First time I was here the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and told me that they could not do the test I needed to have done after 9am even though they let me make an appointment for 10am. She offered no help after telling me that so I had to figure out another day to get my test. I made by best attempt to avoid coming back to this lab but I needed to have a 2 hour test done and did not want to take time off from work so only Saturdays would work. I considered going to the Newport Beach location but reviews for that place were horrible and I would be driving an additional 15 miles. I gave this place a second chance and luckily they had different people at the front desk this time. During this visit everyone was helpful and considerate. They moved the appointments and walk-ins through the place very quickly. This place gets packed on Saturdays and there's a long line before they even open their doors at 7am! The staff manages to be efficient to get everyone seen in a decent amount of time. read more

WORST ever!! Why make an appointment? The wait is still an hour or longer! Staff is RUDE! This is the worst place to come for children even though it is listed for pediatric specialties. This is the worst quest I have ever been to! I made an appointment and half hour later, I am still waiting. And there's only me and one other person in the waiting room. Usually quest has me in and out in 10-15 minutes. It's super hard to find the building and to find parking as well. I came here last week on a Thursday around 4 P.M. To my luck there was no wait time. We were in & out within 15 mins or less. Fast service but that's not the reason I gave this place 5 stars. The reason I am giving it 5 stars is because Lisa was so calm & so sweet to my 3 year old son. Keep in mind that my son already knows the process & hates being poked by needles. He wasn't having it. He was refusing & fighting the process. She wasn't mean or gave me bad vibes. She was very nice to him & she was sooooo good that after my son got poked with the needle he stopped crying & that has never happened. She kept talking to him & made him feel comfortable. I would like to give a shout out to Aunkise who works here. She helped me more than my doctor or any member of his staff. I brought my kidney stones in for a biopsy. I was TOLD by the receptionist to call on a certain date, two weeks later, for the results. When I did, I was told the doctor was too busy to talk to me. Each time I was told I would get a call back, which never happened. SEVEN phone calls later, even after politely telling them I understand he's busy but that I'm also a patient, the best I got out of these people was call Quest Diagnostics to find out the information. So they have time to post but not time to make a phone call! . Aunkise waited patiently on the phone as I tried to navigate their website. Not easy when you're 65 years old. She then offered to just email me the results which was something I asked Dr. Pearce's office to do on my third call to them. Thank you, Aunkise, you cared more for me than my doctor. I wanted the results so I could know what the stones were composed of so I could adjust my diet accordingly. Thanks to this competent, helpful, wonderful employee, now I can. Had to get blood drawn for my daughter today and specifically went to this location because it is right next to the Children's Hospital so I heard they are better with kids, I wish I had time to check yelp before coming here, I only had an hour after the doctors visit and this location was the one open latest and closest to CHOC. From check in, the front desk attendant (who also became the tech) was unpleasant. He loudly yawned complaining how tired he was while we were there waiting saying he can't wait to get out of there. There was one patient before us, we waited about 10-15 min, my daughter was frightened, I told him from the beginning but he didn't care, no compassion or sign of kindness, he wanted to hurry up and leave. He didn't explain the procedure just acting like a robot, told me to hold her arm down forcefully or go elsewhere, so she can be strapped down! She wasn't squirming or moving around she was sitting and crying because she was scared. After giving us a 2 min warning otherwise he's going to leave, the second tech came in. She calmed my daughter down, explained what she was going to do, and got the sample and was done in a couple of minutes. If it wasn't for her we would have had to come back. This guy was awful, I told him how rude he was and how unpleasant for any patients have to deal with him. He said this is the procedure and he was not going to argue with me. Procedure? Make the kid even more frightened? Go elsewhere, not saying another Quest office is going to be any better but this one (unless you get the lady tech who knows what she's doing) he will completely ruin your day. Getting your blood drawn is already uneasy but having a rude person doing it makes it 10x worse. Maybe he had a bad day, but the looks of the other reviews here, I don't think so. read more

Had a 2 hour wait with a very over-worked staff. Standing room only in the waiting room and only one phlebotomist working. She was excellent at her work but very stressed because of understaffing. Then, when I get my lab results they were incomplete. I went back to the office and was told it took two days for those particular results. It has now been 5 days and no results back yet. Quest Diagnostics is in real need of some serious competition. read more

I won't be going back to the 1310 w Stewart Dr Orange location. I bothered to make an appointment, arrived early and was still placed in the same 30 minute wait que as everyone else in the waiting room. My total wait time was over 45 minutes. Making an appointment made no difference whatsoever. The phlebotomist was not at all friendly and actually threw the vials of blood onto the desk after they were drawn. It was a poor experience, felt "robotic" and was devoid of any positive customer service. read more

