Avoid coming here on on a Saturday morning by 9:00 it was swamped. They are insanely busy and there is no air in the place. They have two front desk gals that are working hard to get everyone's copays collected and paperwork handed off. You come in to check in on a iPad-like device and then your name gets posted on the giant TV waiting room board. The estimated wait time was accurate at two hours for me. I risked leaving and coming back to take my dog to the park and get fresh air, but it was so worth it. Although I had to wait around 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time (Monday 10:45 am), the office was clean and all of the staff were friendly. I personally prefer this location over the other Quest on Barranca. Phuong was the phlebotomist who drew my blood. She was very nice and professional. She noticed I had a lot of bruising on my arm from previous blood draws/injections from my recent hospitalization. She was kind enough to put a bag of warm water on my arm so it would be easier for her to find my vein. The whole process was quick and painless. Thank you so much!!! read more

I do blood work every 6 months and pay around $5-$10 for my blood work and today the person in front said today your patient responsibility will be $199. HAHAHA, yea right!! I asked her several questions and she said ok no worries we will send you bill. Then on their tv playing in the waiting room their ad came on saying that you can pay upfront but it's just an estimate on your responsibility and you can choose to get an invoice on the exact amount ? And so after I did the test and came back, I had to go through the check-in system which had placed me an hour from when I had came just for me to drop it off. There was another list for drop offs and so I had to check in with that but turned out, I still needed a regular appointment which was very confusing because I don't understand why they had it in the first place. so then I waited a WHOLE HOUR just to be told I needed to redo my test. I told them I have a very tiny thin vein and they can't use the regular needle and no one even listen so here I am after three times by swinging needle on my vein and nothing . I usually go to the one off Waterworks and Laguna Canyon Rd but We got off early From work and was able to get into this location at a sooner time which was great because I had been fasting since bed time 11pm until after this appointment 2pm. All I mostly saw here was bad reviews so I was a little worried. The building seems to be under construction and it wasn't as nice of a set up as the other location BUT I found my technician extremely polite and enjoyed speaking with her during my time there. I was in and out of there in about 20 mins and was taken on time for my appointment. People make appointments and some get upset when an appointment is taken before you because that is typically the rule of any establishment. Appointments before walk ins. I used this location on February 4th to obtained blood work and blood test for a very serious medical condition. 4 days later after visiting my doctors appointment I still have not received my test results nor has my doctor. Due to the stressful nature of the results of my test I decided to visit the testing lab to inquire on when I will receive my results. I met with Sarah at the front desk who was extremely rude and simply kept repeating to me to "check the app" he response was check that app that's all I can tell you. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was left sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes before Lea leaving. Stay away ....... And BTW the facility seems dirty. This review is for Tammy at 4950 barranca in Irvine location. Tammy is awesome. Tammy went beyond her customer service unlike an floater who happened to be there on Friday June 30th and panicked when I asked for supervisor. The floater brushed me off and Didn't want to look into the form and literally told me she doesn't have all day to figure out the doctor's form. She wasn't pleasant or caring. Anyhow, Tammy figured out my doctors note, printed a better sheet for the lab and took me in with a smile and without hesitation. This is what an awesome person would do yo help sick people. Tammy deserves a raise and pat on the back for caring for patients at Quest. Ask for Tammy if you go to that location. Arrive 10:24 am. Checked in on computer. Finally called my name to verify my insurance card and doctor order at 11:38am. It's over 1 hour.... not sure how much longer I need to wait till doing blood. The room is Super small with over 30 people waiting. ... really need improvement!!!! It's 12:16pm now. I am still here. I doubt if they missed me in the queue and dealt with others orders before me. But anyway, I was finally called at 12:20pm. They poked me 4 times. After 4 tubes , my blood stopped and they tried 2 ladies and another 3 pokes and warm pad and finally got 4 more tubes done. I asked if that's all the tubes they needed, she didn't answer me. Just asking me to sign paper. I didn't expect to wait over 2 hours so I did not bring any water and I was dehydrated maybe so no more blood came out after the first 4 tubes. Please make some announcements telling customers the expected wait time so we know what to expect. OVER 2 hour waiting is not only "please sit down and we will call your name". I should taken the time to read the reviews before going to this lab. This is the most unprofessional business/Lab, I have ever been to. The women at the front count was just heart wrenching with the way she treated not just me but every single person that attended this facility on 10/08/2018. I didn't catch her name but I can tell you. You made us all feel nothing short from being in a line of cattle. The facility has over 90 complaints and it's obvious this company doesn't care about the well being of its clients otherwise it would attempted to stop having anymore complaints. This company and its employees do not care for your well being do not go to this facility. I am a newly diagnosed diabetic and I was at this facility to have blood work and left there in a lot a pain after what should of been a simple blood work appointment. Look at my picture they tell you just how trained and professional these employees are. Do not do use this lab. Their bathrooms were disgusting and this was a place where a person was suppose to collect samples. It is only a matter a time where sample and blood collections will be contaminated and maybe even people. I urgent Corporte office to contact me. Really bad about posting, notifying customers of lab hours on holidays. Called their own message had regular hours listed for Christmas Eve. Their website, phone app and Yelp did too. Thought they must close a little earlier on a big holiday so I'd be safe to arrive before they close for lunch at 1pm. I got there at 12:01pm and door was locked with a sign on it saying the hours that day were 6am to 12pm. People were still inside though so I knocked and knocked. Nothing. At 12:03pm a customer came out and said he wasn't supposed to let me in. I just acknowledged him and walked in as I had been fasting for 14 hours for the test. There were still many people inside but even though I explained I had been fasting and showed them my call from night prior to check if they'd be open before I began fasting and even though it would have taken only 3 minutes tops for them to test me, a rude and aggressive man refused me and kept saying we're closed. I test at this lab every three months and have been a customer for years, which telling them also did no good. The man told me to call corporate and gave me their number. Merry Christmas to him too. How is a fasting customer to know the holiday hours if they only post them on a paper sign on the front door the day of? Unprofessional and irritating. ! Did call corporate and spoke with somebody who told me I would receive a call back in 24 to 48 hours. I am still waiting for that call back. Guess they have nothing to say for them selves. Well it took a review on Yelp to get contacted. I will not be contacting them however as my time is priceless and they have used enough of it. read more

