I had to walk out last week. Why make an appointment when walk-ins are being called ahead of appointments? Really, this should be appointment only. Almost a whopping TWO HOURS later, I got a text saying I was going to be called in. This is unacceptable! read more

I came for an appointment yesterday and was promptly told I needed to make a payment in on my last service (which was about 60 days ago) before they would draw my blood. I told them I didn't have a bill for that yet, so I asked if they could print one, and they couldn't. All she could show was a $504 balance on her screen, but no record of what it was for or anything or what my insurance paid. I told her I wanted to review it before I paid the full balance - as my insurance has been incorrectly billed recently and I wanted to verify the charges (which by the way - is my legal right to do...). I needed to get my bloodwork done yesterday (time sensitive test) and I asked if I could make a payment, and what the minimum would be so that we could move forward, and she said $50. I agreed to make the payment and gave her my card. I was not provided a receipt, and I was not asked to sign anything. I got home and got a notice from my bank that she had charged the full $504 without authorization. This is fraud. I have called billing and they are unwilling to do anything to reverse the unauthorized amount. I have also visited the Quest location again, all ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES told me this wasn't their fault, they "don't handle billing". One of the guys lied and said the charge wouldn't go through for 2 weeks, and a lady with short brown hair actually rolled her eyes at me claiming there is no way someone charged me $504. Rigo yelled from the back that they only "take payments" and when I tried to say YES EXACTLY that she charged me for 10x the authorized amount, FINALLY the phlebotomist, Martha, who made the mistake came out and agreed that yes, something must have happened, because she remembered me from the day before and that I had told her $50. NONE of those other employees apologized for blowing me off or claiming they don't "handle billing". Shameful disgraceful behavior. Martha tried calling the Quest billing office with me to explain that she had accidentally charged $504 instead of the agreed up $50 and Billing wouldn't help her correct the error either. They've left this up to me to somehow fix their mistake with my bank. How convenient they have no way to issue refunds or stop a charge from going through. How often are they doing this? Lesson learned, avoid this location. Shame, since it's walking distance to my house, but I'd rather go somewhere where the ENTIRE STAFF aren't rude. And I don't even mean Martha, She was at least willing to admit a mistake was made. I mean every single other person I saw today who blew me off, rolled their eyes, and couldn't fathom there had been a payment error. Shame on all of you. read more

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience with the phlebotomist during my recent lab visit. From the moment I was called in, she repeatedly told me that she was 40 minutes behind schedule "because of me," even though I had arrived on time for my appointment. She then tossed one of my lab orders back at me, saying she didn't have time to do it. Moments later, she took it back, claiming the other order was incorrect and that I would need to go to my doctor's office to get it fixed. After drawing my blood, she clapped her hands at me and said, "chop chop, I have more patients to get to," which was extremely rude and uncalled for. I immediately went to my doctor's office to clarify the supposed issue with the lab order. They confirmed that the order was completely correct and even drew my blood themselves for the test she had refused to do. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. Patients deserve respect, professionalism, and accurate communication--none of which I received during this visit. read more

Check in: lightning fast via mobile app 1 star Everything else: utterly dismal Checked in on time for my appt and there were 24 people ahead of me, all of whom had appointments before mine. Everyone in the waiting room was angry. When a woman finally appeared and opened the door, a man asked her how much longer he'd have to wait as his appointment time was 25 minutes prior and he was still waiting. The response, given with a shrug: "We're behind." Why offer appointments if they won't keep them or see you anywhere close to your appointment time. My time is obviously less important than theirs. But I took time off work to come here. read more

Finding this location is a little difficult, but that's not their fault. It's in one of the buildings in the area, you should see the sign for it when you first enter the correct building though, so it's not that hard. You'll most likely have to park in the garage and pay for parking. It's best to make an appointment online. You can check in through the link they send you in your phone or on the tablets when you are there. I had an appointment for 12:10 and got there at 12. They saw me exactly at 12:10. I had Silvia and she was amazing! I'm usually a hard stick, but she was able to draw my blood in no time. She was also very kind and personable and made me feel comfortable even though I was in there for a short time because she was so fast! And very detail-oriented. She made sure to double check my information was all correct. read more

