Nice new digs for this lab that used to be located at 10 Congress St. However, and this is a big however, I don't recommend this facility. It is crowded and understaffed. The phlebotomist that I was assigned didn't greet me, but said, "Do you know a good place in town where I can get my oil changed?" I know my veins well, and I told her not to try a specific vein, it never works. She ignored me, and stuck me anyway. I showed her a vein that works, and she refused to try opting to go in through my hand. It was painful and didn't have to be. Then she adopted an attitude, sticking the tubes right into my face, right on my nose! She asked me to confirm my name on the tubes. I pushed the tubes away from my face and complied with her request. I have my blood drawn frequently, and i felt she was either inexperienced or unsuited for the job or both. read more

I can't say I'm a fan of having to ever go to Quest Diagnostics as I hate needles and blood tests but since I had no choice, I was glad I chose this location. I was able to make an appointment online and it was a super easy choice to choose the Bellefontaine location because it was the only one that had appointments before 8:30am available. The actual clinic was easy to find and was spacious and clean, which I find super important after seeing some other ones that weren't so nice. I was seen immediately (didn't even have to sit down in the waiting room at all) and was done in 6 minutes! Now that is efficient and I was just super grateful they didn't have to drag out my misery of having blood drawn from my arm. LOL. The gentleman who assisted me was super nice and tried to make conversation with me to ease my nerves. The best part of it was that he did an excellent job and there was absolutely no bruising on my arm at all and it barely hurt. I was pleasantly surprised. Needless to say, this was one of the better experiences I've had at one of these clinics. I will choose this location next time I ever need lab tests done. Parking: garage across the street. $0.80 for the first 20 minutes. read more

The staff is not very friendly, and a "I don't give a shit" attitude. They sit around shooting the shit about partying and their drinking habits when they should be working and getting shit done. They told us that it would be about an hour wait, so we sat outside for 10 minutes. We waited around for over an hour before realizing they called our name within 10 minutes of signing in and then telling us we have to go to the back of the line and start the wait all over. WTF?! That's crap!! This policy sucks! Sure, it's my fault for missing the name call, but back of the line??? Really! Shitty policy. The lady who worked the front said she called our name 3 times... BULLSHIT. She only called it once. It was the name above ours that was called 3 times... JACKASS! read more

Absolutely, unequivocally the worst lab I've ever been to. The staff is extremely rude, disorganized and overwhelmed. There are many better options, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. read more

Not the greatest service from the staff in my opinion. I understand that there are procedures but be more polite when dealing with patients

I had an appointment today and was in and out of there relatively fast. Esmeralda was my phlebotomist and she made me feel very comfortable. She was very personable and we chatted about our children. They except walk in's but I'd recommend setting up an appointment on their easy to use website because a lot I walk in's come in this location. read more

They did a good job drawing blood from a one year old baby. If you have a baby, ask Monica. She is skillful. It took her 10-15 seconds to find the baby's vein. read more

This lab has messed up my billing so many times. They have cost me hundreds of dollars and are impossible to deal with if you try to call customer service to sort out any kind of problem. They resolve nothing. I won't use this lab or any Quest lab anymore. Mistakes have happened more than once. If they are this careless with basic billing and coding, what else are they being careless with? Don't take the risk. Go to a lab that is responsible, consistent, cares about patients and does their job competently, and that's not Quest. read more

Model of inefficiency. I'm currently waiting in their office for a follow up urinalysis test. Which means I just need to pee in a cup. My doctor said no appointment was necessary because they put my order in. So I expected to walk in, put in my name, and pee in a cup. But no! I have to wait before everyone else who needs blood drawn before they actually get to me. So 40 minutes later, I am still waiting to get a cup to pee in. I guess they don't realize that if they separated the people into categories according what needs to be done, they'd probably get through the people faster. There's a guy who walked in and had to drop off a specimen...guess what? He has to wait too. Guy at the front desk told him he should have made an appointment. Seriously, an appointment to drop something off? That's ridiculously stupid. read more

