    Small waiting area
    Silvia G.

Inside the Providence Building on the 3rd Floor and across from St. Joseph Hospital by the 22 freeway. This is a little older facility (they're currently renovating the 4th Fl so not sure if they'll eventually get to all floors) but the times I've been here it's been an easy in and out experience. The staff is very nice and friendly. You can see the wait time on their website and can also schedule an appointment in advance. You arrive, you sign in through and I-pad, very efficient. Waiting area is small but they've managed to social distance with a few chairs and floor stickers. There's street parking around but also a structure across and they validate for 2 hours.

Park your car, enter the lobby, go right

There's many Quest locations within walking distance from CHOC/ St. Josephs. This is one of the locations located across the street from CHOC, inside the CENTER FOR CANCER PREVENTION & TREATMENT, literally at the onramp for the 22 freeway westbound. The reason I chose this location is they had a 7:30 am appointment. I needed to do lab work that required fasting, and they were close to my work. Like all the other CHOC medical centers, you park at a structure (take your ticket for validation). The validation here, unfortuantely, only knocks off $1, unlike the other pavilions which validates free parking for at least 1 hour to 90 minutes. Upon walking into the lobby, turn right at the Information Kiosk, walk down to the Pharmacy, and turn right. There should be a big green sign pointing right to 'QUEST'. The check in window is to the right, as well as the validation machine. The staff is professional, but not the most cheerful. Perhaps its because it was only 7:30 am, and the coffee hasn't kicked in? I agree with other yelpers that their bedside manners could be a little friendlier, but, they do their job and what more can you ask for? I arrived at 7:45 (late because couldn't find the place!) and at 8:05 a phlebotomist took me to station 2. He had me look over my paperwork, no smile, no joking... all business. I told him I was deathly afraid of needles, and he nodded. He looked at both arms, and decided my right was better to draw blood, asked me to look away, and within seconds I was done! He did a great job! While walking back to my car, there's a sign that says pay before leaving. The parking (even with validation) was $4. Geez.. literally next door its free with validation. Oh well, the benefit of coming here is they had a 7:30 am appointment, and for other yelpers, they're opened on weekends. I guess you pay for convenience, right? 4 stars for a painless procedure, but minus 1 star for the difficulty to find this place, and for the non free parking.

The nurse that took out the blood was very gentle and also gave you a good explanation of what was being done when asked.

Bring in Yelp to the rescue! Asked Siri , "find me the closest location Stat" and onward it brought me to this location in Orange. Parking was a breeze, i was greeted by Edith who assisted me with several of my orders. One of which i had to email. Word to the wise, wifi here is a bit tricky. So, i signed onto their "guest" portal via wifi and after several attempts was able to successfully send the order to them. Thank you Edith! I got lucky. It must be noted: Morning draws have to be by appointment: 7:30am-12pm. After lunch, walk-ins are possible. I made it by 3:15pm within walk-in hours and was able to be helped . Key note: this location is located on bottom floor, as you walk inside the building it's straight after security. They are open until 5pm M-F. I had to use the Kiosk to check-in via ID and verify insurance per usual and the rest was sitting in the waiting room. The vibe here is lovely. Its a small waiting room, with limited seating ( i counted 6 chairs) but it has a tv for one to watch while they wait. Edith, Brianna and Sherri at the front desk were friendly, welcoming and super helpful with my email/order issue. Each Labcorp location has its own vibe. This one is cozy yet uplifting. Once inside the Phlebotomist named: Louis Helped me. My arm wasn't being helpful, and mid-way we had to abort mission. I had a small, tiny issue with vasal -vagal nothing some rubbing ETOH can't handle. Luckily, I was able to get some samples needed for an immediate issue. Will come back for the remaining when ive rested for round 2.

This is my first Labcorp experience, having only ever gone to Quest. It was AWESOME! Knowing they are new, I took a chance and went sans appointment around 10am on a Wednesday. 1. NICE STAFF - I am beyond tired of irritable, rude, medical staff. Be NICE - it's a stressful situation and you are in service - PERIOD :). 2. EASY automated CHECK-IN, IPad situation (staff support :)). 3. IN AND OUT - I waited under 10 minutes from start to finish. 4. FRIENDLY - The Phlebotomist was kind, communicative and pleasant. 5. THEY VALIDATE PARKING!! For me, paying for parking when doing medical stuff is like insult to injury! Not only did they validate, the staff even told me about it.

My daughter went to the LabCorp location on Stewart Drive in Orange today for blood work. During…read morethe blood draw, the phlebotomist appeared distracted and inserted the needle far too deeply, causing my daughter to experience an immediate electric shock sensation shooting down her arm. It was extremely painful and clearly felt like nerve involvement. Since the appointment at 10 AM, she has been in significant pain and still cannot fully straighten her arm. This is very concerning. I attempted multiple times to file a complaint through their website, but the complaint/rate your explanation page will not load -- it just continuously spins on both desktop and mobile devices. What's even more alarming is that after speaking with friends and family, my sister told me the exact same thing happened to her at this same location about six weeks ago. This raises serious concerns about the training and competency of the staff performing these procedures. I can only wonder how many other patients may have experienced similar injuries.

I'm also still working at home so not going to my other usual spot in Newport Beach next to my office. Both times I've been in and out quickly but did have an appointment for each. What I really like about this location is the staff, they are super friendly and professional. Today I had a newer person drawing my blood while the other did the paperwork etc. while also helping the new person out. Both had great personalities and chatted with me the whole time. I'm not afraid of needles and get tests a few times a year but for someone who is nervous the demeanor of the phlebotomists here would help calm them for sure. I wish I wrote down their names because they both deserve kudos for being genuinely kind individuals. Even when I go back to my office soon I'll be coming to this location for my blood labs.

Keep in mind this was at around 2pm I was turned away but they state that they accept walking until 3pm. Absolutely ridiculous and who would have know that the lab can't run many lab tests or hit a "quota" for the day. As I was waiting, in case someone doesn't show up, I saw another gentleman be turned away for the 2nd day in a row due to the same "quota" being met. Highly do not recommend it's an absolute mess and waste of time.

I checked in and waited about 15 minutes before a staff member finally appeared. I asked if I needed to move my car, as I was parked in a one-hour zone. She said it could take longer than that, so I told her I'd go move it. She then informed me that I'd have to check in again when I returned, even though the lobby was empty at the time. I moved my car quickly--it took no more than 5 minutes--but when I came back, I noticed my check-in had been removed. Another person was now seated, and it appeared they hadn't even checked in properly as a walk-in. Before I left, my name had been showing first in the queue. After waiting another 40 minutes, I saw staff tell that person to check in and then took them in before me. When I mentioned that I had been ahead in line, they denied it and claimed otherwise. I've now been waiting over an hour, and they've started calling in scheduled appointments. I would have made one if I could, but this is urgent and has to be done today. The lack of fairness, transparency, and basic courtesy is incredibly frustrating.
