Coming from chain pharmacies where they're just trying to get you out of the door as quickly as possible, having someone who actually wanted to discuss new medication with you was a breath of fresh air. Truly the best pharmacy with the friendliest and most knowledgeable business owners. I have friends who've moved out of the neighborhood and are jealous that I still live close enough to use Accurate--they're literally *that* beloved. I've has uncomfortable/awkward experiences at a few other NYC/Brooklyn pharmacies in the past, especially the larger chain ones. Sometimes they've been impatient or annoyed because I have quite a few doctors & medications to coordinate or I have questions; others have acted judgmental about medications that have certain stigmas attached to them (e.g. adderall, birth control). But Accurate is never like that--the pharmacist is so patient, never rushes you, and doesn't ever make you feel judged or uncomfortable. Had a horrible experience at the stop and shop at Atlantic and came here upon the recommendation of my boyfriend. They took care of everything And even knew how to process my insurance. I called Tuesday morning to inquire about a prescription. Danny, the pharmacist, was really nice in obtaining necessary info. and when I wasn't sure about something, he asked me to stop by before the end of the day. When I stopped by, the store was empty. When I approached the pharmacy, he was quick to greet me and ask what I needed. He was very friendly and helpful in explaining the instructions on my prescription! I noticed he was the only one at the store though. I wonder if there are any more staff? Store was on the smaller side with 2 aisles; the pharmacy is located at the back of the store, and the store seemed clean. read more

He always gives great customer service, knowing exactly my medications, and is kind when I occasionally request a refill at the last minute (try not to do that as he is often by himself). Danny, the truly wonderful pharmacist who runs this establishment, must by now think that our house is a disease ridden cesspool. And you know what, he's right. No argument. In the short time I've lived in South Slope, Danny now knows all our names by heart due to our constant emergency health status. Yet despite that, he keeps it professional. And he'll also accept your UPS packages, and notarize your documents too. Their tiny little store warps the space/time continuum, because I've strangely never had any difficulty finding exactly what I needed here. Instead of 100000 choices for everything, you have two: the name brand version, and one generic version. You'll also find birthday cards, batteries and other needful things that I probably just haven't noticed yet. Keep it going Danny. My family needs you. read more

I can't believe I haven't left a review for Accurate Pharmacy yet!! This place is tiny, but Danny is fabulously in tune with the neighborhood and its needs and I almost always find everything I'm looking for. You can also get your eyes checked for the DMV, drop off/pickup UPS packages and you don't have to wait forever for your prescription. It's like an old-school general store! Poor Danny seems to be there 24/7, but I certainly appreciate his diligence and attention to detail and am very grateful he is in the south slope. (Hours are a bit shortened because of Covid - I think 10-5 weekdays and 10-3 Saturday; closed Sunday.) read more

This pharmacy and its owner is the reason I finally registered with Yelp to leave reviews. I never thought I'd be so excited about a pharmacy, of all things. But the service here is beyond excellent. Is there an option for 6 stars? At least one of everything you go to a drugstore for: cold meds, vitamins, herbal teas, toilet paper, nail polish & tools, every baby need, shampoos, lotions, men's toiletries. You name it. Even reading glasses, totes, greeting cards, popular brand / location gift cards, Melissa & Doug toys, Honest brand diapers. Danny, the owner, was a brick during a family member's prolonged and stressful illness. I can't even imagine going through that awful time without this place. He stayed open late and even offered delivery of critical meds when things got hairy. He provided helpful info about prescriptions that kept conflicts and side effects to a bare minimum. He was genuinely interested and concerned, making us feel like we had one more (critical) ally in our camp through that time. Now that we're past the worst, my extended family all keep coming back. Not just out of loyalty (though we feel that) but because he'll order any brands & items we want, his prices are competitive with online & box stores (not sure how), his hours work, and because his small store is like a moment of Zen in my day. This is hands down one of the best pharmacies in the neighborhood. The inside is so neatly put together and well stocked. They also have merchandise that you wont find at retail pharmacies. Now the pharmacist and owner Danny is so good and knowledgeable!!! He takes the time out to answer your questions in depth and really knows his stuff. He will text and call if there are any issues or just to simply tell you that the prescription is ready. Oh and he is also a notary public. this pharmacy is also an UPS access point so you can drop off and pick up packages. They do other services such as faxing and copying as well as the eye exam for DMV. Overall I would recommend this pharmacy 1000%. read more
