I know, how hard can a hairless dog be to groom? Well, to make it look less like he was hairless and more like it was just a groom...I guess for me it would be tricky lol. To them, it's easy, haha! Anyway, Kelly opened his new place in Star and Frankie and I continued to go there until Frankie's passing last year. Spoiled Dog is literally like 5-7 mins from my house. Frankie's old spot is more than 20 and probably even more now that the amount of traffic has increased dramatically in just the past year. It's sad. I wanted to take my new little guy, Alfie to Kelly, but I decided to return to Spoiled Dog. Either choice would have been good, but I 1000% have lucked out with another great groomer that works at Spoiled Dog. His name is, Jordan. Kelly even spoke very highly of Jordan, so I knew Alfie was in good hands. There are mixed reviews about Spoiled Dog on here and Google. My reviews I always try to be as straightforward as possible. If something is shit, I have absolutely NO problems writing about it. I am not however, someone who will like Karen out for a min and write a bad review for something so minor. Something people do too often with online reviews. I've noticed the bad reviews are mainly about another person at this place. That's whatever. Jordan is Alfie's groomer and again, I've lucked out because he's incredible on so many levels. Jordan is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, for starters. He is so sweet with Alfie. Alfie immediately LOVED him and I was kind of surprised by that. Alfie isn't even a year yet, so he gets a little freaked out around new people/places etc. I took him to Jordan the first time just to get his nails trimmed. Alfie basically cuddled right in his arms and let him do it. I think Alfie would scream bloody fn murder if I tried or he would think I was playing with him lol. You should see us when I'm brushing him. GOOD. LORD. Hahahaha! Jordan on top of being excellent with Alfie, is an excellent groomer. This last groom, Nov 9th, he did exactly what I wanted and then some. I know some of us can be a pain in the ass when describing what we want done, I even apologized just in case I was being "that guy" haha! Jordan was so sweet about it. So friendly. Working any job in dealing with the public is extremely challenging. I can't even imagine what it must be like for a groomer lol...especially people who are real nasty. I guess to some degree because grooming is not cheap, people are ok to know what they want. It's not ok to be a massive dick tho especially to someone who is working on our kids :) That was quite the ramble huh? Haha! I'm so glad I found Jordan. It was meant to be. Alfie loves him, I love him hahaha, I absolutely love his skills and his abilities to connect with the animals. He is truly an outstanding talent. Yeah fuck you're planning on trying this place out, seek out Jordan. You won't be disappointed. The place is super clean, spacious. They have kennels, boarding whatnot. I mean, it's a doggy spa haha! I won't ramble too much more. Yelp will cut me off and then I'll turn into a super Karen on my side of the screen haha! Spoiled Dog is a wonderful spot and that's because of Jordan. I'm glad I decided to go back here. It's about $50 for his groom. Is that pricey? To me, yes lol. With all the people moving here tho, I'm sure that's one of the reasons the prices went up. It's also pricey (imo) for a 5lb yorkie, but the important thing is...he's a great groomer, knows his shit, and is excellent with Alfie. It's very hard to find a good groomer who REALLY enjoys his job. Jordan is just that. You can see immediately in his finished product that he loves what he does and just watching him interact with the dogs...again, you can see he loves his line of work. I imagine it's very rewarding. I said well how do you know whether or not you have availability I haven't told you my dates she says well what are the dates? and I said well it's gonna be sometime in September and another time in October and she asked how big is your dog? I said she's a black lab. She says oh I quit boarding big dogs. It's at the end of the day and you know I just don't have time to talk about this right now and I don't take dogs unless they've been crated before or have been in a kennel before. I said well my dog has been crated before, and she asked me "how do you know?"! She then asked me if I'm new to area and how long have I lived in Boise - crazy talk - what on earth does that have to do with boarding g my dog. At that point, I made the decision to end the call and not go any further. Good grief with the way she was short and rude behavior It was clear that the owner is not wanting to have any additional business and wants a bad review and no referrals so I told her that I didn't care for her tone and that I was not interested. Then she hung up! Wow.