Really sucky customer service and I have no faith in them! I had made an appointment for 9:15 in the AM and ended up 20 minutes late because I couldn't find the place. There is another quest lab two blocks away and I went there instead only to find out they weren't open on saturdays. So I race back to my car in the parking structure, look up the second closest location and scrambled to find the right place. Another parking garage and a long walk later, I walk in, I go to the front desk to check in. She asks me if I have an appointment and I explain that I did, but am 20 min late because I got lost. I signed in and had a seat. I'm not good for blood draws, I tend to pass out, so my Dr prescribed something for me to take to keep me from doing so. I take the medicine 30 to 60 minutes before my blood draw and it keeps me calm enough not to faint. So as much as I didn't mind sitting in the hot, cramped waiting area (think DMV with more sick people) I was worried that the medicine was loosing its effect while I sat. But I waited and from where I sat I got to listen to the front desk lady chew out a nurse in the back. An arguement between the two of them insued, at the front desk! Very unprofessional. Lots of mid-aged frumpy women not working! The phone was ringing and nobody answered it, and this one guy who was waiting approached the front desk and commented how he'd waited hours and was wondering how much longer. The lady looks at his form and then flipantly remarks that his specific test can only be done on a weekday! He'd been there hours and thats how he gets talked to. The lady never said "sorry" or offered to make him an appointment or anything! The guy was pissed and rightly so! So he leaves and I'm thinking I can't handle this. This place is run so poorly! Then some heavy accented lady calls for "Milly" and two people go to the front desk. One of them, "Milly" gets told to get out her insurance card and sign something in a less than kind manner, the other lady, whose name is "Lilly" thought she heard her name, so the rude front desk lady looks at her and says they will help later. Again no appology for the confusion, just "go sit down". That's it, I can't handle the poor service and unprofessionalism of this place. I am, on a good day bad with blood draws, and this place had lost all my faith in them just in how their lobby was being run. I got up, told the lady I ws leaving and she said, " ok, but we will be helping you soon" When I asked when that would be, another person at the front said, "maybe another hour". My meds would have worn off by then, and what I don't understand is if I was on time how could that have helped at all seeing that they were running hours behind scheldule. I will find another place to get my pre-surgery blood tests. Never again! read more

8.14.2018. My employer required a urine collection/drug test and sent me to 1310 W. Stewart Dr. St 304 in Orange, CA. Today, I went in to this location during business hours with my Quest Authorization in hand and I was told that THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY KITS. Excuse me? You are a laboratory, how do you not have any kits?! I was told that "it happens sometimes." I asked if I were to come back this Thurday, would you have kits then? And the lady told me "I cannot promise that." It is shocking to me that a drug testing center doesn't have any drug testing kits. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE! What a joke of a center. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! Whomever tracks your inventory needs to be retrained ASAP because this is not OK. If you are not able to keep enough supplies in stock on a regular basis, then you should consider shutting down this location. But to waste my time and my employer's time for your ongoing mistakes is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and cannot happen again. What happened today is ABSURD and very DISAPPOINTING! You had one job! You earned this 1 star review and I hope that someone with authority reads this and takes action to prevent this from reoccurring and wasting other people's time. This is NOT OK. you NEED an appointment! 2 hour wait at 7am on Sat?! Alicia and 'Probty' at the front desk are very unprofessional. Condescending and unhelpful. Several violations of HIPA laws (privacy) occured. Good luck getting an appointment in a reasonable time frame. Their phone support is less than helpful, I don't even bother to try anymore. This is the only local office open on a Sat. This place is awful. The hours posted online say 9-4 and open for lunch. I was required to get a pre employment drug screen done which I found out about around 11:00. By the time I drove down to this place and parked and walked across the street to the building it was 12:30 and the door was locked with a sign that said Closed for lunch 12-1. There was another person standing there waiting who had seen the hours posted as open during lunch as well. I came back around 3:00 pm. No one was in the waiting room and no one even acknowledged me for over 15 minutes. A very rude older woman finally came out and said "I need your insurance card." I explained that I was there for a pre employment drug test and she didn't need my insurance card. To which she replied "sit down someone will call you." Even though there was no one there it took 45 minutes for her to collect a urine sample before I could leave. Don't go here. I don't trust them with my sample she even kept it out of my view for awhile before she bagged it and I saw her sneeze on it. Wtf! read more

My employer sent me to Quest for a pre-employment urine test. I was asked to go to the 24022 Calle La Plata location. My employer told me that they would be open until 5:00 pm and gave me a form that stated that the clinic was open until 5. When I arrived at 3:15 pm I found a paper note attached to the door stating that the clinic closed at 2:30 pm. Next to that note was one stating that for services one should go to the Taj Mahal Building, across the street. When I arrived at the clinic across the street at 3:25 pm, I signed the register and was asked to have a seat. After 25 minutes of waiting, my name was called. When I told the woman what I was there for, she informed me that they did not do pre-employment urine test there. I asked her where I could go to have one done and she sent me to 1010 W. La Veta in Orange. I arrived at the Orange location at 4:20 pm. I signed the register and was asked to have a seat. I only had to wait 15 minutes for a woman to call my name. When I told her that I was there for a pre-employment urine test, she told me that I was late, and although the clinic was open until 5:00 pm, pre-employment urine tests we not done after 4:00 pm. I explained to her that I was sent specifically to that clinic from Laguna Hills and she told me that there was nothing that she could do, that she only worked there. When I showed her the Quest form that stated they did test until 5:00 pm she informed me that I was given an old form at the Laguna Hills clinic. She never apologized for my inconvenience, just told me to leave and come back on another day, after 9 am and before 4 pm and by the way, they close for lunch. She also told me that if I did not like her attitude then I should call her supervisor. What a bunch of bureaucratic BS! read more
