Brought 5 pairs of chinos here and every single one of them is messed up. They always cut the hem allowance uneven / too short and the fold prints through the cuff (see pic). Other issues include leaving tears in brand new pants (see pics) and not caring enough to stitch right. They'll fix the tears and redo the hems if you ask, but 50% of the redos are still messed up. Hems are $30/$40 each but they still don't care enough to take the time to do it right. I truly regret bringing my clothes here. Save your money. Go somewhere else. read more

I bought my wedding dress from Anthropologie and my stylist had recommended MH Tailoring. I had a number of things I wanted to change including making custom sleeves using some extra material from the dress. They are a small family owned business and took such great care of me throughout the entire process. I had a total of 3 fittings to make sure everything was PERFECT before I took home my dress. What a find! Had a run in a very expensive polo and took it Robert at Expert Reweaving. Parking is tough so just park on a residential street through the alley and walk a block. The building he is in is like walking back in time. Terrazzo and wood paneled walls. I liked it! Robert actually fixed my shirt on the spot because it was pretty small. That was awesome! I've been coming to this shop for dress alterations for a while. The owners are always super professional and accommodating, and handle my nicer clothing pieces with utmost care. The last time I was here, I brought in a pair of heavy knit slacks to repair a rip in the crotch area and the owner was happy to repair it on the spot, enabling me to bring it home the same day AND FREE OF CHARGE. Incredible customer service. I had an emergency that required MH to quickly adjust two tuxedo jackets, pants, and a tuxedo shirt for my wedding. The owners immediately welcomed me in and took their time to ensure they were pinning everything correctly despite being incredibly busy with only a few minutes left before closing. When I returned to pick up the pieces, there was one final adjustment needed, and their son who runs the BH location happened to be there and promised it would be completed in 24 hours. Sure enough, I just picked up my last piece and everything is perfect. MH just made a new regular customer! read more

I have a pair of vintage Issey Miyake linen trousers that snagged on a chair when I sat on it. It created a pretty ugly snag - the kind where a hole + some loose threads were dangling and the material was cinched. I was pretty sad, but had faith in the craftsmanship of those who truly know how to reweave - and Robert is definitely of that ilk. The hole was completely repaired, like nothing ever happened. A true art form, and with clothing becoming more disposable, we have to appreciate what this man does in this era! Highly, highly recommended. An excellent experience. I wish I had taken before and after shots, but I had a really nice, designer suit jacket that I guess I somehow caught on a nail near the shoulder and back. A hole about the size of a dime was there and I was really bummed but figured I would try to find a re-weaving expert. It was right there in the name! Robert is such a nice guy and told me it would be $80 and up to three weeks for the repair. About a week and a half later, I got a call that it was ready! Outstanding job! You can see it if it's pointed out but I knew it was there and it took me some time. I can get some more wear out of a suit that I'd only gotten to wear a handful of times before the mishap, so I am delighted to have that opportunity. HIGHLY recommend Robert if you need something done. He can do all different types of repairs on all different types of materials. Cash or check only. read more

The best -- I was sure the moth holes in a brand-new sweater were 1) too much for my limited skills and 2) probably not worth fixing. But nope! Robert made my sweater good as new! He will also tell you if fixing something would cost more than replacing (that is very, very welcome) but if it's worth salvaging he does amazing work and gives you an estimate up front. Robert deserves ALL THE STARS! My husband burned a hole in his very expensive Armani suit with a cigarette... I took it to many different alteration people who warned me that this could not be repaired in an unnoticeable fashion. By chance someone referred me to Robert and I am so glad because he works MAGIC! Robert is amazing! He saved a $500 pair of Canali pants from being ruined! He charged me $80 to reweave a 1 inch tear not on a seam made by my dogs nail when she jumped on me. It LOOKS AMAZING! He also fixed a small moth hole in another pair of pants for $50! I tipped him a little because the work blew me away! I am a pretty picky person to be saying that. I drove all the way from Palmdale hoping and praying he was a reweaving miracle worker. He is a reweaving GOD! I cant find where the little hole was and the 1 inch tear no one will ever know it was there! I also want to throw in that when I was there a man brought in an older sweater with 2 snags in it. We were all ty walking about the Dodgers and before you know it Robert handed the sweater back to the man! He got the snags out in less than 5 minutes! He charged the man a whopping $0. I was very upset to find a couple moth holes on the lapel of my expensive wool suit jacket, but Yelp led me to Expert Reweaving, and Robert at Expert Reweaving saved my suit jacket and saved the day! He quoted two weeks turnaround time, and that's how long it took, but boy was it worth the wait. The jacket looks as good as new! There is no sign of the holes and no trace of the reweaving work done to the jacket. And I am especially impressed by and grateful for the care Robert took in pressing the lapel back to its original form (as I am sure the lapel was a tricky spot to reweave). I can't thank him enough for his exceptional work. He also reweaved a hole in my cashmere sweater, with the same seamless result.
