After 48 hours, I tried to contact the lab using the chat support system to inquire about my results. The wait time to chat with an agent was always "1 minute" even after I waited 15 minutes. She wanted me to get labs done that her office didn't do. I've lived in Ridgewood forever and honestly had no idea this Bio-Reference existed! I did a Google search after my appointment and found this location. It was a Friday at 4 and they said they were open so I made an appointment online and walked the 4 blocks to here. Online, it said they closed at 6:30. Don't listen to that because when I got there at 4, they were closed. That was pretty aggravating. I made an appointment for the next day, Saturday at 10. Thankfully when I got there they were open. To say this place is small is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! As soon as you open the door and walk in, youre bound to hit someone. Only 6 seats in the closet-like waiting area. Those seats are crammed in there. I noticed that they have patients with family/friends accompanying them. That should NOT be allowed in such a small facility. For children patients, that's a different story, but adults with other adults? A big nope! The office is run by just 1 phlebotomist. She was doing the clerical & check-in duties along with the phlebotomy. She was fine and efficient. I wouldn't mind coming back for other labs. Due to the holiday season and time of day there were no local pharmacies open. The doc went above and beyond to find me a pharmacy that was open and close enough by so I could start the tamiflu ASAP. My meds were ready in 10 mins and I could not be more grateful. The wait time was awful sitting there for an hour but believe the docs urgency in prescribing my meds prevented me from getting much worse. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.
