Great staff! I've been here twice & I've noticed that they have the friendliest staff of all locations. The location is clean & modern (and CLEAN). Even with an appointment I've waited about 20-30min. The second time I came in they told me they didn't have an appointment for me, which kinda sucked, I made the apt for 2:30pm. Came in at 1:40. Awful. The women who work here are always rude, they must all hate their job. Like another reviewer had said, I always here them say things like "shoot me" "i need to get out of here" I always come at 630 and am one of the first 3 people in the morning and bc I have hard veins i normally leave around 715 bc the girl who can do hard veins decides to go stick 4 or 5 people before coming to the person who has been waiting. Its not just this location either every location I have gone to is like this. Update: last time i went in the girl sticking ne said i owed $118 and could not get my bloodwork without paying that. I offered to pay half she said no. So then as she is clicking through the screen the screen pops up with $60. She chanhed the number to $118 (im assuminh that means my min payment due was $60..which is what i had asked to pay) then i told her i was in a hurry and was the 3rd person there but had been waiting a half an hour. So she takes my card and VERY SLOWLY typed my card info into the computer ... Right next to her was the card swipe plugged into the computer with a green light again just an ASSUMPTION but im pretty positive the card swipe worked. So I walk up to sign in and one lady looks at me and then says loudly to her co-worker, "Somebody just shoot me now, please." Nasty ghetto attitude. Can't believe they would hire and retain such a rotten personality. I work in the medical field and realize how hectic it can get, and readily admit I have uttered these exact words when the bazillionth patient has innocently strolled in, blissfully unaware of the high volume and ensuing chaos. But absolutely never would I have lowered my standards of professionalism and simple human empathy enough to say such a thing within earshot of aforementioned innocent patient, much less say it practically to his/her face. This is how they "greet" their patients? Wow. Ubelievably, I once had a dangerously abnormal lab result and it was only when I contacted my Dr and demanded to see my labs (over a month later) that anyone even LOOKED at my labs. Apparently Quest does nothing when labs are dangerously abnormal. I realize my Dr bears more responsibility for the oversight of course, but working for a different health system I assumed all irregular labs are "flagged" or otherwise brought to the health care provider's attention. Came in 7 minutes prior to closing. They were WONDERFUL. No complaints, no pushback. A man walked in 2 minutes prior to closing and everyone was great. On a Saturday. No attitudes. I have been coming here for 8 years and NEVER have had issues. Maybe what some folks forget what you put out is what you get back. Labs are always busiest at lunch during the week. I go early AM, or on Sat and usual wait time isn't long. This time took 15 minutes total. Expectation drives your reviews. So be real. If you have another appt, dont take 5 to get your labs done. read more

Quick tip for folks: Make an appointment. It seems to help. After bringing my elderly father in 3 times for blood work and having to move his cardiologist appointment because we could not get the lab work done - I decided to make an appointment rather than do a walk-in. It sure helped. My experiences before this were ridiculous. I don't understand what is wrong with Quest so can only speculate. When we went to the Dignity lab that used to be at that location, there were never any issues. So I have to believe it is a staffing issue. The two times we tried (unsuccessfully) to get in for simple blood work were a complete disaster. The first time we waited an hour and then walked out. People were quite angry in the waiting room which was completely full by the way. People had been there almost 2 hours waiting. The staff behind the desk were rude and it appeared that had ONE PHLEBOTOMIST on staff even in the "in demand" early morning!!! These people are fasting and some are in their 80's and 90's!!! How hard can it be to do a resource analysis and realize you are understaffed???? The second time we walked in there was almost no place to sit. We waited. And waited and waited. People were incensed. Several walked out. Some tried to talk to the girl behind the desk and were treated rudely. One guy even asked for her name before he walked out. After about an hour, my dad and I had to leave too. I do work for a living in addition to caring for him. We had not even been called to the desk to give his insurance information. No movement whatsoever and people kept piling in. There again appeared to be one person drawing blood. What the heck Quest?! Today we had an appointment and that is why I do recommend it. It is not fail-safe from what I heard on our other days - sometimes you have to wait 30 minutes or so even with an appointment but today went well. Waited 15 minutes. However, again my dad said there was one person drawing blood. Quest - you need to get your stuff together and remember that you do need to treat people well. Do some resource analytics and staff appropriately. I feel bad for the front desk people because they catch all the negativity and I am sure they don't do the staffing!!!! I will update this review after our next visit - hopefully things will change both for the patients and for the front line people that work there. read more