Quest Diagnostics is a SCAM. They billed to my employer, not to insurance. Called multiple times to get it fixed. They don't give you a call reference number or anything in email. Further they sent the bill to collection agency. It was a preventive lab work and is fully covered by my insurance but due to the UNETHICAL BILLING PRACTICES BY QUEST DIAGNOSTICS, customers like me have to go through hard time for no reason and it is impacting my credit, mental health, work and life. read more

This place seems like a hit or miss. I came here twice during my lunch break on a weekday and there wasn't a wait either time, which is a bonus. One of the days, there was a sign that said they were out to lunch from 1-2pm, but wasn't there the other time, so I suggest either avoid that window or call first to make sure they're open. My first experience here for drawing blood was horrible. The technician was an older lady named Patricia, who talked a lot, and seemed a little hyper, which made me nervous. The needle insertion was painful, and she jostled the needle with each vial change, which made it worse. After the blood drawing, my arm bruised in the area and was very tender over the next 3 days. I've never had a worse blood drawing experience in my life. I reluctantly went back a few weeks later for further testing, and prayed for another person. Luckily, I had Ashley, a young tech in her early 20s. Her youth made me nervous because I wondered how much experience she could possibly have, but the moment the needle inserted, I was no longer nervous. Ashley was calm and soft spoken, and the process was just as soothing as she was. I mentioned her technique and she said I could always request for her if she's there. It's been a few hours since the drawing, and I don't feel a thing. Ashley is highly recommended, and if I have to come back again, I will make sure she's there otherwise I won't be coming at all. read more

My mom is 83 years old and has stage 3 cancer. She has difficulty walking and uses a walker. She had an appointment on 2/19 at 12:45 but they arrived 5 minutes late , the lady at front desk refused to see her and turned my sister and my mom away. The staff have no compassion, no empty. You should not be working at a health facility if you have no understanding. So sad. The quest diagnostics at Tustin were wonderful and compassionate. read more

With Quest Diagnostics its a hit or miss. I've been to a few other locations in OC and so far my visit here as been the best of all. They did a great job with the set up and making sure to follow social distancing guideline. The place looks clean and well staffed unlike some other locations. I did a walk-in today and I barely had to wait for my turn. The lady who drawn my blood Phuong was very nice and professional. After reading the other 1 star reviews it's clear that this company does not care about the patient experience. There are at least 4 phlebotomists on staff today. However on average they serve one person at a time. It's very clear that they do not want walk-in patients because the wait is ridiculously long. If no one is being served, why can't a person waiting be served in between appointments? It's ridiculous at this point. I'm literally on the waiting list because a "website glitch" caused my appointment to get cancelled and I was already here. Had I known it would take this long I wouldn't have waited. In the last HOUR they have called ZERO people from the wait list when at most there are only 2 people checked in for appointments and again at least FOUR phlebotomists here. What are they doing in between appointments?!!! It seems like they are purposely waiting until the next appointment to serve anyone. At this point, I guess I have to ride it out. To make a long story short, on two different occasions half of my blood work results did not appear done! However they did charge my insurance for full different exams on two different occasions! I looked at Google then did not update closing time today at 4 pm when I got there around 430 pm. office still has staff there 2 staff saw me who wearing white unifor but right the way ask me to leave when I told them I needed to drop off lab result needed for pt tomorrow, but they did not care still ask me to leave instead it is closed at 4 pm . Wow 96 of 164 reviews one star! Whole heartedly agree...make it 97. In the big picture this company puts profits over people and has no accountability. They clearly do not care for the patients' experience. Computer check in only and no one to answer any questions at all. The staff person we encountered (older Caucasian lady with glasses) was outrageously rude and uncompasionate when she came out front to deal with UPS and my daughter dared to ask her a simple question. Apparently treating people with common decency and civility is not a requirement of the job. We arrived at 7 am when they opened, and their appointment board was scheduled for 5 people every 10 minutes. Only two lab workers were coming to call people in about every 10 minutes. By 7:20 they were already falling behind, due to gross over scheduling. We waited for 40 minutes, we not seen and there was no one to answer a simple question regarding an issue with the scheduling board. My disabled and chronically ill daughter left without her labs in tears, after her encounter with the verbally abusive woman. In our experience it is a work atmosphere where the staff are over-worked, and they take out their frustrations on the patients with no consequences. read more

Terrible lab and there is no one at the lab or at the register to help you. They have made it automated and self registration by a stupid machine. If you walk-in without a prior appointment, and starting self registration, the stupid machine takes all of your information including your driver's license, insurance information. and the end, the message is that they have no more appointments.
