Located at Fair Oaks and Bellefontaine, Pasadena. Quest is at North Tower 1st floor but parking is inside South Tower Cotton Medical Center - the building across and beside it. Just drive inside South Tower, grab a ticket and just walk out across heading to North tower. Easy to find suite, next to the entrance door, quiet surrounding with plenty of green chairs in the waiting area and polite employees. Turnover is fast. They greet you with respect and professionalism. Not so packed on a Monday morning. Best thing is they open very early if you prefer super early appointments. Place looks newly renovated, clean and temperature is warm enough inside. Will consider coming back here for much earlier tests, which my near Quest location starts 2 hours or so later. read more

Good: Clean Bad: $4 flat rate parking with no validation 30 minute wait to drop off my daughter's urine sample when there were just 4 people ahead of me Didn't have my daughter's physical card so had to have my wife text me a photo and then download an iPhone app so I could fax it to them because they don't take email Fun day read more

This location is close to Pasadena . That would be the plus. It's a clean place. They're poor in customer service. They need better training. read more

Not sure why all the reviews are bad. I've been to several other locations in my years and this is top notch in terms of cleanliness, efficiency, professionalism, timeliness, and skill of the nurses. I always choose this location. Tips: schedule an appointment online, it's a time saver, and second, the entrance to parking structure is on Alessandro St., not Bellfontaine. read more

Avoid this place at all costs!! I thought about giving this location another shot since it is a convenient location for me. Every single staff is rude and unfriendly. For someone who is scared of needles and bloodwork, the staff here does nothing to help. They don't even greet you upon arrival or say goodbye as they leave the room. You are a transaction to them and not a person. I filed a complaint with their customer service line and I hope they get new management or train their existing staff. Get it together, Quest! read more

Each year I go back to have my blood work done, this place looks more and more run down. The "reception" area is now self check in with chairs lining the walls, no personnel available if you have a question. At least this year they've removed all the computer generated paper signs and replaced them with color coordinated permanent signage. I didn't have to wait long before my technician came out calling a name several times when I realized it was my last name. she was referring to me by my last name in the singular which traditionally is a man's first name. When I gave her my full name she nodded and directed me into the next area still calling me by my last name. She instructed me to go into Room 3, that looked like a huge storage room. I still wasn't sure I was the patient she was looking for until I saw my drivers license photo plastered across the computer screen. A few minutes later she arrived and started the process; questioning if I wanted to have all the blood work done due to the number of viles (my doctor runs multiple tests, not the standard one and done). Anyway she was pleasant while drawing the blood and it went quickly. However once the process was done she gathered the viles so I could confirm each vile was properly labeled with my full name, and she kept dropping the viles. It made me nervous bc I thought, after fasting for over 12 hours and without any caffeine in my system, I didn't want to have to go thru this process all over again if viles broke (thank goodness they're plastic) or opened up. Although not the most sanitary to see her picking viles up off the floor and tossing them back into the "high tech" basket. Next came time for the urine sample. She handed me a plastic container - no not the heavy duty traditional "pee cups" this one looked like it was made for a side of salsa or guac just with the Quest logo around it. She nervously looked around, grabbed a shoebox size plastic container, rearranging papers and its other contents and said, " here, put your urine sample in here when your done". The bathroom looked like it could have been in a gas station. The secret/privacy door where patients used to place urine samples was taped up. Which was good, bc last year when I opened that door to place my sample in there, there were already a good number of (filled) sample cups stacked on top of one another. The hot water was not working, but at least there was cold water. No soap in the dispenser, instead a generic, industrial sized bottle of liquid soap on the counter. Yes there were paper towels! I did as instructed and placed my cup in the authorized receptacle, hoping that the identifying label wouldn't fall off since part of it was folded over and bunched up. Well made it through another year & can't wait to see what "improvements" Quest has in store next year! read more

