The actual sewing job they did was worth five stars, but the tailor convinced me that my pants that were being shortened also needed tapering, which made the pants unwearable. What were originally relaxed fit pants with very slight tapering became reminiscent of skinny jeans. Finding a tailor is hard. read more

David is professional and friendly. I was a bridesmaids for my best friends wedding this summer. She picked out the gown from amazon. I was not expecting the perfect fit but I was happy I was saving some money. The gowns mermaid fit was extremely unflattering because it was to many inches long for my size. I stopped during the week he was moving to a new shop. He was very busy but I am thankful he was able to get my dress altered . The service was faster than I expected. He was easy to communicate with me through text and vm. I was so busy I arranged someone else to pick up the dress. My dress was altered in length and that made the whole fit look perfectly. David doesn't just do clothing alterations, but can also do oddball projects like mine, which was taking several rolls of Coolaroo sail shades and making six shade panels with pole pockets for a slide-wire canopy setup. (see photos) Since this was his first time taking on such a project, he really took the time to understand the specs and design. He even made a miniature mock-up and told me he had to crunch the numbers to figure out how to get the bellows of the shade to hang down at a certain length. When I got the final product and installed it, I was VERY impressed with the meticulous detail and quality in the stitching and how all the pieces were the same. The polyethylene material is thick and he was able to work with it. Without David's exacting hands, I wouldn't have been able to realize the chill-out backyard space I've been aiming for. First off, I know nothing about suits. I don't like to wear them, I own a few that I wear when I absolutely have to, and I have zero idea what goes into altering them. But my brother was getting married and sent me an off-the-rack groomsman suit that needed some alterations. David responded super quickly thru Yelp when I had some questions before bringing it by. And then when I went to the shop a few days later, I found the entire process to be just as quick. Their customer service is on another level, price is SUPER AFFORDABLE and to top it all off, the work Juan did was remarkable. I found them in a desperate search at 7pm after realizing most shops were closed. Juan said they'd be able to fix it in LESS THAN 24 HOURS even though they were supposed to be closed the next day! At one point David completely took apart and reconstructed an All Saints dress that I got at a sample sale and made it fit beautifully. The latest project I roped them onto was making me a pair of curtains. So many details I didn't even think of went into customizing them and making them match up perfectly. Today was my third time that I go to this location and I have never had problem with the employees, but today I went to adjust my two pants I was in a little hurry so I asked the guy who work there how much will you charge me for two pants and he told me $10dlrs we agreed that it was ready in 30 minutes . When I when for picking up, the guy whom I talked to was gone and the other employee gave my pants back and saying is gonna be 20dlrs because we did it very fast. They were very late to the store at times (leaving myself and other customers waiting outside), didn't have my garment finished at the time they promised, AND they ruined my garment beyond repair... I took it to another tailor to get fixed and I was met with laughter at the poor job (it's unfixable by the way). When I requested a refund they adamantly refused and were very rude about it. When I moved back to DTLA and realized I was in need of a tailor again, and I just so happened to find a shop with the same name on Yelp.
