This'll be short, I promise haha! I go into Petco in Eagle every few months to get my lil man his food. A bag of dog food with my 4lb yorkie tends to last a long time lol. I just attached a pic of him...my heart and soul! I love him so much. Anyway, I go here for his food and some times to get him treats, IFFFF the other is place I get them is sold out. So I went here last week to get him a bag of dog food. Everything is great at this store. The layout is nice, store is super clean, prices are insane! But find me a pet store where prices are reasonable. You can't! Because they don't exist! Haha! I will say this tho, all their winter clothes were marked down. So I got my lil dude this diggity dank thick ass sweater! It's red, so that goes great with his skin tone haha! The inside is lined with that stuff that looks like fur, but clearly, it's not fur. How horrible would it be to put another animals fur and your dog! I guarantee there are people out there tho who do that. One person who comes to mind would be...Paris Hilton. (Rolling my eyes at that one because I bet it's true lol). Anyway, this sweater will be great for him next year because he's so tiny and winter is rough on the lil man. It was normally like $25 for a dog who weighs 4lbs. I know! I paid FIVVVVVVVE FOR IT! Five!!! At fn Petco! Never thought that'd happen haha! So if you find good deals on clothes...it's at the end of the seasons when they mark everything down. You won't find deals on food....UNLESS you save the coupon for $5 they send out....once a year! And 5 dollhairs off 20 dollhairs or more haha! I used it this year. I was allllll kinds of excited too! EFF YEAH!! FIVE BUCKS! hahah! The simplest things in life excite me haha! Sometimes they have sales too. A dollar or two off the regular price. I'm guessing most don't know when that happens tho because Petco isn't somewhere we go to weekly, like regular stores and I hardly see an ad for them. Ok I sound super bitter, but WAIT! The best bitterness is coming up! Hahaha! I still have it 4 stars because it's a nice store, very clean, and it's cheaper than Petsmart! Ok. I went to check out and dude approaches me to ring me up. He had a fluorescent green goatee and his hair was the same color. That's fine, I guess. I suppose all of us in our early 30s go through that stage....(sense any sarcasm? Lol) He was nice-ish. He acted like he truly hated his job and he truly didn't give a f--k what he said or how he acted lol. He swore in front of me probably 4 or 5x in a 2 min period lol. He said the BIG F, YALL! I know when u look at me, you get those "I'm not like a regular mom! I'm a cool mom!" vibes and u know why? Because it's true! Do I care that he spoke like that? Nah not really. Do I think it was a bad image for the store? As a former retail store manager....yes, I absolutely do. I'm just saying he may want to be careful because there's always that one (or ten) customer who will lose their sh*t over the way he talks while working. Normally I'd type out the word sh*t but I guess that would be super tacky when writing a review about someone who curses like crazy in front of his customers. I'm just happy my lil man wasn't there! His little doggie ears don't need to be hearing none of that!......... he hears it enough at home, hahaha! Ok peeps! I guess that's it! I am currently working away from home for long periods of time so I wanted to do something special for my kids and get them a beta fish. My kids have had betas before so we have the left over tanks. Since I'm traveling a lot they stay with their grandma and like to bring their fish so I got a travel tank AND all the other stuff needed including a new fish. After sifting threw their half dead collection of fish my wife and I settled on one. Once we finally approached the counter and the man assisting us had rang up everything we had, a small very rude woman comes up out of no where after my wife and I spent 20 min in, what she later told me, was her section. She starts very rudely saying I need a different tank. I said, okay I have a tank... And then she asks, "well what are the dimensions?" I then replied with, "I don't know exactly, are you really not going to sell this to me?" She then goes on to say she is the animal care taker and this is "HER" department and "SHE" decides who gets animals. Which is crazy because half the fish were dead and we were in "her" department for almost a half an hour and she was no where to be found until we where all rang up and ready to pay. Has anyone else had to bring proof of tank to buy a beta fish and spend money with Petco? The woman's name was Ember and she was extremely rude. She could have approached the situation a thousand different ways that didn't make my wife and I feel so small and demeaned. So now unfortunately because of Ember, I can no longer get a beta fish for my children at my neighborhood Petco because apparently Ember decides on who is and who isn't allowed to buy and own beta fish from Petco in eagle. My final comment is more of a question.... how do you give the dimensions of a fish bowl??? Honest question if someone knows the answer. read more

