2 crowns replaced, they were cracked and stained and a mess, Dr. Schmid transformed them info beautiful shiny new teeth. Bite is perfect!

I recently had 2 crowns replaced at Dr. Schmid's office. He and his staff were amazing. It's the best dental work I've ever had, amazing quality. See photos, they are perfect! Dr. Schmid is so accurate and skilled, he's gentle and fast and evaluates all options. He looks at your situation as unique and provides expert guidance. Bobbi in the front office is the best! She billed my insurance and I had a check within 2 weeks. She is so nice and takes care of everything. She put me on a waiting list and got me in right away as well. Five stars all the way!

Over all, just a great guy. Does good work, focused on customers! Staff is all very friendly. If your looking for a dentist I give him my recommendation! Jim B

I have wanted veneers for as long as I know, but I've been waiting for the right time / perfect place to do it. After seeing all the amazing reviews here, I decided to go in for a consultation and loved it! They make you feel so comfortable and want to make your vision a reality. I decided to go through with it and get 8 veneers on top. It was an amazing experience and I love my teeth. I have never felt so confident in my life!!! I seriously love this place so much, and if you're considering them for veneers, go here!

Schmid because he listened, and his assistant Bobbi seemed very educated on the process.

Other oral surgeons I had met with did not have a good bedside manner. Dr. Tadros was completely different: kind, gentle, listened and addressed my fears and confident (as he should be.) I highly recommend him for any oral surgery needs you have and might have been putting off. .

I found Hill Country Oral Surgery on Yelp and Google and decided to give it a try. The office is clean and modern, with comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, and even a mini fridge stocked with water. The entire staff was amazing--from day one they made sure I had all the information I needed, and they were super helpful in checking in after the procedure to make sure I was doing well. Dr. Cavaretta really listened to my concerns, and because I was anxious, we chose to go the anesthesia route. Lizette and George (the day-of care team) were fantastic and made me feel completely at ease throughout. I was in and out quickly and am already anticipating a smooth recovery. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is--I'm definitely coming back here!

He delivers a great dental service, is gentle, and makes a usually (historically for me anyway) painful and horrendous process easy and painless. You don't have to worry about your purse strings because he is also honest. His secretary and dental hygienists are also nice people and easy to talk to. It's like they genuinely want to be your friend. Furthermore, if you are afraid of drilling or having your teeth cleaned he has gas that can prevent anxiety. He will walk you through the process and make sure you're ok before he drills. I recommend him to everyone I know who needs a dentist. On another note, sometimes judging a good dentist/doctor has a lot to do with the company they keep. I'll repeat - his staff is excellent. All around a great experience. Trust this guy.

Someone else would take over the practice, but a dental "hat trick" of finding three good family dentists in a row wasn't likely. Enter, Dr. Aldo Ronci. Ronci looks to be younger and therefore perhaps less experienced than he actually is. (I even asked him how old he was - if he was irked by such an intrusive question he was mature enough to conceal it.) I was happy that he didn't rush the visit, and showed genuine concern, not only about my teeth, but pocketbook too. Ronci's dental chair is extremely cushy. I don't know much else about dental equipment other than his looked advanced enough to do everything but cook dinner. Dentistry has come a long way since days of yore when dental drills were only slightly less jarring than a jack hammer. More importantly, I found Dr. Ronci's work to be meticulous and very nearly pain-free. He even managed to tame my dread of the Novocain needle (assisted by hygienist Denise's calming hand-pats). The front desk is manned by Cynthia and Lei, who greet each of the patients like the friends we have become.

While he is…read morea nice man and the office staff are very nice, he only has two dental techs and my husband and I do not like one of the techs. Apparently, we are not the only ones as you have to wait months to see the other technician which put me way behind my cleaning schedule. So, I was on the hunt for a light, bright office with good vibes, upbeat music, a nice and friendly staff as well as an office up to date on the latest technology and I seem to have found everything I was looking for with Dr. Matthew Horne. Mia is a member of his front desk staff and she really gets all of the kudos. From my introduction to her over the phone to our encounter in person, I knew I had chosen well for my family. They are very thorough and for that reason, your first appointment may take a bit longer than normal, but I care deeply about my teeth and I appreciated the attention to detail. My brief encounter with Dr. Horne was also just as efficient. I left very happy and I also scheduled an appointment for my husband.

After the x-rays (the technician, Peter, was great) was shuffled to the hygienist. She kept calling me "honey" in a condescending tone and said she was "surprised" my x-rays looked so good after waiting so long to visit a dentist. Was asked multiple times about Invisalign, braces and other cosmetics that I had already said I wasn't interested in. I was really getting the hard sell at this point. She checked my gums and said they were in need of some TLC but nothing severe. She said it would be best to break up the cleaning into a 2-part visit. I asked what that would cost and she said she'd have the billing specialist work out the plan. The dentist came in, looked at my teeth for maybe 2 minutes then said i would need a cleaning (the whole reason for my visit) and agreed it would require 2 more visits. She then said I needed to watch some video about gum disease from the 1990's and left. The billing specialist then walked me through a multi-visit plan costing upwards of 600-1000 a visit! Then gave me a bill for 300 for that visit where i received no cleaning at all and only had x-rays taken. It was a complete scam, zero patient care, total hard-sell on cosmetics and dr. doyle clearly only cares about making money and not the health of the patients. I left sobbing and feeling less then human. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.

