Dr. Heck told me I just needed old fillings replaced, and the treatment plan will cost me under $2k. I encourage anyone to a) get a second opinion always and b) see Dr. Heck! She is honest, and caring and kind and personable. I look forward to have my treatment plan done by her and I despise the dentist! Also, the office is comfortable and quiet which is the complete opposite of the other office I visited which was loud and chaotic.

The new plan was a healthier more cautious route as well as more cost effective. They have a "calming menu" where you can request a blanket, headphones, warm neck pillow, etc. for more comfort and dental anxiety which I think we all can agree that we all get! Our teeth look and feel great. Scheduling was very easy, even when we wanted "back to back" appointments together. Our differing prices were both a reflection of that they don't have a "one size fits all" approach to their patients, but also reflected an appropriate/fair scale in pricing relative to our needs. There was no "hard sell" on committing to, or scheduling, any of the additional work recommended. Just a simple printed quote we could reference in the future. The same for the "discount/club pricing" you would get for signing up with their office, which I declined, but my husband joined. Just the information made available quickly and clearly, and then you were free to move on. Everyone was SO friendly. I'm mad I didn't remember to write this review same day, so I could share specific names, but truly everyone was polite and pleasant to a degree that I can't imagine anyone working here isn't equally nice. After coming to this office for a few years I was up sold on so many things I didn't need, first being a mouth guard I never use (and surprise my teeth are fine though my dentist acted like my teeth were going to fall out without it) and countless fillings. The last year I had with them mid 2024 I believe I was quoted 1,600 dollars worth of work including a crown. I was devastated, but trusted them and scheduled with them. Something in my gut felt off about having another year of so much dental work when i religiously cleaned my teeth so I went for a second opinion. Turns out the second dentist didn't see any work I needed to get done. I was shocked to go from drilling countless spots in my mouth to no work needed. Now it's 01/06/2026 and I just went and got x rays again and told good job no extra work besides cleaning needed today at another dentist. I'm so glad I didn't go to grand oaks for a crown and multiple fillings I didn't need and trusted my gut. It's been years and my teeth are fine contrary to what this office said(they made it sound like my teeth were horrible and needed this work asap) Id never return to such a greedy and predatory dental office that's obviously only looking to make extra money and give you dental work you don't need. She is so kind and communicative, but you can tell she is an absolute fighter for solutions for you. She runs the financial role of the business and I could not be more impressed with her professionalism and experience with navigating insurance companies, Care credit, and a patient's priorities. I'm a hairdresser and deal with a wonderful and very affluent clientele. I felt like I looked cheap with messed up teeth. The consultation was incredible. Dr. Christy Tu is a perfectionist. It was such an educational and solution driven experience, that I followed all of her advice. I later found out she went to the USC school of dentistry. A top tier school for general and cosmetic dentistry. I didn't way my implants to look like chiclets. I wanted them to look real and natural. She nailed it. I couldn't be happier with the results! The staff has always been professional and friendly. Dr. Quick has always taken the time to answer all of my questions and I have never felt rushed in and out. I inherited bad teeth and remember having dental work as young as five years old. So, that being said, I tend to get anxiety when I know that the dental drill will be used. In all my years of dental work, I did not discover laughing gas until I was 37 years old when I was given the option to use it at Dr. Quick's office. This made a world of difference and totally alleviated my anxiety. For anxiety, his office also offers headphones, massage chairs, television, and I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting. I previously had a terrible experience going to another dental office in Austin, so I was very selective when finding another office in the area. After a few visits at Blue Sky, I can say that Dr. Rightmer and her assistant do a great job with making me feel comfortable and educated in regards to teeth health. The office is clean, nicely decorated, and the front staff is always kind and fun to talk to! It is also big bonus watching Netflix when getting a cleaning! I had some teeth sensitivity after getting a filling so Dr. Rightmer worked with me and we redid the filling and now I do not have any teeth sensitivity! Glad I can chew gum and floss without wincing of pain. It did take a few months to get me scheduled for my cleaning, but after I was scheduled I could easily get appointments. They are closed Friday-Sunday so you can count of Blue sky dental to be there Monday-Thursdays 8:30 am- 4:30 pm!
