I thought I'd try a different location this time. This place was really busy! I had an appointment but they were about 15min behind. You wait in the waiting area and your place in line shows up on the screen. My tester was able to find my blood line which I appreciated. Since last time at the other location, I had no luck. I did dress warmer and wore socks this time, lol. I would come here again. read more

Made an appointment, arrived on time, and got blood work done promptly. Five stars for this. While the technician was friendly, patient, and pleasant to interact with, I was very concerned to see her picking her teeth with her fingers while completing paperwork in front of me. Hygiene is extremely important to me, especially in a healthcare setting, and this behavior raised concerns about cleanliness and professionalism. read more

I was so worried and stress coming here after reading a lot of bad reviews but my experience was excellent!!! Check in process in iPad was so quick and simple... I believe a lot of people don't really know how to check in and don't read instructions that's why there's bad reviews... I did have an appointment which makes it easier about 10 min total being there, in and out. The person who did my bloodwork was great, he was very friendly and he knew what he was doing, didn't feel anything and he was so quick! I noticed a person being all confused thinking he had an appt but he did not, the nurse was trying to help him but it seemed that this person did not speak English... so I recommend you make an appointment online... simple :):) read more

Went there this morning for some bloodw. Had a good experience with Ashley. The whole process took less than five minutes

I had a good experience here with Megan. I made an appointment on the Quest app to get bloodwork that was ordered by my doctor. I chose this office because they had the most early morning times available on the day that I wanted. When you get here, you check in with the automated machine. It was easy for me to navigate, but I can see how it may be difficult for some. Megan was the nurse who called me in to take my blood. She was friendly and explained everything to me. She always checked to see if I was okay while drawing my blood. I was in and out of the office in 15 minutes. read more

I like Quest Diagnostics for their convenient locations and ease of scheduling appointments on their website and ease of check in, both in the clinic and by mobile app. It's one of the reasons I prefer going to this lab vendor. The staff are always nice. The only thing that they need to improve is their wait time. For a 8:40am visit on 4/15/26 at the Irvine office on Barranca, I wanted seen until almost 1/2hr later. That's a long wait for a confirmed appointment. read more

Made an appointment for 2 PM today/Tuesday. Everything went exceptionally well. Danny was exceedingly professional, excellent at patient care and an expert at taking blood. I understand he floats from one quest location to another. I'll have to request him by name, if possible, when coming back next time. Thank you, Danny and thank you quest diagnostics! Don D. read more

Worse quest location ever Rude inhumane and extremely careless staff Even with an appointment and no one in the lobby I see staff walking around and doing nothing to help earlier (just picking up a container) When taking blood another time they poked my daughter at least 4 times and the while my daughter crying showed no sign of empathy and in fact yelled at my daughter to sit still read more

Time seems to be the most important thing here. I came in for a pickup for a 24 hour urine collection, but she was ready to draw blood? When I corrected her nicely she returned with the storage container but no way to collect the specimen. I had to ask her for a cup which turned out to be too small. I had to redo my appointment and met a different tech in the office who told me I needed to redo the test. She was very kind and knowledgeable, so you'll have to decide take your own chances on who you get. Also, receptionists and customer service representatives are nonexistent. read more

I had routine annual blood work done here as part of my physical, and will opt for Quest every time now versus the doctors office. I am squirmish when it comes to needles and was really dreading this, especially as I have small veins, but the person who helped me was so good at what she does that I barely felt it, and she took a few viles, too. She got my vein in one shot and the appt was over within a few mins. I booked through their app and they had plenty of times open throughout the day, including early morning and lunch. Highly recommend if you need an appt convenient for your schedule. The results were available online and on the app quickly within a few days, making it easier for both my doctor and myself. read more

Had a super quick and easy experience at this quest location! I made an appointment online and was seen only a few minutes after checking in. My phlebotomist was very kind and professional. I have a history of syncope (passing out) during blood draws so I was taken to a room with a chair that allowed me to lay down. I usually find bloodwork very uncomfortable, but this time it was painless and over before I knew it. Would definitely recommend this location, but would make an appointment to avoid a long wait time on busier days. read more

This is my 2nd visit in 3 months and it was great! Parking is close and easy. Check-in is easy (I pre-registered). I was taken back within 3 minutes of arriving. Bridget was so nice and friendly. I was in and out within 10 minute read more