DONT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! I brought my dog (frenchie/chihuahua) for a bath, nails trimmed, anal gland expression. She said it would take 2 hours. (It's a small dog and there's no hair shaving, just a bath!) I specifically told her to make sure she doesn't get soap in her eyes because at another place that happened and I had to take my dog to the vet because she scratched her eye from rubbing it. So she was aware of that. I run errands for the first hour, the second hour I wait in the parking lot of petco. 2 hours hit and no text message from the groomer. She told me I would get a text when she was done. So I go in and she's working on another dog! So I waited at the counter for about 5 minutes and she finally came out. I said that I never got a text and she acted weird. I told her I was waiting in the parking lot the last hour and asked when my dog was done. She snarky said I DONT KNOW. So I am irritated at this point knowing my dog was in a cage for who knows how long! I go up to pay and I'm complaining to the cashier and he says "I'd never bring my dogs here." So I get home, my dog can't keep her eye open which tells me that the stupid groomer didn't listen to my instructions about soap. PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE! read more

Took my dog in to be groomed. She is 13 years of age loves it when she has been shaved down. I'm not too fussy. As soon as I dropped her off they called me and said they came across a bump. And they just stopped grooming her! I did tell them that she had a bump on her side. been there twice before no problem . I was furious. they left half her back done one leg not done. She looked like she had a mohawk.! read more

I've taken our dog here twice and he isn't a fan. Unless you have a very patient and docile dog that enjoys a spa day, this isn't your place. The groomer was kind but didn't wash his face. Our dog is a great dog but after 2 hours of grooming, he is over it. read more

My doberman mix will not let me trim her nails--ever! I have now taken her to the Eagle Petco every month for the last year and they do a great job every time--I like all the groomers there! They finish quickly and don't charge that much so I always like to tip them something extra. When picking up my dog from her grooming appointment, I (the client) is required to pay in advance of receiving the dog. While doing so, the front-end cashier asks if you would like to leave a tip for the groomer. What kind of scam is that! In what other professions do they verbally beg for a tip before you receive the product? Very tacky and unprofessional. Tips are earned after the product has been delivered. No one should be verbally asking for a tip anyway. read more

This Petco has amazing service. I have been going to this location for years and have always been impressed by the employees kindness. My dog just hurt her paw recently and I needed some liquid bandage. The store closed at 8:00PM and I was about five minutes away but the store was about to close. I called the store and the person who answered the phone was nothing but kind and told me I could still come. When I got there they had the liquid bandage product ready and were VERY KIND. Booked a grooming appointment for Sunday at 8am. Staff didn't tell us that the actual store would be closed until 9. Husband shows up with our dog, gets out of the vehicle and goes to the front of the store and sees they open at 9 so takes her for a walk until they open. I called in to see what was going on and was told they saw him get out of his vehicle with the dog, see the store was closed, and then leave. So no one ever came and told him that they could let him in, and because he "missed the appointment" they canceled it. It was never told to me, nor was it in the paperwork anywhere that you have to force the doors open and go in a dark/closed store for your appointment. It was more than 15 minutes for him to get back up there (18 to be exact) after 8:00 and they wouldn't budge on letting her back in. We waited so long for this appointment, and both the employee and the manager didn't care AT ALL. It was shocking how they were almost happy she wasn't coming in, and my only option was to wait for another appointment weeks later. I know I shouldn't be surprised, it seems to be the norm at every business nowadays to have poor customer service- but sheesh, disappointing! read more

