Located…read moredirectly on Greenback Lane (in Citrus Heights) and just a couple blocks east of I-80, the "Sutter Medical Plaza Greenback Lab" has been my go-to place dating back to 2023. Parking here is relatively easy to find as the dedicated lot is spacious enough to accommodate a few dozen vehicles at any given time. Their hours are also quite reasonable as they are open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 5:00pm while being closed on weekends. My most recent visit was during the morning of Friday 12/11/2025 at around 9:00am. I checked in one day prior on the My Health Online app through Sutter Health which was a very seamless process as they had a ton of open timeslots available. After entering the facility, you make an immediate walk to the right, sign-in, and wait (which was less than 5 minutes). And since this was for Lab bloodwork, I made sure they did a Lipid (cholesterol level) profile, comprehensive metabolic panel, prostate antigen test, and complete blood cell count. Once I was seen by a medical specialist, they checked my vitals (heart & blood pressure) and weight. Since I fasted 12 hours prior to coming here, I got a syringe in my left arm (which was just a slight "pinch") and was on my way. Total time from when I arrived to when I exited the building was less than 10 minutes. Overall, the front desk staff and nurses were all very friendly and accommodating. All in all, the "Sutter Medical Plaza Greenback Lab" was a fairly positive experience with no hiccups or issues. My rating, an above average four stars.

The waiting room has been empty both times and I was in right at appt time or early. The main reason for this positive review is Leeza (spelling) she is AMAZING. She's friendly has a way of making you feel very comfortable, and the best part is you only need to get poked once. Highly recommended I will be using them from now on and the test was actually cheaper than the cost at the other lab! Win win!

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused." I'm sure you value your time, but so do your clients. If you were truly sorry for the inconvenience then at the very LEAST you could have called your clients that had appointments today to explain that you were not going to be open. Instead you inconvenienced everyone that had appointments today by wasting their time by having them drive the whole way to the lab for no reason, and have to turn-around and go home. This was a complete waste of my time and money. This is the definition of terrible customer service. I understand that things may come up that would cause an unexpected closure, but do what's right and at least contact those that had appointments. Again, this is customer service 101. Do better Labcorp!

This location needs more chairs. Tons of people were standing bc they ran out of chairs. I was experiencing nausea and other terrible mysterious symptoms, and they didn't even ask me if I was pregnant or what even type of medication they were prescribing me to go pick up. I was just given a shot in my butt and was scooted out without feeling like we got down to the root problem. It felt very rushed and I think some assumptions were made on my behalf because of my sex as a woman. UPDATED REVIEW: just went into this urgent care again today and I had a MUCH better experience with Oni the on-site medical doctor. This sweet man actually listened to my problems and gave different diagnoses and even gave me a pregnancy test! (Which the other doctor did not do or even asked) please request Oni if you can, he's a much better attentive doctor who actually cares for everyone. FIVE STARS

Communication with the phlebotomist will help to minimize miscommunication, provide clarification and eliminate unnecessary pokes. You are your best historian, so speak up about your veins, i.e. small, like to peek & retreat, rollover, needle type that has worked in the past such as a 'Butterfly', ecetera. With an appointment, being seen on time is the result, because Quest policy is to provide service to all scheduled appointments prior to servicing walk-ins. Waiting area is sufficient for mobility devices such as wheelchairs , walkers, canes and more. Blood draw area can be a tight squeeze for wheelchairs but the phlebotomists rearrange things to make access. With a scheduled appointment, an experience at Quest has the potential to be optimum. Oh, have insurance card or payment ready at the time of appointment or optionally, input health insurance information under the profile section in the MyQuest system when scheduling appointment. Anything to save time. Time is a priceless commodity.

The last two visits I arrived a little early, which was a total waste of time because they were over 30 minutes late on appointments. I then had to wait for a more experience phlebotomist because I'm a hard draw so I was there for over an hour and a half which included 15 minutes of me getting there early....but still. I have been here and been poked four times just to get my order filled so this last time even though I had to wait a long time for an experience phlebotomist, I only got poked once which was a win. Beware it's definitely hitting us here. I wouldn't come if you need to be out of here by a certain time. I've also noticed the last two times I've been there. There has been no parking as well, so if you wanna save some time and frustration, I'd choose another location or go to LabCorp.