I cant say i usually have great experiences at labs but I did at this one. Been here twice now and no problems, everything right on time. Thats good considering i usually have a big lab requisition order. My last visit a tech named Damon helped me and everything was smooth and efficient. Place is also very clean and orderly which is more than i can say for other labs. Definitely recommend these guys at THIS location. Not sure about others read more

I made a last minute appointment yesterday and it happened to be the last slot for the location. My doctor sent over the bloodwork request after I made the appointment. I arrived earlier than my appointment time, checked in at the screen, and sat down to wait. The waiting area was almost full. Then I realized there were a bunch of standby appointments in the room. I happened to be behind one other person with an appointment. It turned out that they were 20 minutes behind on appointments and I was worried I'd be going over my lunch hour. They made an announcement that they would only take standbys if an appointment failed to show. Some people got up and left at that point. I was called in 10 minutes after my appointment time and out 10 minutes later. I made it back to the office with 0 minutes to spare. DEFINITELY make an appointment or you might be turned away. read more

The people working here are unbelievably rude and not compassionate. You think drawing blood is fun? Your job is to make people comfortable. My 1 year had to get blood drawn and she gets anxious. I took a picture of her to show her because she like looking at her own pictures. The lady and the guy freaked out. "Sir! Sir! It is against policy to video tape!!" I said I'm not video taping. I was taking a picture. He said "I see your phone! I see your phone!" I happily showed him I wasn't video taping and told him to calm down. His energy is freaking out my child. Then the lady was like "well! You took a picture of me and I didn't give you consent! It's against company policy to have you taking a picture of me without my consent!" Ummm... I took a picture of my daughter and your back happen to be in it. I didn't take a picture of your face. The whole experience was just terrible. As my daughter sat there crying, they rather waste time with this non-sense. Also, there should be a big sign that says "no camera or video taping" if it's such a policy. In addition, don't allow for a 3:30pm appointment if you don't want to be there to take care of the patients. The guy told me "we close in 30 minutes so we can't wait around." Wait around for what? We are here on time. Sitting in the chair. What are we waiting for? It was just such a poor experience. It's sad to see how labcorp and quest monopolize this industry which forces people to use them. Not allowing competition empowers their bad behavior. I attached the photo for reference. They freaked out over this. read more

Arrived at 11:31 am for a 11:40 appt and it's now 12:22 pm. Quest is THE WORST... and this is not the worst Quest in Irvine. Why do I bother coming on time? There aren't even enough seats in the waiting room so I've been standing the whole time and have fun listening to all the elderly talking on loudly speaker phone and the young kids playing game on their tablets too. Do your self a favor and bring your headphones and prepare to wait over 40 minutes. ABSOLUTE WORST! read more

the kiosks they use to check you in at self service (there is other method) don't work and freeze up. there is no live in person help as they are all working in the back to take bloodwork. read more

I got blood drawn Halloween weekend and was scared after looking at these horrific reviews. Thankfully, there were not tricks here, only treats hehe. The waiting room was clean, and they require masks. I didn't have one so they gave me one. My appointment was on a Friday @ 9:30 am and I was seen at 10:02am. You can check in online via text, or check in at the tablets on the wall. Staff was friendly. read more

this QD on 4050 baranca sure 120 is very inefficient. Long waits even with an appointments. one staff didn't wait for me to manage the lab order from my doctor's office and sent me home. read more

Not sure why the reviews are so bad. I've had one of the best experiences of my life getting blood drawn. See, getting blood drawn has always been a nightmare for me, for I'm what the technicians usually call a "hard draw" (I've also been called a "roller"). That means the technician usually ends up poking me multiple times in both arms without any success and finally resorts to using a butterfly on my knuckle. So I was almost floored when Ashley got it done on her first try! I would've given this place a 5-star review just for that. I also found the newly renovated facility very clean and welcoming. And the check-in process was super-easy. I got to the lab ten minutes before my appointment time (as I'd been instructed), and I got called in witin five minutes of arriving there, which means I got in five minutes BEFORE my appointment time. And since Ashley got it on her first attempt, I was out of the lab within five minutes. Yes, I actually got out of the lab right at my appointment time! Last but not least, I was told the results would be available within three to five business days. My appointment was on Friday morning; the results were available Monday morning. Unbelievable. I will never go anywhere else now that I've found this place. Highly recommended! read more