This lab actually pretty nice compared to some other Quest facility. Parking is across the street and this lab open on Saturday. I usually just walked in but they do have appointments which makes it faster. My doc always e script the lab requisition and they got it right. The lab tech usually very gentle although one time I was left with bruises which I'm not sure what caused it, might be my platelet count was whacked. Wait period is acceptable and usually I got a bill later which I can pay through their website. read more

My daughter had an appt at 10:15 . I got there at 10:05 and was told by the unfriendly receptionist they don't keep ins info. So went back home to get ins card. Returned at 10:27 and the receptionist with attitude said I had to sign her in again and she was now on the wall in list since they only honor appts if less than 10 mins late. When I asked her her name she evaded the question and assured me my daughter had only one person ahead of her. Her attitude changed real quick when I asked for her name. Why do people have to be so rude and unfriendly. I totally understand they have policies to abide with, but the way you deliver them to your patients is very important! NEVER COME HERE. I came here for a series of 6 blood tests. After I checked in, I was given a receipt and noticed that 3 of the orders were for the wrong tests - the codes on the receipt did not match the codes on my referral. Fortunately I pointed this out to the phlebotomist before she started drawing blood, but then she accused me of not knowing what I was talking about. I insisted that she double-check the order, and they were indeed wrong. The front desk keyed in the order incorrectly. It took about 20 minutes to fix, after which I insisted on double checking the final tests that were going to be performed. The nurse started getting angry with me, asking why I need to check, but eventually let me see the orders so I could make sure they were right. After gave the OK, everything went fine until the phlebotomist removed the tourniquet too early, making the last vial take an entire, painful 2 minutes to fill. WHEN SHE REMOVED THE NEEDLE, SHE PULLED IT OUT NEARLY SIDEWAYS, SCRAPING THE INSIDE OF MY VEIN AND TEARING MY SKIN. When I gasped, she asked, "Oh, does that hurt?" in a sarcastic tone and handed me a cotton ball. WHAT THE F***? I AM STILL BLEEDING PROFUSELY 8 HOURS LATER. I have never had a blood draw go like this. You don't want one like this either. read more

I am a post-transplant patient from Colorado who has to get regular monthly labs. Quest has a standing order, since I spend half the year in Pasadena. This office routinely cannot find my labs and cannot locate faxes. In the midst of their incompetence, they are rude and totally discourteous with me, assuming everything must be my fault (it's not). I always leave here feeling like a criminal! Recently I went in on a Thursday to make sure my orders were in the computer--they assured me they were, repeating the doctor and the order. On my Friday morning labs, they could not find them. Again. A terribly run office that needs a tutorial in competence, courtesy, and service. No please, thank you, or I'm sorry here. Ugh. read more

I don't know if I've ever really left a review in my life, but I left Quest crying (which is hard to do). The guy at the front desk was SO nice and I really appreciate him. But the tech that took my blood was a middle aged woman with an accent (maybe Russian?) and she was very mean to me. She couldn't draw my blood and blamed me for not drinking enough water (even though I forced myself to drink over 60 oz before coming in). And then blamed me for using the restroom before I came in, as if that could rapidly dehydrate me again. I also asked if I would be able to document the experience (I'm a full time content creator and I'm making a video about my health journey) and she very rudely said absolutely NOT, it was against the rules and I should've seen the signs about it coming in. Which is totally fine, I understand. But it became aggressive when she asked "you didn't take any photos or videos in the lobby did you?!". I rarely cry and I felt so bad trying to fight off my tears as she barked orders at me, and blamed me for her mistakes. I would hope that someone working in the medical field would have empathy and compassion for patients, especially as they deal with scary health concerns. PS, the other arm drew blood quickly meaning I was not dehydrated. But the guy at the front desk is a gem and I appreciate him making me feel welcome as I arrived. read more