The groomer also did a good job, and she would come out clean, cute, and smelling much better. The only complaint I had was that they don't express the anal glands, which was part of every service she'd gotten before (or so I was told). I got a call from the owner/manager of the groomer's business, and he said that the veterinarians in the area recommended that groomers not do it, because it's usually taken care of by the natural processes when the dog poops. And if, for some reason, the dog gets them impacted, it's best for the vet to take care of it. I'm a little suspicious that the vets just want to preserve as many treatments as they can for themselves because it helps their bottom line, but who knows? Anyway, hopefully, my dog won't and that service in the near future (although she has needed it in the pst due to impacted gland, which the vet did take care of because she had been incessantly licking her butt and I was worried about her.

I just attached a pic of him...my heart and soul! I love him so much. Anyway, I go here for his food and some times to get him treats, IFFFF the other is place I get them is sold out. So I went here last week to get him a bag of dog food. Everything is great at this store. The layout is nice, store is super clean, prices are insane! But find me a pet store where prices are reasonable. You can't! Because they don't exist! Haha! I will say this tho, all their winter clothes were marked down. So I got my lil dude this diggity dank thick ass sweater! It's red, so that goes great with his skin tone haha! The inside is lined with that stuff that looks like fur, but clearly, it's not fur. How horrible would it be to put another animals fur and your dog! I guarantee there are people out there tho who do that. One person who comes to mind would be...Paris Hilton. (Rolling my eyes at that one because I bet it's true lol). Anyway, this sweater will be great for him next year because he's so tiny and winter is rough on the lil man. It was normally like $25 for a dog who weighs 4lbs. I know! I paid FIVVVVVVVE FOR IT! Five!!! At fn Petco! Never thought that'd happen haha! So if you find good deals on clothes...it's at the end of the seasons when they mark everything down. You won't find deals on food....UNLESS you save the coupon for $5 they send out....once a year! And 5 dollhairs off 20 dollhairs or more haha! I used it this year. I was allllll kinds of excited too! EFF YEAH!! FIVE BUCKS! hahah! The simplest things in life excite me haha! He acted like he truly hated his job and he truly didn't give a f--k what he said or how he acted lol. He swore in front of me probably 4 or 5x in a 2 min period lol. He said the BIG F, YALL! I know when u look at me, you get those "I'm not like a regular mom! I'm a cool mom!" vibes and u know why? Because it's true! Do I care that he spoke like that? Nah not really. Do I think it was a bad image for the store? As a former retail store manager....yes, I absolutely do. I'm just saying he may want to be careful because there's always that one (or ten) customer who will lose their sh*t over the way he talks while working. I am currently working away from home for long periods of time so I wanted to do something special…read morefor my kids and get them a beta fish. My kids have had betas before so we have the left over tanks. Since I'm traveling a lot they stay with their grandma and like to bring their fish so I got a travel tank AND all the other stuff needed including a new fish. After sifting threw their half dead collection of fish my wife and I settled on one. Once we finally approached the counter and the man assisting us had rang up everything we had, a small very rude woman comes up out of no where after my wife and I spent 20 min in, what she later told me, was her section. She starts very rudely saying I need a different tank. I said, okay I have a tank... And then she asks, "well what are the dimensions?" I then replied with, "I don't know exactly, are you really not going to sell this to me?" She then goes on to say she is the animal care taker and this is "HER" department and "SHE" decides who gets animals. Which is crazy because half the fish were dead and we were in "her" department for almost a half an hour and she was no where to be found until we where all rang up and ready to pay. Has anyone else had to bring proof of tank to buy a beta fish and spend money with Petco? The woman's name was Ember and she was extremely rude. She could have approached the situation a thousand different ways that didn't make my wife and I feel so small and demeaned. So now unfortunately because of Ember, I can no longer get a beta fish for my children at my neighborhood Petco because apparently Ember decides on who is and who isn't allowed to buy and own beta fish from Petco in eagle. My final comment is more of a question.... how do you give the dimensions of a fish bowl??? Honest question if someone knows the answer.