Anyway, I went and I don't know if the young girl knew what she was doing. She seemed nice and like she knew how to draw blood but when it came down to it she couldn't get any blood out. So she tried my other arm and couldn't get blood out either. She asked another girl to step in and try if that was okay with me, I thought it would be fine so I said go ahead but before I got stuck for a third time I started to feel faint and had to stop them. After my arm was sore for 2 days. I think they just weren't experienced enough. I'm going back but I'm asking for an older more seasoned phlebotomist next time. N sunrise wasn't friendly and a bit resentful in attitude. I wish I could select something less than 1 star. I spent 30 minutes driving around the parking lot because the only sign is a portable one that is nowhere near the street. In fact it was placed right next to their door behind all the buildings. Their parking garage was full but again no sign letting people know so everyone is driving around in cicles. I stood by the window for quite a bit of time. The receptionist & another lady were talking crap about someone maybe another patient. So I patiently waited for her to check in with me. They finish their conversation.. she continues to completely ignore me she was on her computer...So I finally ask her if they are taking walk ins. She said no & that's fine. (Website said otherwise& I came to this location because it said no wait time for walk-ins.) Customer service is non-existent at this location. Horrible experience with Quest Diagnostics today. My new employer sent me in for drug testing. On the Quest Diagnostics printout, the Coyle site was listed as an option. I went there, signed in on their IPad and patiently waited for approximately 1 hour before I was told that they do not perform drug testing at that location. They told me I could go to the site on Fair Oaks. When I got to that site at 11:00am, I was told they only do drug screening after 12:30pm. I was finally sent to a site in Rancho Cordova and was able to complete the screening. Since I followed the directions provided by Quest's website and employee, this experience left me with the perception that Quest has no regard for their customer's time. In the future and given the option, I will never use Quest Diagnostics. read more

There were over a dozen people waiting, i got there at 10:10 for a 10:15 appointment and was seen right away. The girl that drew my blood was beyond sweet and hugely competent at what she does! This review is not necessarily for the Coyle Ave Quest personnel, they've always been good, but for whoever is in charge of their online hour of operations posting. Their hours online say they're open til 1:00 on Saturdays. I drove from Lincoln to my moms to pick up a urine specimen and deliver it to Quest. Got there about 12:10. They said they closed at noon. The girl that took my blood was nice the rest were ok. Here's the problem and something that needs to be addressed. This quest is directly in front of the lab Corp we're I was supposed to get my lab work done. My insurance doesn't not cover quest diagnostics so I am stuck with a bill which is also overpriced. It is insanely deceiving putting it right in front of lab Corp. I didn't know there were different company's as I do not want anything to do with hospitals in the first place. There customer service is garbage and not willing to help at all. Just be aware that there are 2 labs attached to each other. And be aware that there prices are overpriced. read more