First time here and the experience was okay. Parking is definitely confusing. I parked at a lot I wasn't supposed to park in but I didn't want to pay $4-$5 at the structure. You check in on these iPads that are pretty simple to use. Staff was alright. There's a male at the front who was friendly. They have a TV that shows how much longer you need to wait before they call you in which was convenient. Just some advice, don't get the blonde older phlebotomist with the accent. She is very rude and has a bad attitude. She poked me once and nothing came out because it was a tiny vein. She gave up right away and made me wait again for somebody else to try. She didn't even apologize and was straight up moody. Overall I think the experience and my review would have been better if I didn't get her. But yeah I wish I had gone to a different location in Pasadena instead of this one. read more

Walk in patient... For 3hr glucose test on a Saturday morning. Good service, I arrived when there were a few people already in but the service was still fast and easy. Location is clean, the staff I came across were bilingual and courteous which I always appreciate. :) previous to this I did have a negative experience where I made an appointment maybe a year ago or so and I was not attended because "they couldn't find my order." Needless to say I was scared to come back but this experience was much more pleasant and I look forward to coming here as needed... :) read more

Unfortunately I've visited a lot of Quest offices and this was by far the worst. My phlebotomist didn't know how to enter my information in the computer. I had a time sensitive blood test that was drawn late due to the lack of computer experience. I couldn't pay my copay because of "computer issues". I received a call from my phlebotomist 1.5 hrs after I'd left and she said she didn't draw all of my labs and I needed to come back. She needed 2-3 more vials of blood. In addition to all of this, the actual stick was extremely painful and remains painful hours after my blood draw. I have some of the easiest veins to draw blood from. I will not be returning to this location in the future. read more

This Quest office is really a mess...disorganized, not very professional, and staffing that I have found sub-par - one particular phlebotomist I've had twice and could not find a vein to save herself. They also do not pay any attention to those of us who make appointments, so you have to make sure and announce yourself...they take the walk ins first, so beware. I've been to Quest in downtown LA...amazing! read more

I made an appt. online for my Son, and arrived 15 mins. before and my son was called in before his appt. time and was out in no time, it does help help now that he's a big boy now and we didn't have to hold him down for his blood work. read more

I went to the new location at 960 Green, Pasadena and I was very pleased. Who wants to get lab work done, really. I went in as they opened, they saw me with no appointment right away, the nurse was quick efficient and gentle. There is nothing worse than being poked multiple times. I wasn't rushed but I was in and out very quickly. Additionally they moved from the second floor at their previous location to the first floor here. After a long fast no one wants to do stairs. read more

Terrible service. They have great difficulty processing anything out of state; seems like they don't know what they're doing. My nurse has had to re-send forms many times over the past six months, and even then had to re-check with them by phone as they professed never to have gotten them (they were there...). Not one person on the staff has ever smiled or been pleasant to me. They all seem to hate their jobs imo. This morning, I had an appointment but still had to wait 40 minutes. read more

The waiting area is nice and clean, and the staff members are nice enough. My first experience was fine, but I just went again today, and the health practitioner hit a nerve when she drew blood! I've had my blood drawn many times before, but this is the first time this has ever happened. I felt a shock shoot through my arm and yelled "ouch!" The lady didn't say anything and seemed to think that I was just overreacting from the needle. If drawing people's blood is ones full-time job, I feel that they should be better at communicating with the patient and also be better at drawing blood! read more

I have been here twice, both times without appointments. Both times I was the only person in the waiting room, and I was in and out within 5 minutes, arriving between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. Just note that they close at five! I highly recommend this location if you're going to be in between 4:00 and 5:00 pm, but have no idea how crowded it might get at other points during the day. If possible, make an appointment online. Pros: - Very clean and updated facilities - VERY quick and efficient service - Very friendly staff - Open at 6:30 am Cons: - Limited street parking, so you'll likely have to pay to park in the garage across the street Don't forget to bring your insurance card! read more

