I have gone here for years. Mostly because even though I have tried other dentists that accepted my insurance, it was always cheaper for some reason. I finally decided my peace of mind is worth not saving a hundred dollars. The staff here hardly says hello, doesn't make conversation with you, is rude when they are running late, and the dentist is rude when you question anything.The only thing it had going for it was the front desk clerk -Erin, who I heard has now left. I have been a client for about 4 years. They always schedule your appointment 6 month ahead and then they send a reminder before that. And you have an option to confirm it. Even i didn't confirm my appointment, they emailed me and they said they would charge 50$ fine. This is not how you treat your regular clients after years. Same experience as Seyfettin K. Client for approximately 4 years. Spent approximately over $1,500 out-of-pocket for dental work not covered under insurance. Last two procedures, I was waiting in the dental chair over 15 minutes the first visit, then 45 minutes the second visit. I was given an apology as a patient next door needed additional time. Now, I call at 8:00 a.m. to move my appointment as I'm out-of-town unexpectedly per my voice mail to their receptionist. I find out later that day, as I made a follow-up call to ensure they received my message, that I will be charged an additional $50.00 upon my next visit. Sorry, but we little people have lives and our time is of value too. Looking at these reviews, it seems their Customer Service is degrading and I experienced this, in my opinion, first hand. read more

I never thought I could like a dentist this much! Dr. Thompson and her staff are fantastic to work with. They are always friendly and helpful and have never made me wait past my appointment time. Getting in and out is a breeze! Dr. Thompson is incredibly personable and helpful when I have questions. After my first visit with her, I had to have a wisdom tooth removed and she was very helpful when I had questions and concerns post-surgery and had to push back another treatment because of it. Beautiful office located in the same plaza as Jack Allen's Kitchen past Bank of America on the 2nd floor of the building where Thai Spice is. Lovely people at the front desk. I was seen promptly after I arrived. Did not have the opportunity to indulge in Netflix like the other reviews, but my dental hygienist kept my company. She was so friendly, gentle, and meticulous. My teeth felt great after! I felt so guilty about eating lunch because I wanted my teeth to stay clean Dr. Thompson was also very professional with a friendly demeanor. I went there after meeting the staff at their open house. I work in the building next to them, and I was really impressed with how kind everyone was and how nice the office is. When I went in for a visit, everyone was was very nice, and I couldnt believe I was actually comfortable the entire time I was there. Dr. Thompson really has made the enviorment as relaxing as possible, which isnt what you think of at a Dentist's Office. She has some of the newer tools (atleast in my point of view) she was able to get detailed pictures of my teeth, and explained the processes I may go through, and also my interest in getting a new retainer, or invisilign. She was so kind, and her WHOLE STAFF is GREAT!! They communicate quickly and efficiently. Customer service seems to be a priority along with your comfort (the chairs are amazing). We are new to the area and wanted to try a dentist a little closer to our new home. The staff was friendly and beyond accommodating! I had gotten a babysitter to watch my 3 month old and the sitter cancelled on me the night before. So I brought my baby with me. He napped through the check up but woke up in the middle of my cleaning. The staff members were so helpful and made accommodations for my baby so that I could finish my cleaning. AMAZING! The hygienist had excellent "chair manner" and made my cleaning as smooth and easy as possible. The front desk Saw that there was some information missing from my insurance and they reached out to me immediately so I could get it fixed. Overall a great experience. read more

