I'm very displeased with this location. There's no reception in the office. You literally walk in and There's a check in, no human just technology. I had questions before I needed to check in. I made an appointment for 11:40am They really should have someone helping in the waiting area. I'm just here to pick up sample cups. I'm not doing testing today. I don't understand why I need to wait it makes no sense, labCorp would have never done this. There definitely could be a better level of care here but there isn't. There's about 10 people ahead of me but somehow I have an appointment. They have no screen that lets you know whose going to be next. As for the bathroom in the waiting room there isn't any. I've just been sitting here for an hour having to pee. I'm not here for Urinalysis. They have the wrong app name on the board. I waited way passed my scheduled appointment. Why are walk-ins going before me? The type of care here is awful most of the people here just seemed miserable. I'm not sure if this place is always like this, I just not sure why i wasn't seen at my appointment, what's the point of the appointment? I would not recommend this location to anyone who needs to do pick up without having to get a test done. Unfortunately this is the closest lab to me, wish labcorp was in my area and closer. It's not the people working here's fault it's how the place is just setup. The lady who finally called me helped a lot it's not her fault the place is run terrible. Workers get a+ the way the place is run terrible. Old people don't know how to use technology, I can't imagine someone walking in here that doesn't know how to use the touch screen or is blind. read more

Not sure what the problem is. Quest labs are closing. Kiosks doesn't work. Lots of confused people. Ridiculously long waits even with an appointment. Not enough help for those who either aren't used to using a computer Kiosk and/ or don't speak English. I arrived well before my appointment and am already waiting over an hour past my appointment. I am leaving a one star review because the facility was understaffed and the wait time- even if you an appointment- was 2 hours! There were no admin/ office workers, only overburdened medical staff. Two wonderful women work here regularly who only need one try to get blood out of me, which is a miracle, but Quest overbooks this location way too much (often letting people book three appointments at the same time, when most days there are only two phlebotomists). Absolutely the worst place I've ever had to use for pre employment drug screening. Waited from 7:30 am in the office only to be told standby is probably not going to be seen today. Then I make an appointment for 11am. Leave at 8:50 and come back at 10:15 for my appointment. Text message wouldn't let me check in early, the kiosk inside lets me check in at 10:25. 11:00 passed 50 minutes ago now and I'm still waiting... my name came off the checked in listing and they are still taking people who aren't on the screen. I am not going to get a ticket for parking because I can't pay for more time. I hope this place closes down. No one here deserves a job. They are rude and talk to clients that are concerned about their appointments like they are children who are wrong when they checked in over an hour early. There another gentleman here who has been waiting even longer then me.... Please God never come here for an emergency. Or a planned one either Close this location. Get a staff that actually works and has a secretarial desk. This COVID wall doesn't need to be here. They are only using it to hide from the clients at this point. read more

There is absolutely no one to speak with. All I had to do is drop off a specimen. There is a check in machine and you have to hope for the best. I just started to ask a question and the door was actually closed in my face. This is the worst place. If there is even a slightly better lab. Go there not here. read more

This location is fine. I think most of the negative reviews are just how Quest itself is run. You go in, there's no receptionist and no one to help you. Just a kiosk and a waiting room. So, if you have questions or cannot use the kiosk for any reason, you're kinda out of luck. This is actually bad business because many people have disabilities, different levels of reading comprehension, etc. The actual phlebotomists that work there are fine. Professional. Not overly warm, but they get the job done. My biggest tip is to schedule an appointment. They do take walk ins but appointments take priority. The tv was very loud, actually. So it was actually hard to hear when they first called my name. Unfortunately, there's not a ton of choice in the lab space...so I guess we're stuck with Quest. read more

Had an appointment at quest today for routine lab work, I typically faint when I get blood drawn and was quite nervous going in, but the staff made sure I was very comfortable and ready. It was the first time in a long time I didn't pass out. They took their time and were very kind. For those of you who also pass out, you can request to lay down which was very helpful. Quest overbooks the wonderful women who work here, sometimes making it hard for them to do their jobs, but they are still so professional, competent and kind. Whenever I go here, I marvel at how hard they work, all year around, and how incredibly skilled they are at drawing blood. It is painless and there's never any spillage. Much better than any of the doctor's offices I go to, frequently in much posher conditions! I only wish that Quest would give them more holidays, and not overbook the patients. I'm not one to leave reviews but this was such a smooth experience for a medical process that I need to share. I showed just before my appointment time and I bought a test online. I did the check in at the kiosk which was easy and straightforward and then got called in less than 5 minutes later. The phlebotomist was friendly (even wished me a happy birthday) and did an excellent job with the blood test - I barely felt a sting! Then I was out the door within 10 minutes. If I don't get additionally charged for the test by quest this will absolutely be my regular way of getting blood work done. I see how it could be frustrating to not have a receptionist for some people so I would recommend asking someone to accompany you if possible to ease the process of using the machine. There was an older man that asked for my help checking in and I was happy to help. Overall so pleased! read more

I made my appointment ahead of time, showed up on time, checked in online, and had zero issues with getting in and out. The staff was even patient with me when I needed to step away to get my insurance card to load, as I was having poor service inside. My advise is plan ahead and follow through, otherwise yes - you're going to be waiting. read more

THIRD WORLD MEDICINE IN THE HEART OF NEW YORK CITY! This place is a complete hellhole. After making my appointment for a blood test online, I arrived on time to find a filthy, smelly waiting room filled with angry, frustrated people. Why were they angry and frustrated? Because, as I found out after I checked in at the electronic kiosk, many of them had been waiting for an hour or more for their scheduled appointments. Occasionally, an ancient attendant would emerge from behind the walled-off treatment area and bark at one of the patients in heavily accented English like a dezhurnaya in a Soviet-era hotel. My appointment was at 12:00. At 12:05 a patient emerged from the back. When I asked him how long he'd been waiting, he told me his appointment was for 11:00. Since there was no one to speak with about what was going on, I left. I have better things to do than wait an hour or more to have my blood drawn. read more