I've been here twice for my kids. Both experiences were good. Last visit my daughter needed bloodwork and we didn't have an appointment so we came in at opening time. It was a slow day so we got right in within 15 minutes. Sima was professional and polite. She wore gloves and double checked name and DOB twice. The draw was fast and successful at first try. The waiting room and office were clean. Parking is pretty convenient. Right across the street. First 15 minutes free. I paid with credit card at the exit gate. There is a pay kiosk in the parking garage that I think takes cash. There is a TV in the waiting room which can be annoying if you want to read or surf the web while you wait, but that is standard for doctors offices these days. The sign in system is an iPad thing. read more

Really??? You LOST my newborn baby's blood and paperwork? The blood he screamed over losing after you basically made a way-too-deep cut into his heel to draw it out from? The cut that you said could have the cotton removed from when we got home, only to find it bled for many more hours beyond that. (Maybe it wouldn't have done that if the cut wasn't so big! You could seriously see how unnecessarily wide and deep it was for just squeezing out drops of blood.) And now you want me to take my baby back so you can do it all over again instead of making an effort to find it??? Who the heck loses a patient's blood sample??? Never ever going there again, even if it's conveniently located right next to the doctor's office. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. *There's more: A person from the office just called me, who - to be honest - sounded very kind and apologetic. But her reason for calling was "just to see if the pediatrician had asked us to come in to Quest Diagnostics a second time"... I have a feeling she was asking so she wouldn't have to call the pediatrician's office and fess up to what happened... If we were going to come in again anyway - which in case you haven't figured out yet, we are NOT - they'd prob. just wait and take another sample of blood and be able to lighten up the mess of losing the first sample. Nice try, but it ain't happening. E.V.E.R. read more

I walked in around 9am with no appointment. Place was empty except 5-6 employees at front desk chatting. Barely acknowledged my presence. One lady looked up & asked for my ins. cards & id. Within a few minutes, I was called in for blood draw. Told lady It was usually hard to find a good vein in my arm. She did not respond & used the regular needle, instead of the butterfly, which hurt the entire time for 4 vials. Customer Service & polite conversation was non-existent. I got home & took off bandage & saw a large bruise. However because I was only there for no more than 30 minutes, I rate the visit 3 stars. read more

I didn't want to give 2 star for this lab because majority of the lab assistants are great and my doctor sends me here to do all my lab works. I come here at least once every two months. Because of my health problems I come here a lot. The only problem I have here is the front desk help by the name of Mirriam. She is rude, very dismissive and NOT helpful at all. Doesn't realized she's dealing with patients that are sick. I'll give her an "F" on customer/patient relations. read more

