In doing so the lady explained where to go as the building had changed and that they would be open to 2PM. So my wife with a fever and bad chest congestion showed up to the doors locked on Christmas Eve. Now she may have to go to an emergency room, if it's covid is that where you wanted to here to be! She drove an extra 30 minutes to be seen to find the doors closed. Thanks for hanging a sick lady out in the cold. I know you don't get praises for being on call during the Holidays, as I was before I retired always expected to work, and worked more during Covid-19. But you never direct a person, in need of medical care to come and have the doors closed on them. My wife will not spend the money for the ER, so she will have to wait till Monday. There are no words I can express to explain my disappointment! I would like to thank Berry in Greenville - Urgent Care for helping us find a place my wife could get to before they closed, as they did not know that Breese is useless.

At this facility they let their employees be rude, hang up on patients as well as make excuses for…read moretheir employees behavior. Susan who works as a phone receptionist for this office takes her job to personal to a level to argue with patients and hang up on them when the patients are expressing their concerns and Susan did not agree with them. This is not the first encounter I have had with Susan not liking my opinion and arguing back & hanging up on me. I called to fill my husband's diabetic medicine that I had put in a request for at our local pharmacy 2 days prior (hints: why I waited till today to go pick up also due to the holiday). I go to the pharmacy to see if it is ready. Only to be told our doctor's office has not approve it yet (our doctor's office will only fill scripts after 4pm each day) , so with that said another script request was put in from the pharmacy. I called the doctor's office to express this and SUSAN proceeds to comment "that this how we do things and sorry if you don't like it." "Also we just came back from a holiday." That is when I stated "yesterday would be the paper work from the holiday and which your office doesn't fill scripts till after 4pm so that means the holiday log should have already been worked."Not only did SUSAN express her rude tone of opinion back to me and hang up on me,but also continued to ignore 15 of my phone calls back to back. I then get a call from a non-registered number (while on hold with the office) and another lady who tells me "the phone systems are having issues" (which then means the office phones have had problems for 6weeks now also unprofessional) Mrs/Miss Susan is very unprofessional and rude as well as disrespectful to patients. I have not seen a doctor's office handle situations in such an ill unprofessional manner. I would not recommend this office to no one and I may be finding another doctor for my family of 7 since they are not for helping people and allowing their employees treat/talk to the patients and to ignore their patients. If Susan has acted and spoke to me this way just think how many others she has done this too and no one has spoke up.

Before my appointment, I was sent a plethora of pages to fill out as requested and brought them the morning of my appointment. I, like many people, read the fine print. Upon entering, I had to have a photo taken to load internally to help prevent fraud, which I kindly declined. If you have a credit on your account of $5 or less they expect you to write it off. I wrote, "I want any amount refunded". I also had to submit a credit card to keep on file. "Who in their right mind gives anyone a blank check to charge at any time?". I put a line through that and initialed it. Christy handed me another copy of that page and told me I could not write anything in, that I just had to initial it. She was insistent I initial the Workman's Compensation Form. I declined. She said, "Everyone has to initial it". I'm 70 years old, tell me why. The last straw was when I had to give my SS#. Again I was told, everyone gives their SS#. Christy said it was very secure and I'm thinking, computers are hacked every day. I said "I will leave before giving that information", and Christy's response was "Well, it will probably come to that". I wonder how many people don't read the fine print and don't realize what freewill they give businesses. As someone who has been a victim of credit card fraud more than once and identity theft, there are some things that need protection. Dr. Bell may be a very nice man, I wouldn't know as I couldn't get past the office staff. I have never in my 70 years had to have a mug shot taken upon entering a physician's office. I got the feeling the office staff was more concerned about getting their money than caring for people. First impressions are lasting.

This urgent care is woefully understaffed. There was only one person working the entire time I was…read morethere. She tried mightily to handle customer service, testing, sanitation, coordination with off-site staff, and more--and I do commend her for her efforts. But this is no way to run a health clinic. I was really taken aback by the fact that, once I accepted a telehealth appointment with a nurse practitioner, I was expected to discuss all of my symptoms and treatment options using the receptionist's phone--in full earshot of everyone in the waiting room (though there were only a couple people; one was a minor). I question the legality of practicing medicine in this manner, ie, who is supervising the clinic if no doctors are on site? Are nurse practitioners in Illinois licensed to provide care and prescribe without direct supervision? Furthermore, while the nurse practitioner I spoke with was as kind as can be, their medical advice wasn't helpful. For an unknown respiratory issue I described, they prescribed over-the-counter meds including a sleep aid (although they knew I already had an Rx sleep aid from my own doctor), and a common motion sickness remedy (although they knew I already had an Rx anti-nausea med from my own doctor). They also prescribed a cough suppressant that was just plain ineffective. I don't doubt their intentions, but when I was able to see my own doctor days later, he was frustrated that they didn't prescribe any antibiotics (not knowing whether my infection was viral or bacterial), and at the OTC choices I was given. Moreover, he immediately ordered a chest x-ray, which found that I had already progressed to acute pneumonia. I would return to this urgent care only if--like the day I went there--I had no other choice. And that would be silly, considering there's a reputable hospital right across the street.
