I had trauma from redcross.. they kept poking my veins and gave me biggest bruise. Labcorp made the blood draw run smoothly. My stars are for the male phlebotimist on friday. (5stars) The male phlebotimist at labcorp was amazing he talked to distracted me from the 6 vials of blood that had to be drawn. Definitely made it less scary. It didnt hurt too much when i got poked either. After 12 hrs, i have 0 bruising. Not even the slightest purple mark. Amazing! He also told me its okay to drink water and black coffee. I thought i couldnt drink or eat anything at all. But i will know for next time so im not dehydrated. I wished i caught his name. This is in the basement. I didnt have an appointment and came in around 12:30 to do blood work. They have kiosks where you check in. There were about 4 or 5 people ahead of me. I was called and the front desk gave me a cup and said you can do it now while you wait. Not knowing what she was talking about.. I told her i didnt think i could poop atm but it was just a urine sample. Bathroom didnt have much towels or toilet paper but at least they had them. After i waited about 20 minutes to get my blood drawn. (-1 star cause i was confused but my brain mightve been off) I couldnt find out where the basement parking was but i was probably on the wrong side. I went on Tuesday, they told me i will be seen, then another worker told me that I actually will not be seen after waiting another hour. 4 hours waiting for nothing. The quality of their service is NOT up to standard. Other locations are way better than this specific Labcorp. They do blood work and drug test, cool i guess. Then after lunch I checked again and they had opened up some appts for today so I took one. The person who checked me in and the phlebotomist were both friendly and fast. The phlebotomist said that they were dealing with a lot this morning because of closed locations, computer issues, and understaffing at other locations. Literally the worst customer service i've ever experienced. Nancy front desk lady sucks. Has a nasty attitude, restarts the waiting list, talks to you like trash. No matter how long you're waiting, if the system crashes she'll make a brand new list and have everyone who was already waiting sent home. Who looks forward to blood lab test ESPECIALLY when you need to fast I was a walk in for lab work, showed up at 6:15 lab opens at 6:30. They opened promptly. They have kiosk to facilitate more people checking in. I found it easy to navigate kiosk and I'm a SENIOR and I figured it out no problem. So not sure why some people have issues Did have to wait over 30 mins but expected to since I didn't have appointment. Once I was called by phlebotomist Arlene, she was very pleasant, professional and when blood was drawn was pretty pain free. Glad they expanded waiting area with chairs, so no longer had to wait in hallway as before. So they ARE listening and accommodating their patients needs. read more

Had an appointment but left because of how rude the girl at the front desk was. Made a 9:45am appointment on 1/3/26. I was (am always) VERY nervous to have my blood drawn because I often pass out. It took me 2 months to build up the courage to finally make an appointment at labcorp after my Dr ordered bloodwork. My husband came with me for support. Yay. I'm feeling so ready to get this over with. We walked in and asked the girl at the desk about check in, she didn't make eye contact and told us to do it on our phone. My husband mentioned her seeming rude as we walked to the waiting area, I agreed but whatever, she wasn't drawing my blood so I brushed it off. Just that gen Z expressionless type. After waiting a few mins, I got called back up and damn, she was straight up RUDE. She spoke to me in a super condescending way. She was snarky - her replies to questions were answered specifically in a way to make you feel stupid. She was talking to me like I was a child. Girl I'm older than you. I started feeling really nervous and upset and walked back to my husband. I told him that we needed to leave, I'm not going to put up with being talked to like that, and I can't have my blood taken feeling this way. We walked back to her and told her to remove me from the appointment and left. So, to the young-ish girl at the front desk with dark curly hair pulled back, thin, black-framed glasses and false lashes working at 9:45am on 1/3 - Keep in mind there are people who are very nervous to have blood drawn, it ain't just me. Don't treat us with disrespect, we do not want to be there any more than you do and at least you're getting paid to be there. Their automated phone system says that they do walk ins until 12:00 but this is a LIE. No one cares anymore. I showed up in without an appointment because I was unable to make one...I tried but the website wouldn't work. I checked in using the in touchscreen and was given the option to come back later or wait one hour. I wasnt sure if my in car would be ok parked on the street that long so I chose the hour and went to check on it. Came back and sat down in the waiting room. An hour went by, I did not receive a text as instructed so I went to speak to a human about it but was told it was lunchtime and now it would be another hour. I needed to get a blood panel done for my doctor. I live in Washington and found out I could get this done while volunteering in California. The wait time was short. The technician was watching videos on his phone when I came into the lab and during the blood draw. I have large veins and normally not a problem getting blood. I'm writing to complain about the staff responsible for blood work. I had bad experience at different Labcorp locations. It's dissatisfied for the safety and hygiene for the blood work procedure. The elderly staff who helps me for the blood work lick her saliva to turn the document pages when she check me in. Then she folded the gauze to cover my injection site after the blood draw but don't forget she just licked her saliva. This is not the first time I've seen for that so I don't want to keep quiet anymore. During the procedure, I found she accidentally dropped the glove on the floor and grabbed it back to her pocket which is full of unused gloves instead of throw it away. I worried about if I will get infected and especially when we are low immunity. Today, I had my blood work at other Labcorp location. It's very dissatisfy for the staff who did the blood work for me regardless for the short staff, and the waiting time is taken longer which the receptionist told us. The attitude from the staff who did the blood draw for me is so rude and neglect my pain. She wrap and tie super tight on my arm two times, makes me screaming out in pain and said she couldn't see my vein if the bandage wrapping is not super tight. Then she looks like annoyed by my painful screaming and insert the needle makes me very painful again. This is not the first time I have the blood draw experience, so I know my vein is visible as many medical staffs said. I never have such painful experience like this time. I understand that it is short staff and maybe work overloaded for her. However, she should not venting emotions to the patients and it's inhumane and disqualify as a medical worker. read more

Arrived/checked in at 6:30 am for a pre-employment drug test. Was told that drug tests start at 9 am and to come back and check in at 8:55 am. There were no options online to reschedule this test and no indications online that this test is only available after 9 am. There was a printed 8 1/2 x 11" sign printed and taped to the wall in the waiting room. I spent over 3 hours in/out of this location that day....super inefficient for me. I had a terrible experience at Labcorp located at 50 Alessandro Place, Pasadena CA. The phlebotomist, Nancy who assisted was extremely rough during the blood draw. She dug the needle in painfully, went "fishing" for a vein, and forgot to release the tourniquet promptly even after I told her it was hurting. The blood wasn't flowing properly into the vials. I said " oo ouch" because of the pain, and she sarcastically remarked asked " What did you say?" - which I felt very rude and unprofessional. The worst customer service I ever endured. Went in for a walk in employee drug screen at 9am which states they offer. I Had trouble checking in. There is no front desk. Basically a waiting room with only check in tablets. There's a door that the employee come in and out off where they call patients. You're lucky if you can snag an employee. I caught (the bald man) employee to let him know I was a walk in drug screen and couldn't check in and his reply was "oh well good luck we're short staffed come back another time" and closed the door on my face. I waited for the door to open again and another employee came out and I asked her the same thing and she said we don't do drug test here I replied yes you do and showed my order and she said oh idk and close the door on me again.