I'm not sure why it got bad reviews but I wanted to share my experience! I needed a same-day bloodwork and I was able to schedule a same-day appointment through their online site. Super easy and you can even upload your insurance before hand. I wanted to give a shout-out to Fariba because she was able to draw my blood super quick and it was nearly painless. I def recommend! read more

After 5 days of drawing blood, I have never encountered such marks on my hands before! The process was rough and not at all gentle, likely because the phlebotomist was in a hurry and displayed a lack of care. Don't remember her name read more

It's the worst! You can't get an appointment. The login system has no digital insurance card option, and you can't get past that page. There is no customer service to ask for help. Finally, when someone comes to call a name to draw blood, they will tell you say no insurance. It's an awful system, and there in no customer service. We need options!!! read more

Arrived today at 11:30 and they were completely closed. Knocked on the door many times and called... nothing. This is the worst quest I've been too! More than once they would call someone that made an appointment but never showed up, then they would call for the next person on standby. But when the person on standby was not here, instead of calling for the next standby she just walks back inside. Waste of absolute time for everyone! read more

Ashley made my visit today super seamless. She was so kind and empathetic even though I had a rather large order with many tests from my doctor. And despite me having tiny veins that some phlebotomists struggle with, Ashley got the vein on the first try swiftly and painlessly. I was in and out in 15 minutes (with appointment). This Quest service center is miles ahead of the others in Irvine in terms of efficiency, cleanliness and professionalism. Huge thank you again to Ashley! read more

Go to a different location. Down the street or the sand canyon location is great. I generally don't book here because I have never had a good experience here. Even prior to the automated system, I've avoided this location. I decided to book here because I had a time sensitive test and it was the only time/lab available. I won't go into the details but it's time and temperature sensitive. I was five minutes late for my appointment and they told me (after I finally got a hold of someone) that I had lost my appointment. The staff were telling other people they were running behind. At a prior appointment , I was given a canister for the sample I was never told I needed to make an appointment. I was told it would be more convenient for the staff if I did. When I informed one of the staff members this was the case she disregarded me and blew me off. I honestly don't think a person has been so rude to me and I've working in customer service. Another staff member simply walked away while I was talking to her. I tried to ask if I should leave or go to another lab but was ignored. It's seems the culture here is to be rude because I was not the only person being ignored or treated rudely. Finally one of the staff listened to me and she told me the test would be fine but didn't seem to know what test I was talking about when she asked me what it was. Knowing that so many people have had issues with quest not handing this test properly, I was worried. During this I kept looking online at other locations and finally one opened up at sand canyon. Go there. The staff are helpful to everyone. Even as I was leaving a staff member was helping an elderly person. I know it's weird to have a preference on lab but it gives an idea of how much either myself or family I care for are at these places. read more

Extremely rude and nasty. Had problems at two Quest clinics in Irvine, both within a block of each other. If you don't have an appointment they bark at you to wait, without any further info, and don't even treat you like you're a human being. Wouldn't answer any questions, and were just extremely rude when I was just trying to find out what was going on. Despite being told we could come back, and not have to wait, that was not the case. I'm sure things are more stressful with COVID going on, but they could really use some manners and learn to be more patient with people. They didn't even have a receptionist, you have to wait for the clinicians to answer anything, and they can't be bothered to give you a minute of their time between patients. Don't bother coming to any Quest location if you can help it, try to have your doctor send you somewhere else. read more

Note to myself and to every other healthcare provider who draws blood in the home and needs to drop off at a quest diagnostics.... this is not the place to do it they flat out ignore you ...there's no one at the desk ...you can stand there and wait forever ...even with a stat blood draw you will not get any attention. read more

I had my blood drawn today and Isabel is literally THE BEST. Kind, compassionate and wonderful. Easy check in from a text and then Isabel was who drew my blood. Avoid coming here on on a Saturday morning by 9:00 it was swamped. They are insanely busy and there is no air in the place. They have two front desk gals that are working hard to get everyone's copays collected and paperwork handed off. You come in to check in on a iPad-like device and then your name gets posted on the giant TV waiting room board. The estimated wait time was accurate at two hours for me. I risked leaving and coming back to take my dog to the park and get fresh air, but it was so worth it. Way to hot and way to many people waiting in every chair, standing crowding the lobby, and sitting in the hallways. read more
