The thing that was unique to Mr. Kim's offering was that instead of buying a tuxedo I might wear just for one occasion, he was able to temporarily sew a layer of satin on top of my suit jacket lapels and take it off after my wedding. When it came time to pin the pants for hemming, I had to stand on a narrow stool in the tiny store with the shades only partially pulled down -- anyone walking by could've seen me. Not great. The employee wrote up the order (I photographed it as my receipt), I paid $97 total, and was told one week, back the following Friday, no problem. When I showed up, she looked at me like she'd never seen me before. Even after I reminded her, she was blank, so I pulled up the photo of the order. Then she claimed I'd already picked up everything except the dress -- not true. She climbed onto the stool, then onto a huge pile of clothing (shoes off, but still not reassuring when it's other people's belongings) and dug around until she found 3 of my pairs of pants. Then told me her boss had decided the dress needed $40 of work, not the $20 quoted. I wasn't paying more to leave with half my order missing. She called her boss, who said she'd be in 2 hours -- I couldn't wait. They promised to call when she arrived. Nobody called. Next morning I called just after 9 (they supposedly open at 8), she said 10 minutes, I said I'd meet her. My drive was 25 minutes and the shop was still closed when I got there -- waited another 15. She opened up, handed me one missing pair of pants, and insisted I'd already picked up the rest. I wasn't having it. She climbed the pile again and eventually found my last 3 pairs. She did refund the $20 upcharge on the dress -- would've been nice if she'd just honored the quote instead of making me fight for my own clothes across two visits. Can't recommend.
