My rating is more like and 3 1/2, not 3. This place has its pluses and minuses.
This past Friday, I finished an appointment with my PCP. She wanted me to get labs done that her office didn't do. I've lived in Ridgewood forever and honestly had no idea this Bio-Reference existed! I did a Google search after my appointment and found this location. It was a Friday at 4 and they said they were open so I made an appointment online and walked the 4 blocks to here. Online, it said they closed at 6:30. Don't listen to that because when I got there at 4, they were closed. That was pretty aggravating. I made an appointment for the next day, Saturday at 10. Thankfully when I got there they were open.
To say this place is small is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! As soon as you open the door and walk in, youre bound to hit someone. Only 6 seats in the closet-like waiting area. Those seats are crammed in there. I noticed that they have patients with family/friends accompanying them. That should NOT be allowed in such a small facility. For children patients, that's a different story, but adults with other adults? A big nope!
The office is run by just 1 phlebotomist. She was doing the clerical & check-in duties along with the phlebotomy. She was fine and efficient. I wouldn't mind coming back for other labs. It's extremely convenient and the Saturday hours work for me. If you download the CommonHealth app and connect your Bio-Reference log-in, you'll be able to see your results when they come in. read more