I've never had to go to any quest labs in a very long time so I decided to yelp a few and this one was no different than the others. This specific clinic in Pasadena had availability to schedule an appointment. So I came and did the express check in at 12:58pm but appointment was scheduled for 1:10pm. Got called in at 1:37pm and found out there is only 2 people working due to the usual staffing issues. So basically the take away is don't do the express check in because it's pointless and as you can see by the photo the monitor works just fine but they choose not to show the wait times because they know it's pointless with only 2 people working. So my rating will be based on the overall experience while understanding the wait time issue. Side note the other yelp reviews make it sound like they been short staffed almost a year so really I think I should be giving them a 3 star not 4. read more

Wish I got the name of the woman who stabbed me this morning with her needle and proceeded to move it around in my arm recklessly while I told her she was hurting me! I made an appointment on Wednesday for the only open slot, Thursday at 7:50. I arrived at 7:45. No reception desk so had to use the electronic pad. I didn't bring my glasses because I had an appointment but had input info. Took me a couple minutes. After scanning my DL and insurance card it said no appointment on file and asked do I want to do the walk in and they would work me in between appointments and to enter my ph number and will receive a text. I waited because there was only one other person there. All of a sudden the monitor with appointments started listing names (15 in the next hour) so I left. Good thing, I never got a text I never read more

On Friday, April 4, 2025, I had a blood draw at this location. My phlebotomist's name is Sylvia. For the draw she choose a very large needle, it seemed unnecessarily large for the type of draw she was doing. She jabbed the needle into my arm -- just pointed and jabbed straight down into my arm at an angle at the inner elbow. The insertion of the needle was extremely painful and I then felt an excruciating pain like an electric shock that extended from the point of entry all the way down my arm to the tip of my thumb. She had hit a nerve. I cried out and she asked if I wanted her to remove the needle, but at that point I wanted her to just get the blood draw over with. When she extracted the needle a red lump about the size of a pea occurred at the point of entry. She did not apologize nor did she explain what had happened. It is nearly a week later and the pain in my arm remains. When I extend my arm or move it I feel pain on the inside of my arm and there is a continuous dull ache in the affected part of my arm to my thumb. Today, I reported my symptoms to my internist. I have since learned that for children and older adults, a smaller needle is recommended as the veins are smaller and fragile. I am over 70 years of age. Sylvia's choice of the large needle for my blood draw was a poor choice, but she didn't seem to care. My warning to you: think twice before using this Quest clinic, in particular, Sylvia, if you are in need of a blood draw. read more

Unorganized, no assistance for new patients and rude staff. Would never recommend coming here.

I've never written a bad review before. And I'm never do this, but this particular office was awful. The phlebotomist, Lucy, was clearly inexperienced and extremely rude. She couldn't find my vein and proceeded to BLAME me for the reason she couldn't find my vein. I hadn't had enough water. Okay. But then, she said, can't do it just go home and make another appointment. By this point, I had fasted for over 19 hours as my blood test required me to fast. I was really upset. When I asked for her name and her supervisor's name, she started speaking Armenian with me hoping that would make a difference. Unprofessional, inexperienced, and just unable to provide any care. Plus, she jabbed me TWICE and it was painful and she made me bleed. I saw another phlebotomist and while he was much nicer, he also couldn't find my vein. And he was supposed to be the experienced one. I really don't think the phlebotomists at this location are experienced. I could be wrong, but that's what I noticed from my personal experience. But also, this is my very first time at quest diagnostics and what a horrible experience. Unfortunately, my crappy insurance, Regal, is sending me to this particular business. So, I now how to find another location and HOPE that they know what they're doing. One last thing, the second phlebotomist, the nice one, did give me a number for his supervisor. I called and left her a message yesterday. Did not get a call back. Clearly, I was not important enough. And, honestly, if I'd at least spoken to a supervisor I might have avoided writing this review. If you can avoid this location for your blood tests, please avoid and go somewhere else. read more

