I'd gone to a dentist recently who told me I needed FIVE crowns. The cost for that treatment plan was over $6k, and I left their office in complete shock (never having or needing a crown before). I went to Dr. Annalisa Heck for a second opinion. Dr. Heck told me I just needed old fillings replaced, and the treatment plan will cost me under $2k. I encourage anyone to a) get a second opinion always and b) see Dr. Heck! She is honest, and caring and kind and personable. I look forward to have my treatment plan done by her and I despise the dentist! I initially reached out to Smile Creations to get a second opinion on some dental work. They were so kind and attentive and during the appointment and actually suggested a different care plan than my prior dentist. The new plan was a healthier more cautious route as well as more cost effective. They have a "calming menu" where you can request a blanket, headphones, warm neck pillow, etc. for more comfort and dental anxiety which I think we all can agree that we all get! I had to look for a new dentist because the one I loved sold his practice. Dr. Heck and his entire practice crew are awesome! The dentist that bought my former dentist's practice said I needed 3 crowns. Her treatment plan for me was over $7000. Dr. Heck stated he takes a conservative approach to dentistry. He said there was no need to redo those 3 crowns as the decay is on the root surface I'm long in the tooth due to age, so the root is more exposed. Dr. Heck's treatment plan is only $3000. My sister-in-law, brother, and one of my friends are already making appointments with them. There are 2 Dr. Hecks in the practice as it's a husband and wife team. You will love them!! read more

Great initial experience. In total, I interacted w 3 staff members plus Dr. Matt. Everyone explained everything they would be doing before we started, asked about work, kids, etc. without being fake about it. Matt, the dentist, was so thorough- even asked about some red spots on my cheeks (happens when I get hot or nervous), and noted he could recommended a dermatologist if I wanted. Went into detail about things he saw during exam, explained them well. Note- Initial appointment is exactly that- pics, xrays, etc., no actual treatment occurs. When checking out, you're given a detailed list of recommended treatments, what insurance will pay, what you would be responsible then you decide what treatments you want and then schedule them. Seems pretty well organized so far! Treatment 1 today- teeth cleaning. I'll follow up this post afterwards. read more

I FOUND MY FOREVER DENTIST!! I've been going to another dentist for many years who recently retired and sold the practice. The new dentist recommended evasive work for some minor chipped front teeth. This is an outstanding dental practice. I'm totally dental-phobic, but all the staff made me feel okay. They're on time, compassionate, and accommodating. I had gum problems when I first came to them, but they got it fixed right up. I had to get one tooth extracted, and Smile Creations had an oral surgeon come to their office to take care of me, with excellent anesthesia.
