Empty lobby

While I wait here in an empty lobby I am asked to step away from the area that is used to check in because I might cause people to feel uncomfortable when it comes time to check in. I ask the lady if their is any way I can be seen a little early being that obviously no one is waiting to be seen and I am a little early and all I need is to drop off a sample. She tells me I have to wait because people might walk in any minute to their appointment and it would not be fair to make them wait. Mind you I have been waiting 30 minutes. They wonder why people dislike places like this well this is why. I always say why must you hate your life so much that you create such a miserable environment

It's never fun going to have someone stick needles in you to get blood, however over the years there are a few places that I preferred to go to. Over the last few years, this is the Lab I've chosen as it usually has a low line if you're a walk-in. You can however go online and make appointments and they usually get you in pretty quick. The ladies are always friendly. Though today the girl with me Judy was very professional and nice, however one of the other technicians are nurses or whatever they are was just gabbing and gossiping about her daughter the whole time. I mean I understand it's a workplace, however there are clients that are paying to be here, and may not want to hear about Teenage girls choice of music changing and birthday parties and whatever social issues her daughter is having. It's not horrible, however maybe don't force that information on clients? Other than that, very nice very clean very professional. I will continue to use this place even though it's a bit of a drive out of my way.

The unwelcoming waiting area. Picture taken 30 minutes before posted closing hour, but staff will tell you they're closed anyway.

I find myself having to visit Quest locations quite often, and this is the only location that never seems to want to help. Sadly, it's the closest to me so I find myself having to use this location from time to time. Today, I was a walk-in at approximately 3:25 (check the cameras, Quest). As is common with this location, the lights and TV are off. No one is up front and no one ever greets you or even acknowledges you're there. It always feels like they want to give the impression that they're closed. Anyway, I signed in at the kiosk and the touch-screen gave a notice that my wait time was approximately 6 minutes. Easy peasy. Now it's 3:39 and Judi comes up front and asks me for my appointment confirmation. No greeting, just obvious irritation that I was there. I replied that I was a walk-in. Judi then tells me that their policy is to not allow walk-ins after 3:30 and I'll need to come back next week. I was very confused because not only is this "policy" not visible on their website, front door, or their touch-screen kiosk, I was also signed in before 3:30. (Again, check the cameras, Quest). When I mentioned this policy not being listed anywhere, Judi replied "I hear that a lot". When I then told Judi that I was signed in and waiting prior to 3:30, she shook her head and said she came up front at 3:37 and no one was there. I was right there, in front of the check in desk in PLENTY of time. Judi's not-so-subtle accusation that I was lying about my arrival time was outrageous. I encouraged her to check the time on the kiosk to see when I signed in, but she refused and told me "We're closed". The time at this point was about 3:40. My lab work could have been easily done by now. This is not okay, Quest. I understand how busy your staff is (how busy we ALL are) but this exceptionally poor treatment and refusal to help by Judi is unacceptable. I will abide by policies, but this seems arbitrary. Clearly Judi was ready to start her weekend early and nothing was going to stop that.

One rang the bell and the lady just kept telling them to use the kiosk, and when they said they were trying she kept saying use the kiosk, use the kiosk, use the kiosk. The person gave up and left. The second person needed help and after watching that, I helped. I was able to help them get their license scanned and checked in. This person was not a English first language, the lack of help was appalling to me. Then the billing. I have visited several times and not showing payments posted. I called and asked for a statement of account. Any provider should be able to provide this, it is a list of services and payments. I was told I would be sent the statement, what I received was individual copies of bills. I noticed a payment was not posted, I called back and the person, says, "there is another bill". (Why do I not have it, I thought) I said I requested a full statement of my account. She said, "we don't do that, we can only send copies of individual bills" so I asked again to have a copy of every single bill sent so I can reconcile to make sure my payments are posted. I am now waiting for that, but I will not use Quest ever again. It is ridiculous that they can't print one statement for me with everything and they way they treated people in person was degrading. Go elsewhere if you can.

Quality/Quantity - My annual physical blood work. New health benefits, new providers…read more Easy online appointments. Self service kiosk check in. Decent size lobby. In and out in 2 minutes! Time to reward myself, going to Wheatberry Baking Company; see other reviews. Atmosphere - Small location. Plenty of parking. Open 5 days a week, Mondays to Fridays from 6:30am to 3pm. Again, I think I was the first customer at 9am?!?! Service - Mostly self service. Again, online appointment, self service kiosk. Online results. Slight issue with the kiosk for me and the lady behind me. Nothing a restart could not solve. On time appointment. I was the first customer I guess. :) Daisy was very professional and knowledgeable. She even shared, due to their increase in business, they will probably get a second self service kiosk. Again, I was out of there in approximately 2 minutes. Walk-ins are welcomed, but I highly recommend making appointments. They had 10 appointments from 9am to 10am. If you do walk in , I suggest coming in the afternoon as it is a lesser demand due to fasting. Price - Insurance, will see if I get a bill in the mail, lol. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1967 and your international presence. Great culture with your 5 C's - Customer First, Care, Collaboration, Continuous Improvement, and Curiosity,