Worst experience ever! I've been going to quest for a very long time but this location is by far the worst. The Nurse named Lucy was very rude and showed no compassion. She told me the child she drew blood from before me was stronger than I was. "She didn't even flinch". She could not draw blood from my arm. She told me "why didn't you drink water? Didn't anyone teach you to drink water before a blood test" I felt anxious and left to get fresh air. I went back inside to ask for a different nurse but she told me I forfeited my time slot and I needed to leave. What type of place is this? Never going there again. Quest should look into this location because I am reading a lot of reviews about her. read more

Do not go to this location unless you want to waste your precious time. We went there to get the lab work for our baby. Checked in and selected option to wait outside. Then got text and went inside and waited over 30 min and realized people came after us were going in so we asked what is going on. And the lady with black and blue hair said we called you but you were not there so you are not in the system anymore. We went in right away when text came in, and I think they messed up and either forgot to call us or just skipped us. They were not willing to fix the issue and the lady who was handling the issue was very rude. We all wasted over one hour of our time. I am also going to complain to the corporate office. read more

I didn't have an appointment, so planned to be there for a while, but to my surprise - I was seen within 15 min of checking in. Get there early! He was also kind and professional. I'll definitely use this location again if/when needed. read more

Very rude stuff ! Don't waste your time by going there . I had a scheduled appointment for cortisol which requires medication to drink before the appointment and you should draw your blood in a specific time . When i asked why my scheduled appointment is being late the phlebotomist Armenian women started to argue and be rude with me then she told that she can't take my insurance when i told her i have done test in that exact location she told me that its impossible. When i asked for manager she lied to me that she is the manager ! Absolutely horrible person with so much anger! When you walk into the lobby, there's a large room with chairs along the wall and a couple touch screens on stands to get checked in. The touch screens are so carelessly set up that with each tap the entire screen stand rattles loudly on the floor. They both do that. Meanwhile a video telling you to understand how much care goes into each visit. A woman just came out and saw me writing my review. She has very great hair dye. She advised me to leave and come back another time since I don't have an appointment. They are very short staffed, she says. It's then that I realize this is the same angry woman from 4 years ago when I did my previous review. This place is as unsustainable as it gets in the current situation. Are you a walk in? Don't bother. You basically enter a room, not an office with chairs, tv, and kiosks. NO workers are in the room and actually hidden behind their door. You just have to figure out crap yourself. They have signs everywhere encouraging you to sign up if you are a walk in using their kiosks. You sign up and it gives you a time they will see you. However this is FALSE. What they don't tell you is if you are a walkin you are not important, appointments come before you... that means ALL appointments... the entire day of appointments. Is there a sign that tells you that? No. Is there a staffed personnel to tell you that? No. You see your name on the digital board queue and see it moving along, so you think OK I guess I am in line. YOU AREN'T. It isn't intuitive and like I said NO ONE TO ASK QUESTIONS. Quest doesn't want to pay or staff appropriately causing a long wait for people who haven't eaten in over 12 hours! I am going to a different quest lab cause my doctor alreasy sent a request, but I wasted 1.5 hours waiting here to then someone tell us we won't be seen even though they encourage walk ins. THEN DONT ENCOURAGE WALK INS. Next blood tests.. I'm going somewhere else. FK this place and Quest. read more

OK, so this is what happened with my new blood panels this morning... I originally was set to have them done right across the hall from Sucgang Family Medicine on Las tunes. But 2 weeks ago I left my weekly O.M.T session with the interns at Sucgang Family Medicine I reviewed my calendar and realized that I didn't have that much time left before my blood work so I opted to go across the hall and take a seat and wait. Lol I was met by a locked door and a notice on the door that read emergency closure will be opened next week. I phoned QUEST to reschedule my appointment for next week. I went home and returned last week .. only to be met with another sign and I followed suit and phoned QUEST and rescheduled for the following Tuesday but this time I got a message that I was going to need to make an appointment for a different location for my blood work. So I opted for a completely new a new appointment over in Pasadena on Bellafintane st. I literally waited maybe 5 or 7 minutes after my arrival and I was invited into the room for my blood EXTRACTION and I literally felt nothing except for the squeeze of my medical professional. Lol another pain free blood panel. read more