Dental House I was a…read morenew patient at Dental House back in the summer of 2022 with Dr. Tiffany Paiva. I neglected my teeth during the pandemic and needed a lot of deep cleaning and work done - including a crown. After my initial check up, X-rays, and deep cleaning Dr. Paiva and I discussed steps going forward. I explained my lifestyle which involves a 100% travel job - currently working in NYC the majority of my time. I'm only home in Austin every other weekend. Since offices are open weekends, I always have to make way advanced flight reservations to be available on a weekday in Austin. In order to best approach my dental care, I asked Dr. Paiva for the office to provide a list of all necessary procedures, ranked in priority, so that I could take care of them piece meal. And hopefully get everything done within a few months. This also was a sizable total cost, even after insurance, and easier for me to pay in smaller chunks. Dr. Paiva continued to insist I take care of everything in as soon as possible - within a couple weeks. She refused to listen to me that this request was impossible, mostly because of my out of state work; I already had my flights booked a month in advance. I had to repeat myself at least 4 times on why this would not work. Dr. Paiva's response to me was "It sounds to me that what you're saying is that your work is more important than your health". How dare she! I've never been so disrespected by a health provider. Even though I had one more follow up appointment, I knew in that moment I would not be going back to Dr. Paiva again. The Dental office did, however, draw up a list of procedures ranked in priority, like I had asked. My overall assessment: the office is nice, friendly and respectable, along with using equipment that appears to be top notch. Dr. Paiva is knowledgeable and "generally" friendly. But she demonstrated complete disregard for my circumstance and outright disrespected me in the most infuriating way. For this reason I will never step foot in her office again. Since then, I have switched to another nearby, respectful dentist.

I just got my new veneers for those two teeth put on yesterday and I'm incredibly happy with how they look and how much better my bite feels. I'm sharing my personal experience at CDA to help others make informed decisions about their dental…read morecare. I'm using an alias to protect my privacy since I'll be discussing detailed health information in this post. In January 2025, I began treatment at CDA and agreed to a full-mouth restoration from their recommendation, which cost me $40,520. I was told that this would provide a long-term solution to prevent grinding and give me a perfect smile. Although I had some initial reservations, the large number of 5-star reviews influenced my decision to go forward, hoping for the permanent solution to my grinding. However, my experience did not meet the expectations I was led to believe. In January, Dr. Barras removed all of my natural enamel at the direction of the director/dental assistant and the non-practicing dentist/owner, who create the treatment plans. In February, I underwent four extensive procedures when it should have been only one because the same canted crowns were placed multiple times. The office attributed this to the lab sending the wrong crowns, but I had to endure the discomfort each time. After the crowns were initially cemented, I experienced constant and severe pain, especially while eating and drinking. Over the course of several follow-up visits for pain, the director/dental assistant claimed that my pain was due to my bite even though my main symptom was temperature sensitivity, so she continued having the treating dentist do multiple bite adjustments with no resolution to my pain. Unsatisfied with the repetitious explanations yet unable to get resolutions to my pain, I sought second and third opinions from unaffiliated dental offices. The outside evaluations suggested that my ongoing pain was likely due to open margins from multiple crowns not being seated correctly, and that excess cement had been buried into my gums, which they said most likely contributed to the development of 8-10 cavities in a short period of time. CDA never disclosed these possible issues to me, even though X-rays had shown cracked crowns from my first permanent appointment in February. Due to my teeth decaying quickly (possibly from the excess cement) and the extreme pain from open margins, I was told I needed to have the entire work redone. This has caused me significant emotional distress and financial burden, as it will cost me more than double what I initially paid. I was also told by other professionals that a full-mouth restoration isn't always a permanent solution, as CDA had stated, meaning more costly and painful dental work may be necessary in the future after I'm done with the current restoration redo. Another challenge I faced with CDA was the difficulty in obtaining my full dental records. Despite several requests, the documents I received seemed incomplete and inconsistent with my recollection of my appointments. I noticed discrepancies in the records, such as additions that never occurred and exclusions of things that did, with many notes focusing on aesthetics, when most of my visits were related to pain management. I requested a refund multiple times, and although one was eventually offered, it came with conditions, including signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), releasing them from liability, and agreeing not to report my experience to the dental board. Given the issues with the work I received, I did not feel comfortable signing these releases. As a result, they informed me I could not have the refund unless I signed. I received a cease-and-desist letter from their attorney last month too when a review was posted about my experience which was later reported by the business for deletion. For that reason, I am leaving out a lot of details about my experience. Last week, the attorney verbally agreed to give me the refund if I signed an NDA without the liability release, which I said I would agree to, but then they sent another liability release which was never part of the verbal agreement. Ultimately, I encourage anyone considering major dental work to get multiple opinions and ask detailed questions from independent dentists about the necessity and long-term viability of the proposed plan. If you have already received care from this office and are experiencing complications, I highly recommend seeking an outside evaluation from a dentist unaffiliated with CDA. I hope my story encourages others to advocate for themselves. I did not have the luxury of reading reviews like this before choosing this business. I spent many sleepless nights in pain while reading the glowing reviews, wondering why my experience was so different. Now, after this long and painful road, I wonder if others have had similar experiences but were unable to speak out publicly. My experience with NDAs, reported reviews and a cease-and-desist letter has led me to believe that transparency and honest feedback about dental care are critical, and I hope this helps others navigate their choices more confidently.