3 Days after previous visit and Yelp review: Received a call today from a Quest customer service person informing me that the lab screwed up my test for the SECOND time! They were "unable to completely process" the test. Why? because their employee entered the doctor's order incorrectly and they ran the wrong test. When I asked if employees were even trained or supervised, she said Quest didn't supervise their employees "in every location". I indicated this would be my 3rd time coming in for the same test. She was surprised and stated she wasn't aware because Quest RELIES ON THEIR PATIENTS TO TELL THEM WHAT'S GOING ON IN THEIR OWN FACILITIES! On the bright side they aren't going to charge for the test my doctor didn't order. There is an appalling culture of carelessness and indifference at this place. Avoid if at all possible read more

Horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They have drywalled over the reception area so there is no one to help you. Good luck if it's your first time. I had to help several patients check in. Minimal instruction on signs. I waited over an hour, and I had an appointment. No air conditioning indoors, most people waiting outdoors in the hot sun, including elderly, fasting patients. The phlebotomists were no help at all, said that's just the way it is and to wait your turn. They're trying to blame Covid, but I was here a few times during the pandemic and it was never like this. No excuse for this. read more

Come prepared to know exactly what you need done because the staff is sloppy and can forget a part of your testing if you don't remind them. Also, expect to wait awhile even in you're only dropping off a specimen. If you have another location near you, go there instead. read more

This place is badly organized. We have an order from the doctor to do blood test monthly (second time). I gave it to the office but somehow it only worked for that month. This month when we checked in the office staff said there is no order... so we completely wasted our time (half an hour) and the receptionist refused to check on the last order to see if it was a monthly thing. He has no enthusiasm to help anyone. Please take a look at his eyes! He hates the job. The only reason I gave two stars is because the nurses there are great. Most of them are competent. Some of them are very cheerful for the children. They are the true heroes/heroines! read more

This review is only based on one employee named Silvia. This morning I took my mother in to get blood drawn. When we arrived, I did not notice the hours of operation. There was already another lady waiting to go inside the waiting room. I turned the door knob and the door happened to open. Not sure why? The lights were off. We happened to walk inside the waiting room along with the lady who was already waiting ahead of us. After having gone through the registration process on the tablet and sitting down in the waiting room (at this point there are 5 of us in the waiting room) and 3 having checked in on the tablet, a red-colored hair lady by the name of Silvia (I'm assuming she is one of the employees there) she comes out screaming at the top of her lungs, "You have to get out! We are not ions yet!" To which I respond, "Pardon me, can you please wait outside. We are not open for business yet." (Modeling professional customer service, which she lacked.) At this time it was 7:26 am, which is only 4 minutes prior to opening. Why couldn't she just have us wait inside? No, she kicked all of us out very unprofessionally and two of the people she kicked out, including my mother, are elderly and need assistance. Her actions were totally uncalled for and she has no professionalism whatsoever. What an embarrassment for Quest Diagnostics to have an employee like Silvia. Thankfully another phlebotomist, Rigo, came to the rescue and assisted us without him having prior knowledge of what had just occurred. Rigo, you are a model of what excellent customer service should be like. Perhaps, Silvia can learn a thing or two from you. I hope that Quest Diagnostics management takes note of this employee's unprofessional actions and reprimands her (Silvia) for it. She definitely needs to improve her customer service skills! Rigo, I can't begin to thank you enough for your service! I cannot wait for the survey from Quest to yet again express my discontent for the poor service provided by Silvia. Silvia, I don't know what happened during your start of the day, but it was not our fault. Hope others did not have a bad experience with you the rest of the day. read more

I've been here twice in the last 2 years and both times I arrived before they open at 6:30am. I recommend going at least 10-15 minutes before they open if you don't have an appointment. On both occasions I was seen within 20-25 minutes. The phlebotomist on my most recent visit did a fair job but it hurt a little bit. I was just happy the whole process took about 30 minutes. I will continue to come back because they open early. You should be able to find street parking if you arrive by 6:30am. read more

