A telephone call to find a location which may offer a specific test landed me in the rat maze with an obnoxious voice offering numerous options which provided me with additional options except an option to speak to a live person. What a wonderful location! Came in this morning with my daughter who was very nervous about the blood draw. The lady that checked me in was not helpful and misplaced my paperwork. I waited forever and saw a new person at the front. Her name was Tracy and she was immediately helpful. She found my paperwork and was so gentle and caring with my daughter. She took the time to make sure she felt comfortable. We were so fortunate that she also drew her blood because when my daughter fainted, she was calm, professional, and immediately took action to take care of the situation. For what it is this is my favorite lab. The Indian gentleman has been there for a while and is always friendly no matter what kind of crowd this place attracts. All the phlebotomists I've had are great with getting access. I have to say for lab draws at any place you choose, always make an appointment, come on time and come hydrated. Worst experience checking in! They have new system (Was here 4 months ago, not this way). Got here on time, but line was out the door. No separate line for appointment. By the time I get to front of line, and check in on stationed iPad, it states since I am 10 minutes late, I am now considered a walk in. Mind you, that is just check in. Ladies behind counter, which have very short tempers, have not even taken paperwork yet. That comes later. Waited at least ten more minutes for that. read more

If i have to give a 0 review I would do that. One of the phlebotomist in this place is so unprofessional m, has no basic etiquette, pokes you multiple times and there is blood coming out every time she pokes but she can't find a vein. After sitting there quietly letting them do their job she blames you for not helping you. I was not greeted when i sat on that chair she just comes n pokes multiple times, shuts you if you are trying to tell her what helped the last time the blood was drawn by another phlebotomist. And now day 3 i am still in extreme pain on my hand and neck from a failed blood draw. Last I know it shouldn't be this painful. Quest diagnostics in this branch should hire better professional phlebotomist not someone who is rude, can't find your vein and ends up blaming you for no reason whatsoever. I have got my blood drawn in various places n its never been unsuccessful. Ps: The things she could say during my blood draw was: -You are not helping me -How did they give a IV before -You have to drink more water -You are not leaving (when i was done with her rudeness and after getting poked multiple times was trying to get up) These are the words she used when she doesn't even have a basic etiquette to talk to a person, there were not even any patients for her to be so frustrated and impatient This behavior is unacceptable. read more

My wait was only 20 minutes which is very reasonable considering how busy they were. The girl who drew my blood, Brenda, was extremely sweet and professional. Plus, there was almost no pain and I didn't even know she drew my blood. I definitely have to give them 5 stars today. However be prepared to wait if you are not on time. read more

Excellent service. I didn't have an appointment and I was still in and out within an hour. The nurse who helped me was Patricia and she was friendly, explained everything, and was professional and made my experience as painless as possible. The staff is friendly and efficient. I'm here for a glucose tolerance test. The front desk receptionist displayed an unacceptable attitude. I asked for the glucose drink and she gave me one from the fridge. I told her I'll get sick and have a stomachache if I drink anything cold (for medical reasons), and she became very impatient and kept telling me the drink will taste bad and I can't drink water even if I don't feel well after wards. And she stressed that I have to finish the drink in 5 minutes. (Having done this glucose testing before, I know I have more than 5 minutes to do it.) In fact, the room temperature ones are just stored in the cabinets above her head. I couldn't understand why people have such bad attitudes working in medical service industry when they are facing patients with some kind of sickness everyday. Com'on, people are coming in to have needles poked and blood drawn! I wouldn't say that's a pleasant experience in the beginning. Why can't they just make this a whole better experience by showing a little respect? Why can't they just appreciate having a healthy body while maintaining a positive and professional attitude toward the patients? read more

