This Quest is in the same building as my doctor's office and near my house, so it's my preferred location when I need to have blood tests done. They are even open on Saturdays, which is convenient. There used to be someone that worked at the front desk and would check you in but that is no longer the case. Instead, you check in at one of the kiosks. I also recommend making an appointment in advance as walk-in appointments are hard to get and the wait will be long. The Phlebotomist that drew my blood on my recent visit was a darling lady named Martha. She was so friendly. Saying "Hi" to everyone and engaging me with fun conversation to keep my mind off having my blood drawn, which I hate. If it were possible to request her each time I would. I was surprised that my results were ready the next day and like that I can review them online.

4 hours for a walking and 1 hour with appointment.

This place used to be the fastest I've have been, with or without appointments. Now they are slower than a turtle. I hope they get back to the fester way.

We arrived and I signed in with the Ipads on the counter. We arrived at 11:00 a.m. It was 2:00 p.m. and the workers kept announcing that the system was down. After a few of their announcements, they placed a clipboard on a counter and stated,"if you have printed orders from the doctor, sign in on this sheet, and they placed the clipboard on the counter where the Ipads were located. People kept coming in. There was a young blonde hair young girl sitting on one of the desks. As more people walked in, she stated," our system is down. Its getting close to 3 and we will only take the patients with an appointment. "It's close to 3 now and we're prioritizing appointments only." I waked over to the counter. I informed her that we had arrived at 11 and that we had signed in on the IPads. Then this is what she replied. "It's close to 3 now and we are prioritizing appointments so you can choose to leave because we're not taking any walk in's. I asked her, "So you're telling me that we've been here since 11 a.m. and we're not going to seen? To which she replied the same thing, like a broken record, It's close the three and we're prioritizing appointments only.... I then informed her I had already heard her state that and I proceed to ask her for a supervisors name and number. She replied, ok and handed me a sticky note with: Amanda (818) 482-4967. I have been dialing this number and no one picks up, not even an answering machine. What type of people choose a job to work with the public but don't know how to treat, greet or help the public.

The best. Ive been coming here for years and im still very happy with my experience here. I walked…read morein today (its a Monday today) at around 11am and there were only like 3 people in there with me (only 1 when I walked in then 2 or 3 more while i was waiting). I was scared it wouldnt be the same anymore for me when I switched out insurances to my EPO insurance with my job, but when I called they easily told me they accepted it without even having to run anything and when I got there the wait was extremely fast, the process was extremely simple, the place was extremely clean and with nice aesthetics, and Jessica the NP I saw this time prescribed me exactly what I hoped for and needed (she didnt just give me basic amoxicillin, she went above and beyond prescription-wise to cover whatever possible current bacterial sickness it was i have (bad cough for over a month now) by going a step above and prescribing augmentin and im extremely happy with that decision because 1) she actually looked at my history and asked me what autoimmune condition I have and when I told her one of them is sjrogens (yes I have multiple lifelong autoimmune conditions now induced from prior years of intense stress, I came out with several long term conditions that affect me ever since some intense periods of stress for several years from like 2016 and onwards) she said the augmentin would be less drying for me so I really appreciate that she looked at all angles and initiated taking this into consideration, and 2) it will cover much more strains than pure amoxicillin which will prevent me from taking an antibiotic that may not kill what I have and we all know that taking antibiotics that wont do what it needs to do causes a whole other bunch of unnecessary problems, so im glad she wasnt stingy/playing it too safe or basic with the prescription like how alot of other providers may be at times) and I quickly left with exactly what I needed. They also have Xray machines there in case you need any diagnostics like that and the only ones they dont do is XR skull ot XR abdomen. My copay only ended up being $15 and im so so so freaking glad I have a place i can still go to now for a great urgent care experience if I ever need to even after the stress of switching out of my insurance to another one, so im super relieved and appreciate Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena so much. The girl that picked up the phone was super sweet (i love that she would call me Hun hahah and she was so helpful and nice, she also would initiate giving me important info that would prevent potential headache that could be avoided too like telling me that they would close earlier today at 3 because of memorial day which i appreciate), the guy at the front was also super nice, Oscar the XR tech who took my vitals was nice, and so was the other sweetheart who also escorted me out of the room (another nice girl, I think she had glasses on). I didn't even have to do anything for checkout. It was the fastest visit ever and I got 100% what I needed. When I walked out it was only like noon sharp but I will say that it got way busier between the time that I walked in at 11am till when I walked out at noon. The waiting room was about at least half full when I left, so im guessing maybe like 6+ people, but still looked quite manageable and like i said the place is so nice the wait just doesnt FEEL long even if it does end up being a little longer. They are fast, efficient, clean, the providers give you what you need, and most of all, they easily have accepted all my insurances even after switching to EPO. Went to the pharmacy after to pick up my med, super cheap, like $6 for the augmentin. Even cheaper than my prescription nasal spray !! Lol. Thank god for this place

Sharing my experience and perspective in hopes that it helps others when deciding on an urgent…read morecare. Why I chose this location: This urgent care is about 20 minutes from me, but I decided to come here because I saw that it had a large number of very positive Yelp reviews. The Pasadena location was also a plus. Maybe this was a naive assumption on my part, but I felt that going a little farther to Pasadena might give me a better chance of receiving a higher level of care. Overall, my experience was good. The front desk and billing staff were kind, informative, patient, and efficient. I was in and out within about 1.5 hours, although I did arrive early in the morning. The NP and other staff were professional, and I really don't have anything negative to say about how I was treated personally. A couple of things I think could be improved: The facility and exam rooms felt somewhat outdated. This is obviously cosmetic and doesn't necessarily reflect the quality of medical care, but based on the location and reviews, I expected the environment to feel a little more updated. Being updated just makes me feel safer knowing the practice cares about their equipment and environment. To me everything starts with foundation. More importantly, although the provider answered my questions & provided me meds needed to relieve pain, I left feeling somewhat medically dismissed regarding the reason I came in. I understand that an urgent care provider can't give me a definitive diagnosis without the appropriate testing, and I wasn't expecting one. However, I came in because I was experiencing significant pain and symptoms that concerned me, and I was hoping for a little more curiosity and collaboration in figuring out what might be going on. Even if the answer is, "This is outside the scope of urgent care," I would have appreciated more guidance on what type of doctor I should see next, what symptoms I should monitor, and what testing might be worth discussing with my doctor. I wasn't looking for an immediate diagnosis - I was looking to a medical professional for guidance on how to appropriately take care of myself and determine my next steps. Overall, I had a good experience operationally and everyone was professional. I just wish I had left feeling a little more heard and with a clearer path forward.

Another thing is a lot of walk ins were seen before people with an appointment. I had to wait 2+ hours to get blood drawn. This facility needs to be ran more appropriately. Overall, I do not recommend a place that doesn't take care of its patients, show a little compassion for elderly that are trying to check in on the kiosk. This place is horrendous. I would suggest going to the Quest in Arcadia which has much more workers, bigger facility and you get in and out of there according to your time of appointment. In fact I was seen about 45 minutes before my appointment time.