Dr. Thompson and her staff are the absolute best! I was a little nervous for my first cavity drilling and filling, being it was a top molar in the very back of my mouth, but Dr. Thompson and her assistant did an AMAZING JOB. They explained everything thoroughly, I was so comfortable the whole time, no pain whatsoever, and now my tooth looks and feels so great, my other teeth are jealous. I have another appointment next week for a cavity on the other side that I'm almost excited about. That's another great thing! Naomi the receptionist saw I needed two fillings, so she helped me schedule them for separate appointments. So knowledgeable and thoughtful! I was definitely one of those people nervous about seeing the dentist, having been burned in the past by practices who gave me quotes for unnecessary or super expensive work. Dr. Thompson gives you a real, honest assessment of your dental health and helps you determine the treatment plan that will work for you. Her practice even works with most insurances so there's no need to be worried that you can't afford treatment. I can't say enough good things. Im just going to throw it out there, I am not a fan of going to the Dentist. I don't know why just never have been! But I do not mind coming here. I feel welcomed here, the front desk staff is very friendly and so is the dental team. Dr. Thompson is very thorough and friendly. I have had my teeth cleaned here, some cavity's filled ( what can I see enjoy a cupcake here and there lol) and recently a wisdom tooth pulled so I felt comfortable writing a review. Dr. Thompson and her staff are great. She didn't judge me at all when I told her I don't always brush for two full minutes, and seemed impressed when I told her I floss every day. She explained very clearly what was wrong with one of my teeth and showed me pictures of the cracked tooth, and discussed the two treatment options, and let me choose the one I preferred. She also offers nitrous oxide at an affordable price, which is important to me because I get very tense when having my teeth drilled and I've had other dentists try to talk me out of it and charge quite a bit for it. What the other reviews say about the spa-like setting is true, it is by far the nicest doctor's office I've ever been in. read more

Everyone I've worked with at Thompson Dentistry has earned 5stars. Beginning with Naomi at the front desk- she quickly and thoroughly goes over bills and charges, insurance claims, plus she's so nice! She's always been pleasant with my requests to reschedule appointments. Dental assistant Emily is also so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Her demeanor is nothing but pleasant, and her work is professional. Both Dr. Doerfler and Dr. Thompson have been amazing. Dr. D filled in while Dr. Thompson was on maternity leave, and continues on Thursday's for now. There are many reasons worth using this team as your family dentist. I had an awful experience regarding a situation with not enough anesthetic at my previous dentist (10 years prior). Every quality about Thompson Dentistry builds trust and gives me confidence the same issue will not happen again. My experiences with Thompson Dentistry have been less than satisfactory. I normally do not write reviews, but after my most recent experience, I feel compelled. I should note that I am in the customer service industry and deal with high-level clients daily. Firstly, let me say that never did I feel like there was effort put forth into forming a doctor/client relationship. Dr. Thompson comes off as socially stiff and uninterested in learning about you or finding common grounds. I would like to make that known to the general public. I think I took great care in communicating effectively with the staff; that I do not understand the dental field. I know that I am not a dentist, but know that I have not had my concerns as a client (of a year) addressed appropriately, nor with poise or elegance. Sure, they have a nice location and facility. To my layman eyes, I would even say it is state-of-the-art. I will however, and arguably more importantly, say that their client services are entirely lacking. I don't feel the need to waste time explaining the background to my experiences as a whole, but trust me, if you want to have a dentist you feel is committed to serving you well and with class, this is not your place. I have had a reoccurring issue with a filling they performed, then fell out, was poorly corrected, and has resulted in over three months of discomfort resulting in non-use of one side of my mouth. The last straw was today. After being told by an assistant I should have a crown installed to fix the tooth, I wanted to explain my feelings of their inadequate treatment to the dentist directly. When Dr. Andrew Doerfler (substitute staff for Dr. Thompson as she is on maternity leave) entered the room he stated his staff had briefed him of my issue. Instead of addressing me with any professionalism, he chose to speak over me almost belligerently, repeating the phrase "tell me something new today!" What a complete and total jerk and hothead he was! I politely and promptly requested that they send my dental records to my email, so I can bring them to another local and professional dentist. My only regrets are continuing with treatment from this office for as long as I have, and not writing a review sooner. Lesson learned. read more

I have seen Dr. Thompson several times and they have all been wonderful. Thompson Dentistry provides a comfortable atmosphere that sets me at ease the moment I walk into their office. I'm always welcomed by their friendly receptionist and invited to relax on their comfortable couches with a cup of tea provided in the reception area. Dr. Thompson's assistant is also always sure to greet me with a smile and engages me in a warm, friendly conversation while she preps me for my exam.
