A lot of big box stores in the area are hard to reach and have long wait times, so I was happy to find a pharmacy that actually cares for their patrons and community. I am new to the area never had any prescriptions filled there maybe that's a yet. Doesn't accept all insurances quite shocking considering the area that is now gentrifying. read more

If I had to recommend a pharmacy in Brooklyn then S&T would be it. Hands down. The customer service there is unmatched. They provide a unique personal touch to pharmaceuticals that you won't find in a large corporate chain. Staff kindly asked I had any allergies that they should be aware of. Chill Caribbean tunes paint the airwaves, making for a calm and relaxing wait. Building on community, staff fronted a paying customer 11 cents to complete a purchase. Staff respects the health and safety of its patrons by wearing masks at all times and decorating the floor with easy to read social distancing markers throughout the pharmacy. In addition to medicine, S&T is a one stop shop for personal hygiene and grooming products. S&T is a black owned business that's been operating in Crown Heights since 1972. I've been coming here for over a year. Donall is always kind and patient. You can tell that the staff here takes extra measures to ensure good customer service. They never fail to remain composed and polite even when dealing with rude or entitled customers. The pharmacy is clean and well stocked and I appreciate that there is plenty of seating. Donall even goes as far as spritzing your hands with sanitizer before you leave the store. Man what can you say about this exotic mom and pop little pharmacy? A blast to the past? No big corporate overlord making you stand in line for 20 Minutes to check out. You actually get to speak to the pharmacist and ask questions if you have some.... super friendly staff for sure. Really good friendly customer service. Sure their inventory is surreal. But for the basics they've got everything you need. The prices are understandably a bit high, just because they can't benefit from the large bulk order discounts large chain stores enjoy. I have been coming here regularly since I moved to this neighborhood. It is a newly opened place with an old-fashioned kind of charm. The pharmacists are friendly and helpful and polite, and the wait for a prescription is not long at all (even when it looks busy and you don't call ahead). One time I came here with $3 in my pocket and my prescription came to $5. This was below the "charge card minimum," so I told the man I'd be right back; I had to run to the ATM. Do you know what the man said? "You look like an honest person. Just bring me the $2 when you have it." I nearly cried! No where else do you find this kind of service! Certainly not at your local Duane Reade! I have no need to take advantage of it, but they do deliver prescriptions to your house. The only (slight) downfall, is this is the kind of place where other products are located behind the counter and you have to ask for them. I went to this pharmacy for the first time recently and will be filling all of my prescriptions here from now on. The employees are so friendly and know many of their customers by name. Customers are offered cookies and tea and coffee while they wait. How cute is that?! They can be a little bit slow- even when I've called my prescriptions in in advance, I still end up waiting about 15mins, but they're so nice in here that it's not a bad trade off. They are also a CVS network pharmacy- any prescriptions from CVS can be transferred here. There are no CVS pharmacies in this neighborhood so I'll be transferring all of mine here! read more

5 Stars does not even begin to give you an idea of what an amazing place this is. I have never even been inside but I can tell you what happened to me this past weekend makes me want to shop here every single day. I was walking to the pharmacy, which I found is only 4 blocks from my house thanks to yelp! but I decided to move my car first. When I got to my car my window was smashed so I had to call the police to get a report done. Of course with my luck the pharmacy was about to close in 30 minutes. I called to see what time they opened the next day but my prescription was pretty urgent. I told them how my car had just been broken into and I was waiting for the cops so I may have to come in the next day. They were super nice and told me how sorry they were and we hung up. Two minutes later I get a call from an number I don't recognize - the pharmacist was calling to say he had spoken to the owner and they would process my prescription, charge me over the phone and WALK THE PRESCRIPTION TO ME!!! WHAT?!?! CVS, Duane Reade and Walgreens would NEVER do that for a customer...just saying! I sent them my prescription, insurance info, etc and sure enough...as I was waiting in the cold for the cops to get there the owner drove over and handed me my prescription and all in the world was right again. This might be the best business of ANY type that I've ever been to. More proof that local is better than the big ones. I came to S&T Pharmacy after the emergency walk-in doctor down the street sent my prescription here. I heard the pharmacist on the phone with three different people and he not only was kind, but actually knew their cases and gave them real advice based on what he knew about their history. My insurance wanted to charge a huge amount for the prescribed medication and the pharmacist found an alternative, walked back to the walk-in place and explained that there's another medication that would do the job and cost me less. HE WALKED DOWN THE STREET FOR ME IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY SATURDAY. Then. THEN! He offered us all cookies! I love this place. People who care make such a difference. read more

The urgent care location down the street recommended this place and I am *SO* glad they did. This pharmacy is the BEST. The employees and owner are just about the nicest I've ever experienced, the store is very well stocked for its size, and they even offer you tea and cookies while you wait. I can't possibly say enough nice things about them. It's a little further away from my home than other pharmacies but it's well worth going a little out of the way. I had a bit of a wait while my prescriptions were called in by the doctor's office, and beyond my own experience I was very impressed by how friendly and helpful the owner was to several other customers while I was waiting. This is the friendliest pharmacy experience I've had since the '80s. I was looking for some probiotic pills to offset the antibiotic I'm taking for strep throat. Crown Heights doesn't have any major pharmacies, so I was steeling myself for a wintry trek to the Duane Reed on Flatbush when I happened upon this little place in the neighborhood. What a difference from the chains! A friendly older gentleman chatted with me about the different kinds of probiotics and made sure I got the best deal. Actual human customer service! I have never experienced such a wonderful visit to the pharmacy. Upon arrival I was immediately offered cookies with tea or coffee. Then they took my prescription card and I sat in their quant store watching CNN very pleased by the kindness happening all around. I came in with an eye an infection and had a script for a non generic drug that was $200. The urgent care clinic I had just went to down the street had just opened and when the pharmacist (Donald) called them to see if the doctor could change the script to something cheaper, he couldn't get through. He called again and googled the address/number to no avail. It was a Saturday morning, not terribly busy and his other pharmacist called in sick. He asked me to keep on eye on the store as he ran down the street to have the doctor change the script. He came back with a new script that cost me only $50. He offered me cookies and coffee while I waited for my script. I was uninsured at the time and I couldn't believe the effort he put in to get me a cheaper and more effective drug. It was my first time here and I was stunned at the level of customer service. My eye healed in about 2 days with the drops. Thanks for going above and beyond. I have never written a yelp review and I have uploaded this app just for this purpose. I have had a horrible day...like the kind where you just want to give up because you know it won't get any better. I have bronchitis and have spent the majority of the day arguing with my HR department and my insurance provider. After a half dozen calls, half of which were made in the urgent care waiting room, I was done. Sick, tired and upset I made it to this pharmacy and they were amazingly sweet. I was offered much needed tea and a cookie and when the same insurance problems cropped up they didn't just sit by as they did at urgent care and wait for me to resolve the problem but spent a good part of an hour on the phone as my advocates. After all that the problem was still not going to be resolved in a timely manner so they told me to go home and rest and they would deliver the medicine to my apartment. I have never had such great service. This day could have been so much worse and they made it a little bit better. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more