Go to this Quest! I went during COVID and didn't have an appointment because all appointments were booked for 3 weeks. I did a walk in right after they opened and they were able to take me. Wait: They have a large waiting room in the front that is socially distanced and the facility is clean. There were not that many people there. After I signed in, they called me back within 5 minutes. Parking: I found street parking but I think there is a paid garage right behind their building. Very good experience at this Quest, not sure why their ratings are low. refused service. I wish I got her name. she said unable to do blood draw because my son's medical group did not have a contract with their location. I asked her to please check because he had a different medical group from the one listed on the physical card- she refused to look it up to confirm. I asked if I could call my insurance to confirm, she refused. I asked her to please run it through ppo instead of hmo, she refused. so 30+ minutes of waiting (we had an appointment) my 10 year old son had to do for his very first blood draw with mounting anxiety was all for nothing because she didn't feel like being helpful or to problem solve in any way. she just kept shutting me down with a firm "no!" I got home, called my insurance and they confirmed all my suspicions- I should have been able to call them while there, they should have taken my ppo, and they should have checked my medical group to see if they had a contract with the correct one, which they did. it doesn't take much effort to help someone, but she wasted our time and my patience. I have to take him back next Monday, I better be able to get his blood drawn with no issues now that I am equipped with the knowledge that I have. read more

I had my 3hr GTT at this location. The lady who drew my first three vials of blood was ok even if she kept fishing for my vein. I'm an RN but kept quiet as I don't want them to feel uncomfortable doing their job. For the 4th and last draw, another older lady did it. She poked me three times. She also fished again even if I kept telling her where they usually draw my blood. She tried to draw at the same spot that the previous tech used. She fished on both veins twice. She failed, that's fine. What is not right is when I pointed to her my go to vein, she removed the butterfly needle from my other vein and poked me with THE SAME NEEDLE!!! It was very QUICK I COULDNT EVEN SAY A THING. I just can't believe she did that! She did not even disinfect the spot and who the hell REUSES A NEEDLE?!!! By the way, they know I am pregnant that's why I am doing the GTT but they do not care if I get infection or not! I am never coming back. Now waiting for my result but they also maybe have messed it up because before I left, someone else's paper was clipped with my paperwork. She even made a comment about it. Nothing is showing as pending result on my quest app. We'll see! ADD: She was from another room with a pt, walked out with the same gloves she wore with that pt and went to another room and touched stuff. Then she used the same glove to draw my blood! Nasty location! Stay away and go somewhere else. Do not risk yourself getting infected! read more

I can count on one hand how many times a technician was EVER able to draw blood from my arm in their first attempt -- Lucy is a true professional phlebotomists. She did everything in a matter of minutes, and was even wearing a mask - which as someone with an ailing parent who was also wearing a mask -- I greatly appreciated. Pros: 1. I had an online appointment and "it worked" - they knew I was coming, I had an online checkin via text, and I was seen. 2. The person who took my blood did a good job and I was out of there very quickly. Cons: 1. Parking is confusing and half a block away. 2. There are two checkin kiosks. The right one didn't work but there was no sign, and you didn't really know it didn't work even after trying to check in. I just overheard someone else saying that one doesn't go through. A worker came out and verified it wasn't working, and yet still didn't tell other people, put a sign, or unplug it... so whoever came in and used that machine thought they were checked in but they weren't. read more

If I could give it zero I would. The people here at extremely rude to the patients. They basically told all walk in that they should just come back with an appointment, said you should know you're going to wait all day, and that you should just leave because you're not a priority. There was 3 people in the room, it wasn't even crowded. They were very rude to all the people that came in, even people with appointment, treating people like cattle. If you could give this place negative stars, I would! I made an appointment but there were many walk-ins which they take in between appointments, which causes them to fall behind on their appointments. Even with an appointment you end up waiting a very long time.
