I originally went to Quest to get blood drawn for my 8 year old son and had a terrible experience. The phlebotomist told me to hold my son down, while another technician held his arm. It took 3 adults to hold my son. They tried to draw blood, but my son was screaming, crying, and moving too much that they couldn't collect enough blood for testing. The phlebotomist at Quest told me to go a place that specializes in children, that has restraints because my son was too strong. It was such a traumatizing experience that I was ready to tell the doctor that I can't go through with this. Then I found Rania, she said she is good with kids and does not restrain them. Her method is to talk to the kids and gain their trust to let her draw blood. I was very skeptical, but Rania assured me if my son said no, then she would not make an attempt. Rania talked to my son, he agreed, and she was able to draw blood without anyone holding him down or crying. It was the most unbelievable moments to witness, I don't know how she does it, but she is very gifted and talented. Rania is one of the best phlebotomist and I 100% recommend. I recently used Single Poke's mobile phlebotomy services for the first time, as I had a doctor who'd ordered a lab kit outside of Quest and LabCorp. Rania Malas, who is the phlebotomist, could not have been more helpful or accommodating. She was really kind about answering all of my first-time questions ahead of time, and she made herself super available via phone, text, and email should any further questions or issues arise. Her pricing is fair and transparent and competitive with other comparable providers in the area that I've used. Booking was very simple, convenient, and straightforward. She easily scheduled a draw that would fit within the narrow mailing constraints set by the outside lab, accommodating my own unique scheduling and draw location preferences (outside in my yard) also. She showed up on time, in scrubs, with her fully stocked phlebotomy kit (showing that she was prepared for any occasion), and in a mask (without my having to make any advance request for it), which I really appreciated as an immunocompromised patient. She had a competent, professional, friendly demeanor that immediately put me at ease. Despite collapsing veins, she was able to quickly and successfully locate one for the draw and fill the multiple tubes, using a butterfly needle (at my request) so as not to collapse any more veins. (Her draw was very gentle, did not leave any bruising, and left the vein in tact, which rarely happens at Quest.) She very promptly took care of packaging up and mailing the kit immediately upon completion of the draw, texting me the tracking details as soon as she'd left it with FedEx and calling to follow up and make sure I'd received the tracking information text. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience, from beginning to end, and I will so happily book with her the next time that I have another kit that needs completion. I'd highly recommend her services to anyone who has kits that they need to complete and have mailed out or to anyone who has difficulties of any kind with Quest and Labcorp (whether it's just matter of inconvenient scheduling offerings versus the ability to have someone come to the comfort of your home, at a time convenient for you, or whether it may be a disability, mobility, health, or other accommodation issue).
