Started frequently purchasing from here because they are one of the only locations that carries the HIPP baby formula brand in all of Brooklyn. I can't say enough how helpful the entire staff here is. If there isn't enough on the floor, they'll run to the back and get more of anything you need. Even have arranged delivery to our home in Clinton Hill a few times, and they've been great at arranging pickup/drop off. Thankfully they also have a rewards program for customers, so we even save a little every now and then. Would highly recommend coming here for any specialty items you need to rely on being available regularly. read more

Cute little place. Looks small (and it kinda is) but is packed with a lot of stuff. The pharmacy and staff are helpful. It also has a lot of other stuff, so beyond the actual pharmacy, there's over the counter meds, as well as interesting selection of cosmetics (I like the facemasks) and other doo-dads like candles, etc. I think they also deliver meds (but I never had anything delivered). read more

Came here for the first time to get tested for Covid-19. I was so nervous because I was afraid of the nasal swabs test hurting but the owner was absolutely amazing. He even let me squeeze his arm while he performed the test. This pharmacy is clean and friendly. Masks must be worn to enter business and with every purchase you can request a mask if you don't already have one. Please don't take advantage. Some people are in real need. My only complaint was the amount of time it took to get my results but I won't put too much blame on them as the test went out to a lab. read more

This might be, no exaggeration, the best pharmacy in Brooklyn. I had some issues with my psychiatrist's office sending over a script which kept getting delayed. The Altru pharmacist called them repeatedly until they sent it over and got everything straightened out. Everyone there is SUPER NICE, the store is well stocked, they deliver, etc. etc. I feel lucky to have them in my neighborhood. 10/10. read more

Altru is such a great asset to our neighborhood. Throughout the pandemic- it's a go-to spot for PCR-testing and vaccines (and boosters). The staff is friendly and accommodating. You can make appointments online, or just walk in. Super fast to get a test or vaccine. For a PCR test, I'm typically in-and-out within 5 minutes when I have an appointment. Much thanks to everyone there for providing COVID tests and vaccines to our neighborhood. Outside of covid resources, Altru also has a solid selection of personal care products and brands! read more

I went to the store for a COVID antibody test and one of the pharmacists greeted me. The pharmacy is super clean and the pharmacists are incredibly patient and professional. There was a line in front but the pharmacist directed me to sit in the back for social distancing. Everyone was wear masks and hand sanitizer were provided to the customers. When it was my turn getting the test, the pharmacist patiently explained the procedure and performed it quick and professional. TBH, I did not expect this type of 5 stars service. For anyone needs their prescription filled or a antibody test, this should be the place you wanna go. Cannot be happier. read more

Switching to this pharmacy is the best decision I've ever made. I used to have to wait anywhere from 2-6 weeks to get my prescription filled at the Greenpoint CVS, and they would always just tell me they couldn't control when it was in stock. The first time I ever sent a prescription to Altru they asked me if I would need it filled every month, and when I said yes they said they would make sure to always have it in stock and ready for me on the day it was due going forward. The nicest people, the best service, and the first time I've ever been able to count on actually having my medication when I needed it. So grateful for them! read more

I have been getting my prescriptions at this place for five months now and so far I have had the best experience ever. I got COVID in March and I was unprepared for it. I had no Tylenol or cough suppressants at home and I was literally dying from the fever and dry cough. I called the COVID hotline and the hospital, but no one could have helped me. Out of desperation, I called my pharmacy and you know what, they delivered me Tylenol, cough suppressants and everything else I need that night!! I can't remember who was on the phone with me, but he SAVED my life. I can never repay the favor. Last month, I went in and try to thank the staff who was on the phone with me but couldn't find him. All I want to say is thank you so much! I also got my antibody test there. So grateful for everything you guys did for me!! read more

I have been coming here for the last few weeks and I have never had a better pharmacy experience. Everyone there is incredibly friendly, it's clean, and they are honest. I spoke to an employee named Lev today; he answered all of my questions with tons of patience and kindness. He was able to help with insurance prices and answer my pharmaceutical questions. The staff has been extremely helpful with all of my pharmacy needs in 2020 including all pandemic related products plus just normal everyday products from face wash to fish oil. My experience with each staff member has been great - they are very helpful and truly care about people in the neighborhood.