Tried coming back and they gave my dog the worst cut ever. She looks like a rat, not a pure bred Labradoodle. They Tried to say I should have went through what I wanted before. First and foremost the manager at this location is very respectful and understanding. I scheduled a grooming appointment for my husky (6 years old). When I showed up ten minutes prior to the scheduled time and was told that the appointment was canceled. Witch my wife or myself did not do so. Rather than try to see why the appointment was canceled one of the groomers Kendra gave a very unprofessional and rude attitude towards my wife and myself. I did not want to feed into this negativity and asked to speak with the manager. After doing so the manager and myself came to the conclusion that they had the wrong telephone number on file in which a text message was sent to and that number canceled the appointment. The manager then reschedule our appointment for the following day. The following day I brought my dog to drop off to be groomed and no more than two hours later I get a call stating that they will not finish the grooming due to my dog is aggressive and biting. My dog has never bit anyone or shown aggression. She has always gotten a very good report card when coming back from the groomers. When I came to pick up my dog from the groomer they advised me of the situation and that some dogs just have off days. She also told me that this time of the season a lot of people get their dogs groomed and we are very busy so we tried to get this done for you as quickly as possible. Which tells me they rushed through the grooming. My dog was still very wet and still had a smell barely any brushing it's as if they just hosed her down and decided that's enough. I requested to see the footage of when my animal was groomed and was told that the footage is confidential and I am not able to see it. Once again I would like to say that the manager was very understanding of the situation. However I do not feel comfortable bringing my dog or any other animal to this location ever again if I could I would give negative stars read more

Dog Grooming Bad experience and reaction by the assistant manager Brandon ...We where told it would take 3-4 hours for our labradoodle to be groomed. After multiple trips to see if he was ready after 4 and 5 hours we get a phone call saying he is ready after 6 hours Managers reaction was "we are busy" .....to which I responded "well don't over schedule ".... I looked around for a bit and then was greeted by another friendly & helpful associate. I told her about Dusty and his food issues. She was knowledgeable and shared some ideas with me. Just moved here and was familiar with Petco grooming. Had been a client for years with my doodle in CA. Annette stated she had been grooming for 18yrs and very experienced. I decided to make an appt. for the following week. Showed up for appointment, stating I didn't have one but could fit me in. Not happy with that statement starting off. Stood forever to get my dog checked in. Four hrs later for pickup my dog looked unfinished. Didn't blow her out, left nails long, had pieces that were uneven all over. Basically a mess of a job. I was so taken back knowing it couldn't be fixed I paid and left. Long story short skip this place. They are not well trained and lack staffing. read more

Worst experience twice with the Grooming department! We scheduled an online appointment and the Groomers were extremely rude and said we didn't have an appointment. This is the second time this has happened. We asked to speak to the manager. We have tried to call the store. 1. Need to determine what's going on with website appointments. 2. Grooming staff at the Eagle Petco should not be allowed to interact with customers. Hopefully, they are better with the dogs they work with than with the dog's owners. I was treated VERY rudely by both women at the grooming station. I forgot my dog's vaccination records, so had to drive home and back with the records. (I had no problem with that, as it was my error). They looked at it and said it wasn't enough. A valid up to date vaccination record AND a current rabies tag - but wouldn't accept it. They didn't offer to confirm with my vet - nothing. I will never frequent a Petco store again. As an FYI, I have never written a poor Yelp review before - just lots of positive ones, as I don't like to be negative, but this was beyond "having a bad day". read more

I talked to 3/4 of the people who work at the grooming salon and every one of them was unbelievably rude and unkind. Who wants a mean person taking after their sweet babies? not me. i do not recommend anyone getting groomed here and i will happily drive an extra 20 minutes to have GOOD service. If I could give it a zero I would. I made an appt to get my dog groomed online. I called several times to make sure they had my dogs medical records with no call back. Since I had taken him here before I knew they had them but wanted to confirm. We took my dog in for grooming and they would not take him as his rabies expired yesterday. I understand the rules - the rudeness they exhibited was uncalled for (maybe because they are in Eagle and think they are above it all???) Besides that, she listens carefully and cares for your fur baby.