Very slow, even with an appointment. They process 1 patient every 10-15 minutes, and there are dozens of people waiting. Adding to this frustration, they do not validate parking in their own garage, so be prepared to bring a book and pay a bit to park. Once we got in the phlebotomist did a nice job. read more

Had an appointment and still waited an hour to get called in for the draw. Front desk seemed extremely disorganized and slow. I checked on the progress three times and was kept being told that they were working on my paperwork. The third time they said i would be next. Instead of being called next, they called three people ahead of me. One had an appointment 15 mins later than me! The woman at the front blamed the phlebotomist for not writing "appointment" on the paperwork. Why is this even a manual process?! I don't appreciate the blame game. Take accountability and do what it takes to make it a smoother process. I have no plans to return to this location. Avoid if you can. read more

And a year passed... here we go again... Really glad we have found this place... open Saturday, no long lines, very clean and super friendly staff! =D On-street parking, in and out in less than 20 mins. Turned in the paperwork, waited for about less than 5 mins... phlebotomist are friendly and very thorough in making sure that you are the correct person on the label on the tube. Please see my previous review - mistakenly put it under Green St location. read more

This is the second Quest labs I have been to. This one is miles above the other. Parking in front is Handicap parking only. There's parking Structure just across the street. Street parking is hard to come by. Service was quick. Have your paperwork, insurance card ready and you should be out in no time. I was out in less than a half hour. Nice waiting room with a/c, old magazines a and plenty of seating. Staff was courteous and competent. Make sure you have some water before coming. You may need to supply a urine specimen. read more

Friendly front office staff, in and out in 20 minutes. Clean facility. Register online. When you walk in they have two sign in sheets - appointments and walk-in. My phlebotomist was great! Office is running 30 minutes behind on appointments because they book 4 appointments every 15 mins when they only have 3 people to actually perform the blood draws. Plus a ton of walk-ins. Given COVID, nobody wants to be stuck in a room/area for an extended period of time with other potentially sick people so why would Quest's booking policy be this way??? It's not only annoying but downright irresponsible. Do better Quest. read more

This location is clean, cheerfully decorated, quiet, comfortable and spacious. The front desk receptionist and lab staff are friendly. They have an efficient billing system to look up how much your insurance plan will cover and simply charge your card for the difference on the spot. Results are sent to physician quickly. What more could one ask for?? And now they even have a digital running estimate of the time each patient will need to wait ! Ohhh darn, that's just the time until they take your paperwork, not the time until they take you back :/ read more

I made an appointment for a few tests during the Covid outbreak. When I arrived it was an easy check in and the reception was courteous. I ended up arriving a whole day late because I had been confused about the days. The reception assured me that it was not a problem because there were only three other people waiting. Once my name was called just a few minutes later, the phlebotomist took me to the room and prepped me for the blood draw. He was very well covered in safety gear and the room looked clean. The blood draw was easy, which is a relief because I have tiny veins. After he checked to make sure that my info on the vials was correct, and I was free to go. Now I am just waiting on the results. I don't write many Yelp reviews, but the service here was so spectacular I felt obligated to give them kudos. Thanks guys! read more

They were fast and the facility was clean and comfortable but an hour after I left from being there for my 3 hour glucose test and getting poked 4 times, I get a call from someone from here asking me how many times I got my blood drawn?!? Ummmm, YOU TELL ME! You guys are the "professionals" here who took my blood! I told them 4 times and she tells me that they can only find 3 draws?!? I gave her a description of the people who did each draw and we end the call. 5 mins later,I get ANOTHER call from them and I'm being told that the lady I described as being the last one who drew my blood "couldn't have" drawn my blood because the lady I described "went home" earlier. What?!?! So, I created a fictional character that drew my blood?!?! They called BACK saying they could only find 3 of my blood draws. I tried not to be rude with the woman but I have never read more

I took one of the residents here from the group home where I work to get a blood draw last night. He has Down Syndrome and can be quite volatile when he is upset, which, understandably, he was because his last experience at another facility was not so great. The staff was very patient (with both of us!) and tried very hard with me to convince him to let them do the draw. Ultimately, they were not able to do it because he started to become physically aggressive, but I really appreciate how hard and how long they tried with me to get it done without an iota of frustration. They even told him he could have a piece of their pizza if he complied (which almost worked!). I thought that was so incredibly generous and above and beyond what most people would have done. read more

bad service rut and unprofessional my life came in to drope off sample and waited for over 11/2 hours.