I needed some blood work done and Quest is the most popular lab in town, so off I went. The testing I required wasn't standard. I had a lab screw up part of this test in the past and I had to have blood drawn a second time. I wasn't excited about repeating that screw up, so I called first to confirm they could perform the tests. I called and was greeted by an answering machine. I found out these guys actually don't have a live receptionist answering the phone. Ever. Seriously? I ended up leaving a message with my info and asked for a call back. I also scheduled an appointment for two days later online. Twenty four hours later I had no call back. I faxed them my lab sheet and called again requesting they return my call. No call back. The morning of my appointment I had still not heard from Quest. I decided to show up for the appointment and the tech behind the desk said they could perform the tests. No problem. I get my blood drawn and the tech says they'll get the results to my doctor in a week. A week passes and I call my doctor. The doctor has received some, but not all of my test results. I call Quest and leave a message. I get no reply. After a few more days I called my doctor again to see if he's received the missing tests. Nope. I call Quest again and leave another message. I get no reply. After two and a half weeks, my doctor finally received the final test results. A week and a half after Quest promised to deliver them. Quest never called me back. Quest is horrible. Avoid them if you value your sanity. The whole experience was extremely frustrating. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE. This lab is listed as being able to do a pediatric draw. Well, I wouldn't know what kind of skills they have at actually drawing blood because we bolted out of there. My almost 5 year old daughter walked in feeling brave, and the complete lack of bedside manner by ALL of the staff there made my job of convincing her it would be ok, nearly impossible. The phlebotomist who called us in to perform the draw didn't even look at my daughter or talk to her, let alone smile, she just took my daughters arm and tied the elastic tightly around it - understandably my daughter got scared and started crying that she didn't want to do it. The only thing the phlebotomist said was "you have to take her into the waiting room" while I was trying to console her. So we went into the waiting room and my daughter mustered up her courage again (and I bribed her with promises of candy and toys), and we went in again and the exact same thing happened. So the phlebotomist said "either you have to hold her arm down or I will get someone else to, I don't want to get hurt here". I said I didn't want to force her, but if there was someone else who could help let's get them in. Then a male phlebotomist came in and for a second I thought he was ok with kids but he was just as rude and insensitive as the woman and in fact more insistent on their "safety" issue. The only thing my daughter was going was crying on my lap! Neither of them once acknowledged my daughter as a human, let alone a 4 year old child. I was fuming when I left and told them they could all use a lesson in bedside manner. I thank god that I didn't let them poke her with the needle, because it surely would have resulted in a traumatic experience. I've heard good things about Glendale now since I've been asking around and hope to have a much better experience there. read more

Expect long miserable waits here, and they don't seem to take people in the order they come in. The front desk staff is the worst!!!!!

I've been force to go here now since the insurance won't cover Labcorp anymore. I must say I'm not pleased. First of all the wait is always forever even when no one is in the waiting room. Then this last time we went they actually allowed someone to make an appointment when they got there within the next 10 mins. How can they allow people to make appointments literally in the waiting room so they don't have to wait but 10 minutes to be seen. So another person jumped in front of us. This kind of thing wouldn't happen at Labcorp. The system they have at Quest is no good. I understand that people make appointments but like other places they still work in the walks ins and the appointments so that it's not such a bad wait time for the walk ins. Then as I was standing there waiting to speak to the lady she tells 2 other people that got there way after us it will be 30-40 mins then the next one 45-to an hour. We had been there already for over 30 minutes and they still had not called us to get the paperwork. I will be calling my insurance to go back to Labcorp if possible. This was simply ridiculous and just very unprofessional. This is not the first time I went to this Pasadena facility and the people there are just very unprofessional and down right rude. Very rude. They hardly try to be friendly. Very bad attitude and body language. Conceited when you ask them any question.

Clean facility. Check in lady was nice. Too bad I didn't catch her name. My phlebotomist, Angela, was great! She makes sure to have you confirm that your info is correct on the viles. Asks you if you are doing ok during the blood draw. She's fast and efficient and had no problem finding a vein on the first poke. I barely felt the poke and she took I think 6 viles. After making an appintment a week ahead of time, We were turned away upon arrival that they don't perform **** blood test on the weekend. The staff was rude and insisted that we should have known. When I asked them why the online appointment page didn't warn patients that certain blood test were not done on weekends. The staff responded with rudeness that we should have known and that "everyone knows that we don't do it on weekends". When we called the facility to make an appointment, the automated system specified that the patient should schedule am appointment through the online appointment system, however. The online system doesn't say that certain tests are not performed on the weekend. Therefore there is no way for a reasonable individual to know. Another patient ahead of me was turned away for the same reason. It seems to happen a lot. And the staff expects us to know that. When I asked the front desk guy with the bold head, he said "you should have known." And rudely replied " so you wanna do the other tests or not!!" I had an appointment today and it exceeded my expectations. After reading some of these reviews I was worried, because I had a huge order from my doc. I had 10tubes to draw and she made sure I was comfortable the whole time, she double checked all labels, corrected misspellings, and was just a wonderful lady.
