving, Tara asked me to write a review of my visit. (weird) The bite Paulina made me was great. I wore it on the car ride home, and my masseter relaxed enough to stop burning pain. It was miraculous, and gave me hope. Unfortunately, this did not continue. Once I received my permanent orthotic, that I wore 24/7, I started having pain again, which I shared and was told "okay, we'll TENs you." This TENsing experience often took up to a few hours; from moment of arrival to time of departure., and happened once, sometimes twice a week. From the moment I received my permanent orthotic, I never felt out of pain again. I often found Dr. Loveless made contradictory statements, but I followed what he said because I thought he knew what he was doing. For example, if all of my headaches, masseter pain, etc. were due to my jaw being in the wrong position, then, it would seem, once the jaw was in the right position, all pain would dissipate. Well, according to him I "had a good bite", but I was still experiencing a lot of occipital pain, temporal pain, and for the first time in my life, experiencing left jaw joint pain. He tried to sell me another orthotic that would keep my jaw in place while I slept, which I declined, because it seemed to me that if I had had a good bite, like he said, I shouldn't need it, nor would I have pain or NEW symptoms. He said I needed to go to a chiropractor because my AO joint was out of alignment. I still felt that if I had a "good bite" my symptoms should be decreasing rather than increasing, but went to the chiropractor against my better judgement. He ended up having to make me a temporary plastic orthotic ( a haphazard adjustment to my permanent orthotic had me in a horrible bite position, which his computer made perfectly clear to him-thus the jaw joint pain), that I would wear while my permanent orthotic was being repaired from his poor attention to occlusal details. I put the temporary orthotic in my mouth, told him "it feels weird", to which he replies "oh. You'll get used to it.", briefly talked to me about PHASE 2, and sent me on my way. I left and went home to have lunch. Upon my first bite of food I was in excruciating pain; not only did the new orthotic cause my left jaw more pain but it also ripped my inner lower lip to shreds. What happened you ask? He didn't fit the appliance to the contours of my mouth. A competent dentist will grind away the portions of the orthotic that are too long. What a painful bloody mess. Why didn't I just take it out you ask???? Well. I tried. For hours. The bloody orthotic(literally) was tortuously stuck in my mouth. I tried calling his office, but they had closed for the day at Noon, It was a Thursday. I was finally able to pry the orthotic off of my teeth with the help of my husband TWO hours later. I repeatedly called the emergency number Thurs., Fri., and throughout the weekend, until I finally got a hold of Xtine early Monday morning. I shared her my miserable experience with her, and her response was " oh. Well, I mean, your bite should go back to the way it was in a couple of days". ??? It didn't. By the time Dr. Loveless finally returned my call on Weds., yes! Weds., I had vowed to never set foot in his office again. Unfortunately, the worst was yet to come for me. I spent the next 3 1/2 months in excruciating, DEBILITATING pain. Living off of muscle relaxants, hydrocodone( every 5 1/2 hrs) and finally having to succumb to an anti-seizure medication that my GP prescribed off label to help me with the debiltating pain. I did not leave my house for over three months, save for gong to the doctor due to the pain I was in. I couldn't work, spend time with my kids; nothing. I could barely hold my head up on a good day. Are they nice there? Yes. WHO CARES??? Being nice has nothing to to with being competent in treating TMJ, or anything. Interestingly enough, he refunded the money I spent on his "treatment", but I suspect he did it more to protect himself than anything. He also lied to me about how he knew the prolotherapist my GP referred me to, (to help me with my excruciating pain and TMJD). Oddly enough, what spurred me to write this review, was the fact that Dr.Loveless personally brought my records to the Prolotherapist's office( CYA much?), and wrote misleading, saccharine notes to the next dentist I went to, who consequently said I didn't need any dental work done. One word. Charlatan. read more

Just finished my 2.5 hour first visit for teeth cleaning carefully done for my receding gums. They said Texas state law required the dentist to do a full exam before the teeth cleaning. And, when they brought out the telescopic camera to video my teeth up close, yes, I did think it was very Hollywood. But, I grew up in LA, so for me, it was great to see what is actually happening inside. They were always busy with my information gathering process and informing about my teeth (things I already knew). But, it was great to see it for myself. Joanna did my teeth cleaning, and she was great - really the most thorough I've ever had done. I'm hoping for some specials for ZOOM, but, I'm settled - I don't feel the need to shop around for a dentist. What would I change if it made sense? I'd have more windows - more natural light. read more

Recently, I had gone to another dentist (because of location) for repair of a chipped Lumineer; in the end I returned to Dr. Loveless to finish the work as I feel there is no one better in Austin! Bridgeview Dental was NOT clear to my husband that they are OUT OF NETWORK with Guardian, instead saying they would be able to work with our insurance to reimburse us for whatever is covered. NOT CLEAR AT ALL!!!!! We paid them almost $3000 out of pocket and now our insurance is saying they'll only reimburse us for a few hundred dollars. Be careful to ask specifically if they are IN NETWORK OR OUT OF NETWORK... because they won't go out of their way to tell you! read more

Dr Loveless and his team do such a great job! Every appointment I've ever had was under an hour! They don't make you wait forever, they are very attentive and friendly. I went into the office for Invisalign and they did a tremendous job! They explained everything perfectly and worked with my insurance to give me the best rate possible. Paulina is so great and friendly, helpful and hard working.The front desk is so great with helping you make appointments that fit your schedule and send you reminders. I've been a patient for more than 3 years. I will never ever go anywhere else. Today, after hours, on a 3 day weekend, while out of state. I experienced severe tooth pain that I think is due to a sinus infection. I was able to get in touch with Xtine and she and Dr Loveless arranged a prescription for me right across the street from my hotel. Top-notch. I give 4 stars ONLY because they didn't take my insurance plan. But when I say this is a perfect office & staff, I mean they were top notch! The best office I've ever been to. They're friendly, warm, helpful, you get in AT your appointment time, not half an hour or more later. I have a terrible time with X-rays, and in 20 years, I've literally never had anyone listen to me about th best and easiest way to get X-rays on me without me gagging. They were amazing. They listened, did it the way I told them and we got the X-rays in ten minutes as opposed to an hour with all the other places. They were sensitive to my problem, didn't get frustrated with me. I have always told previous nurses about my issue and warned them in advance but still they never listened. Bridgeview had amazing equipment and experienced staff who made it quick and painless. The hygienist was amazing! They're very knowledgable and patient. They gave me a great plan for my treatment. If I could afford to pay for work on 8 teeth out of pocket, I would not have ever left this clinic. Unfortunately, I don't have 5 grand laying around. But if you have a dental insurance plan that they accept, go try them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Although I really like Dr Loveless, I won't be going back after my second visit. Not only are they really expensive, but the hygenist that cleaned my teeth is rude and condescending. Her name is Joanna. I've never been treated so poorly by a dental hygenist in my life. She had a nasty attitude about my...MY..teeth and mouth even though I've been told by every other dentist how beautiful I have kept my teeth.