This lab is so full of incompetence, it makes me fear for the safety of the patients. My two year old daughter had to have a full work up done, which means that she had to go twice since they needed so much blood. The first time, the girl could not find her vein and was moving the needle around in her arm before going to the other arm & then she had to call in another technician. Once we got both draws done, I call her doctor to get the results & they tell me that the lab did not do three of the tests! They claim it was never ordered. Well, the doctor's office has proof that it was. So not only are they negligent, they are liars as well. Now I have to take my little two year old daughter back again. Last time, she was pleading with me to take her home & crying. I have already submitted an email to Quest Corporate through their website, but I doubt anything will be addressed. This was my first visit to this location and it was a disappointment. The times listed online were incorrect with their hours. I arrived early before 7 am and they took 5 others who walked in after I did. I had to ask if they forgot about me as they had put my file out of circulation. I was quite upset about this as I was expected at work. Then, the lady who drew blood was pleasant but I have never had such a painful experience before. The pressure of the needle was so painful I had to say something. Then to top it all off. They never updated my account with my current insurance info that I provided. I just received a bill of full charges and not the correct insurance info. This was a complete poor experience for me at this location. Despite all the negative reviews, I thought this place was descent. I came in Saturday morning around 7:20 am and the reception room was nearly full with about 15-20 people in front of me. I waited for about 45 minutes before being seen. The staff were polite but noticeably in a hurry. And that was a good thing in my opinion. By the way, I was a walk-in with a standing order, so I'm not sure how fast it would be if you have an appointment set already. The place is clean and professional, too. read more

This is my first time writing a review for anyone. I must say the worse service I have ever received so I have to post this! I signed in and wasnt called to the front desk for over an hour-literally!!! There were many people that came in after me (I would say 10+) and most of them had an appointment. Those people were taken ahead of me. I have never been to this lab, didnt know I needed an appointment. I've had many labs drawn at other places and never required an appointment so I wasnt aware that Quest lab prefers appointment. I was sitting by the front desk and they must have overheard me on the phone saying that I was still waiting to be registered and I was there for almost an hour. There were people that were waiting before I got there and were still waiting after I left! There should be a sign stating that if you dont have an appointment, you will be "fitted in" as a walk in. Its nice for those that have an appointment, but not as a walk in patient. Front desk was not welcoming or friendly. Rude and short, just "doing their job". In addendum, I came here yesterday afternoon and couldnt stay because of my work schedule. I wanted to make an appt and the front desk girl said they dont schedule appointments at this location??!! I must have misunderstood her, appearantly she meant that I have to call someone or go online to schedule. Lastly, the girl who was drawing my blood was very nice but she didnt know what she was doing. She needed 3 small vials of blood. She kept the turnikit on the entire time she was drawing my blood (both times). By the last vial, my arm was tingling and she couldnt get enough blood so she had to draw from another vein (ouch!). My husband, who is a nurse, was with me and watched the entire thing and said that the turnikit should be off so she pulled it off! I am not returning to this location! read more

The wait is so long at this location. Three people in front of us and we are still waiting 45 minutes! Front desk is rude. Customer came in and was at wrong location. Quest apparently has another location across the street. Front desk told them the address across the street. Customer asked where that was. She kept repeating address instead of just telling her it was across the street in hospital parking lot. Other waiting patients gave better directions. So unprofessional!!! Rude and mouthy staff. I got there at 8:06am and there was only 2 patients ahead of me, 1 of them being helped at the counter. The other worker that was not checking the man in was having a conversation with another employee in there so I stood in line on my phone waiting for the man to finish. I hear the woman, named Carolyn, say "you can sign in on this sheet right here" but when I look up she is looking at the man at the counter. Then she says "or you can just stand there". So I walked up to the counter and asked her if she was talking to me which she was so at this point I am highly offended I couldn't even get an "excuse me" or a "m'am" how am I supposed to know when you are done with your conversation that you are ready to help me when you are not even looking at me?? I remained cordial with Carolyn however I had a disgusted look on my face and as I sat down she started to talk to the other employee at the counter about it being too early for this stuff to be happening already and how you would be surprised and I am in complete shock because for 1 I am sitting right here I can hear your conversation and 2 I chose not to act out of character and even take the situation there! More people started to come in and the 2 before me are gone and there are now about 15 people inside and it is now 8:30. I ask why they are taking people that all came after me and they tell me they are helping people with appointments first. So you don't have a rotation where u will fit me in after so many patients?? I understood people with patients get priority but I felt there was something more to this so as I went outside to call and complain they decided then that they could take me in. I never thought I would feel so uncomfortable or have such a horrible experience just trying to get some blood drawn.