I am aware that I didn't have an appointment so I knew I was going to wait, I was fasting so and I wouldn't have time any other day so I decided to wait. They girl told me about 1 hour or to make appointment, so I chose to wait. 1 hour 25 minutes later I go inside to ask and I see my name says 2 minutes, while I'm waiting for her to help me it bumps to 5 minutes and I ask her, how much longer I've been waiting for 1 hour and 25 min and she's says that every 15 minutes there are appointments and that keeps bumping me, she tells me there are 3 people ahead of me, so I ask her if more people keep coming to their time will they keep bumping me? And I'm not very happy at this point but I'm keeping my cool and she answers with a snooty attitude "appointments patients have priority", I really wanted to say something. But I just left. You need to tell people that up front, "THAT THEY WILL BE BUMPED EVERY TIME AN APPOINTMENT COMES IN", plain and simple. I have been to other Quests without appointments and that has never happened. Needless to say I left and I made an appointment at a different center. And yes I know I didn't have an appointment but be clear about the expectations. I have never experienced such horrible service!!! The front office woman had an awful attitude. As I walked-in there was two list to sign in, one for the walk in and one with appointment. I also notice that there was a total of 2 people waiting, which one of them was called. I was the next person on the list, then I noticed that lots of people walked in with out appointment, well all the walking people with out appointment who arrived after us was called before us. When I told the woman in the front desk, she gave me all the excuses as possible, but she could not explain why all the walking patience who came after us was seeing before us. I notice also she treats some people better then others. We went there twice and we waited for over 1 hr, we left with out being called. Great Experience, and Tracy is THE BEST ! I used to go to another Quest location nearby (also located on Barranca) to get my blood work done, and my experience hasn't always been so satisfactory. Somehow I have some rather tiny veins that are hidden quite deep underneath my skin, so it typically costs me a long time as well as a lot of anxiety to have my blood drawn out in sufficient amounts needed for the labs, adding to the fact that the staff at that location is not experienced enough to competently deal with tough cases like this. I'm so glad that I finally came to the right place - this location is simply amazing! Not only are there very few patients and thus a minimal wait time, but the quality and efficiency of customer service here are just beyond description. The staff here upholds professional standards to the highest level by treating patients with so much care, respect, and attention. I had Tracy to do my blood work and she is THE BEST!! I almost anticipated my visit to last for some 20 to 30 minutes owing to the difficulty I experienced getting my tests done at another Quest location in the past. But all these negative feelings/anticipations were completely gone this time because of Tracy's remarkable expertise and the efficiency and precision with which she performed the work. She was able to accurately locate my veins upon first feeling my arms, and after seeing my uneasiness with my past experience, reassured me that things will all go very smoothly this time, as they really did ! The whole process of her confirming my information, preparing for the lab, and finally drawing the blood from my arm took less than 5 minutes. What an exceptional experience, and I just can't thank Tracy enough for the wonderful job she did! If you are also experiencing any pain or difficulty with your blood tests, I strongly recommend coming to this location as Tracy is sure to make it a fast, smooth, and painless experience for you!!! read more

Went for a drug test for a new job. They said they didn't do it at that time and sent me to Laguna Hills 22 miles away. Get there and they have no affiliation with Quest nor do they do the test. Their rude and they never verified the type of test I needed, sent me to the wrong place and to top it off I have to go back. read more

If you used Google to find this place, please note that the office is within the medical building (suite 120). The staff is professional and one of the phlebotomist my clients had the pleasure of meeting was very courteous and understanding of their nervousness. She asked them what level she wanted their pain to be on a scale of 1 to 5, and of course both of them chose 1. Surprisingly, when she pricked them, both of them said it barely hurt. Unfortunately, not everyone is as nice as the kind phlebotomist. I returned to this location just a couple hours later the same day and apparently some type of office brawl occurred during lunch hour because everyone seemed to be in a sour mood. The receptionist was very dry and acted as though he couldn't help me with the proper documentation I needed for work. The secondary phlebotomist was also very dry and did not help my client to calm down or relax AT ALL. He seemed to be in a rush and told my 7 year old client "So I can poke you once or twice. Once if you don't move around a lot or scream, but ill have to do it twice if you don't. Your choice dude." I was shocked. I'm not sure if I'll be returning to this location or not. read more

The staff here is completely tactless. Firstly, I walk into a crowded lobby where music is loudly playing and the front desk clerk is highly irritated and barking at people. She couldn't answer people's simple questions without being aggravated and raising her voice. When I approached her, she was patient enough, but her treatment of other people is very off-putting. Secondly, I had an appointment, but it seems to make no difference, as they run late anyway. Lastly, the technician (female, Caucasian, curly hair) is rude. I was asked to sign a form and write "myself," but to confirm, I asked, "Did you say 'self' or 'myself,'" and she responded, "It only matters if you care about proper English." Um, okay. I'm just asking for confirmation for what was said - what's with the implication that I don't know English? What a tasteless comment to make. Also, presumably because of the doctor that ordered my test, she asked, "What kind of cancer do you have?" That's a huge assumption. I don't have cancer, and even if I did, I don't consider it polite to ask me point blank which kind I have. I will avoid this place like the plague. Loved this place. The wait was very short and Patricia was great. I hate needles but she used the butterfly one and I barely even felt it. She even asked me if I wanted to lie down while she drew blood so that I would be extra comfortable but I didn't need to. She distracted me the whole way through and it was done before I knew it.