I came in for blood tests and they needed to take 5 vials. Generally, I have very easy to find and good veins. I pointed my best vein out to the person taking my sample given I really hate needles and wanted to be swift about this. She said it wasn't good and chose my other arm. She missed my vein and proceeded to move the needle in and out looking for the vein - it was very painful, and seemed quite unprofessional so I asked her to stop. She said it's very common to miss and she may not hit my vein the second time. At this point, I just asked for a new person. This was a pretty awful experience and I'm surprised it even happened to be honest. Who licenses these people who work in a lab in a building with multiple doctors offices? There's a great lab by Huntington Hospital just off Fair Oaks, go there! read more

Although the waiting room is clean, the receptionist was kind, and the phlebotomists were occasionally kind, the same phlebotomists also exhibited an astonishing amount of unwarranted impatience and disrespect toward me. This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have had in a lab. I hope the phlebotomists can be trained on how to be more respectful to patients. read more

I have been to other Quest offices and they were great but this one was not the case. The front desk is rude, extremely slow, and not helpful when I had questions. When I finally got in for my appointment after a long wait, the technician was also very rude and barked orders at me. Their terrible behavior put me in a bad mood and ruined my day! There are plenty of Quest offices so I recommend going to another one. read more

The check in and paperwork is ridiculous. Every time I come In I have to give them the same information and insurance card even though it's on file. They don't even check you in all at once, they make you sit down and come back up, then sit down again and come back up. And then they don't even know how much your co-pay is. They told me to pay $200 but that it might be less after they bill insurance and then I'll get a refund. When I told them I couldn't afford that today they said "OK, no charge today, we will just bill you". WTF. read more

They're sufficiently fine. Just know if you make an appointment, it doesn't matter if you show up an hour early, on time or 30 min late, you'll wait at least an hour to be seen. Honestly, you'll wait about that if you don't make an appointment, too. Just be sure to confirm that they have your lab order or you'll wait all that time and they'll send you packing; they don't check when you check in they check when you are being called back. Again, all just fine but really frustrating if you aren't proactive yourself. read more

This is the worst Quest Diagnostics I've been to. This review is mostly for the receptionist Micaela who oversaw the check-in process. -Long Wait Times: The waiting room was not that full. I had an appointment and had to wait over one hour. Several patients came up to the receptionist to ask how much longer the wait was. -Unorganized: The receptionist could have sped up the wait time by asking patients who need to do urine samples to do that first, but she didn't. She also forgot to distribute the urine sample wipes that should come with the cup. The person who took my blood was awesome. But I would not come back for the sole reason of how poorly organized the front desk is. read more

OMG! I am so impressed by service I received from his lab. I checked in and within 5 minutes I was called in. Lucy took my blood and she is a pro. If you like the feel of visiting a 3rd world country doctor...this is for you. The actual office may have been relocated from Bratislava and dumped right where some nice palm tree used to be. Anyways. Filled out the web form on the same iPad as everyone else was touching. They should keep those clean as they are probably dirtier than the door handles in that building. The Doctor didn't write my name on the form. I'm getting a blood draw for a physical. They turned me away. I must look like some guy who gets blood drawn for kicks. Customer service is HORRIBLE. I refuse to deal with them again at any point in the future.

There is no way to speak to a representative here. Even if you press the doctor line it will tell you that they are busy and to call back later. They told me they are waiting to hear back from the doctor but if the doctor line is consistently busy, how do they plan to hear back from her? read more