We made an appointment for 10:20 am on a Saturday and they were super backed up. They told us two hour wait so we signed up for the text message notification to come back. Especially as way more people than chairs. Never got a text message and came back just after noon to find the door locked. Didn't realize they close at noon on a Saturday. I knocked on the door and one of the patients opened the door only to be berated by an employee saying to never open the door. I told the employee we never got a text as she was telling me to go home. I begged her to be seen. They relented and ultimately they were very nice but this is clearly not a great process. Probably they need more help on Saturdays. Turns out they were understaffed. read more

Ended up having to leave without seeing seen since I had to go to work. Waste of my damn time. I've been to the Williamsburg and 5th ave locations and they stick to their appointments. I want to balance out some of these negative reviews because I honestly had a really smooth experience here, and I'd hate for people to be deterred. I made an appointment for 8:15 and was seen before 8:30 (maybe the key is to do a morning appointment!). Check-in at the kiosk was super quick and there was even an option to get a text when they were ready for you, so I chose that one and hung out outside. I was given an estimated wait time of 22 minutes, but before I could even make it down the street, I got a text that they were ready for me. My nurse was super sweet and helpful. Answered all my Qs and got me everything I needed. She was honestly a joy and I wish I had gotten her name so I could metntion her here, haha. I doubt people ever think to leave glowing reviews for a diagnostics lab, so just take that into consideration when you read the rest of these. If you live in Greenpoint, there's no reason not to come here! read more

I had to visit here twice in the last 2 months. First time was ok. I signed in online but didnt get called for over 10 minutes even though there was only one other person there. So then I signed in at the kiosk and was called quickly. The text says you can sign in both ways but using the kiosk is clearly more reliable. I was told I'd get the results in a week. It was actually 11 days. Second time, i wasn't able to get an appointment for 5 days so I thought I'd try my luck at a walk-in appt sooner. I checked the website for their hours and it said open til 5. Nope- now it's 3pm posted on the door. Wasted my time getting off early from work to go there. So then I decided to go first thing Saturday morning. I had other plans but changed them to hopefully get this appt. I got there at 7 am and was told they weren't accepting walkins. In the end, I wound up going to my original appt time, 5 days later. Very frustrating to be just getting worse and more uncomfortable every day because this place can't accommodate everyone sooner. Anyway the woman at the kiosk was very unfriendly and seemed very annoyed to be working. The other staff were fine. I hope I don't have to go back here for more tests but if I do, it won't be the worst experience. read more

The phlebotomists work insanely hard. What Quest should do is hire a receptionist for this location. I've called looking to confirm hours or test preparations without being able to get through and I've had to leave and come back three times. It's not the fault of the ladies working there. It's Quest's fault for not having an office manager. The phone recording doesn't state the correct hours. If you're reading this during quarantine, they close at 3, not 4. read more

There is no point in scheduling an appointment. Walked in and the place was packed. As I was waiting, I overheard someone Elaine complaining that they had an appointment at 11:30; they weren't seen until 1pm. As the wait room erupted in laughter and chatter, we all realized this was the norm. I came here to give a blood sample and first off it took me 30 minutes to find parking. The parking is extremely hard in this area so take public transportation such as the g train and the bus. The place is next to many restaurants and shops which is nice sightseeing. I walked in and there was no secretary. There was a tablet to sign into. Didn't like that considering I'm a secretary at a hospital and that takes jobs away from people. However, I had a quick wait and Iwona was very nice. She did my blood sample so quickly and with ease. Shes a great phlebotomist. She was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I would return to this location but take public transit! read more

It's hard because I think people get frustrated and have difficult using the kiosk and there's no receptionist or anything to help them. I tried to come the day before and helped two older polish gentlemen who were very confused get checked in with the kiosk, but then I didn't have time to check myself in before going to work which is on me for not budgeting a reasonable amount of time. I came in as a walk-in the next day, budgeting more time this time, and when I checked in the kiosk said it would be an 8 minute wait. Cool! Actual wait: over 45 minutes and counting! This morning on the Friday 13th at 11.05am at the 147 Greenpoint Quest Diagnostics Center. I went to this office and I asked one of the ladies nam Marcia that worked there a simple question. The lady was very disrespectful and started raising her voice because she felt like I was asking her the question over & over but she just wasn't answering the question. I had to ask her to calm her voice down because I wasn't shouting at her. When I asked to speak with her manager she lied stating she was going for them come to find they weren't there at the time. This lady Marcia is very disrespectful and need to be retrained she's lacking respect when it comes to dealing with the public in the waiting room read more

I came in as a walk in and I completely understand that I will have to wait awhile, but I literally waited over three hours. They gave you the option to leave and they will text you when they're ready for you. Cool. I ended up making an appointment online for 1pm the same day. A horrible experience. Never have I been so mistreated by a doctors office. My mother is diabetic and had an appointment they disregarded the appointment and we waited over 2 hours to be seen. When I complained to the worker she said it wasn't her problem. They were prioritizing people that they knew rather than the ones with appointments. read more

As you could imagine taking a toddler for blood work isn't exactly a walk in the park, however walking into QD which is super quick and efficient. I was greeted by wonderful staff who both made my experience a breeze. They sang Baby Shark yo help ease my daughter while they drew blood and gave her a cute sticker once they were done.
