Not like leaving a child at kindergarten, but more like she knew she was gonna get hurt. When I'd pick her up she acted like she was making a jailbreak. She probably would have drug me out of the place if she could. That is not a joke - she would have. Last time after being home awhile, I discovered dried blood in the fur of her ears. She'd been more and more fearful with every grooming drop-off and suddenly I had evidence of why. That was what prompted me to look for another spot and the good reviews convinced me to give Groomingtails a try and we are very pleased with their treatment of our pup and their work. Here's something amazing I have to add: I don't know why but ever since her grooming, when it is rainy and I bring the pup in and I give her a quick dry with a bath towel SHE SMELLS FRESH WITH THE SCENT SHE HAD FROM LAST GROOMING! I am floored. She is about to have her next grooming and that still works weeks after her last grooming. THAT, is lasting results! And her teeth were pure-white when they were done! Now she wants to drink her coffee through a straw,... oh, wait, that's my wife that does that! Anyway, yeah, it cost more but she's treated gently and the job is done well and I don't feel like I am handing her over to be tortured! I just hope their prices don't go up anytime soon! My girls always come out looking and smelling great, with a cute bandana, plus they always get the cutest little goodie bag AND I get a super adorable photo of them up against a different, seasonal backdrop each and every time. I cannot stress enough how much of a dog whisperer Danielle is! If you have a dog that hates being bathed or is scare of strangers, they will be instantly at ease with Danielle. Here's my summary of Doodle Dog Daycare: I do not say this lightly...This is the best day care/boarding facility I have brought my kids to. Some great things I noticed with Doodle Dog Daycare: (1) Everyone I have met genuinely loves and cares about animals and they *know* my dogs and give me an great summary of how their day/stay went. (2) The video cameras are awesome! I get to see my babies while they are playing during the day and I can even watch them at night when they are sleeping! (3) They are super-responsive. Doodle Dog Daycare has always responded very quickly to my emails. Love it! (4) My dogs come home tired and happy! I like to see how my dogs react when I bring them to a new place. My dogs are excited when we turn down the road to the facility because they know they are going somewhere fun! They also come home tired and happy. (I have had previous experiences at other places where they clearly were not happy, not tired and ready to run out of the door. In contrast, they love Doodle Dog Daycare!) (5) This place is clean! I took a tour of the facility and one of the cool features was some kind of filtration system which helps to clean the air. The facility definitely looked very clean and smelled clean. I have been to other places where my dogs come home smelling terrible (resulting in an immediate bath) and it made me wonder about the cleanliness of the facility. There is no question here! In fact, when one of my dogs accidentally peed in the lobby, they marked it with a towel so that they could disinfect that area after I left. (6) They sometimes even text me cute pictures of my kids during their stay! (7) When my babies went to bed for the night, I happened to be watching the video camera at the right time and got to see them getting some personal attention time before they went to bed. It made me feel so good that they were getting some love since I couldn't be there! I love this place!

Everyone has been friendly and reasonable and it is obvious that they love dogs. My dogs love it here too; as soon as I get near the building they get excited and the vocal one can't stop barking when she gets out of the truck to go inside, lol. The facilities are great for socializing, heat control, and boarding. I can board them both in a single "cottage" for a discounted rate, although I must warn you that it is not cheap. However it seems to be competitive for the quality; you get what you pay for. Their time policy is very reasonable as well. You can drop them off BEFORE 2:00 PM for boarding that night at no extra charge and they will arrange for Sunday pickup. They require a "meet and greet" introduction to see how your dog does in a social setting; a free 4-hour boarding. They also require strict immunizations and spaying/neutering with proof but they cannot control owners who bring in dogs who may be sick so there is a risk in that regard. But the facilities are all artificial so any bodily fluids/waste, and potential infectious agents may be treated, unlike facilities with earthen ground. If for instance giardia, a common but troublesome parasite gets into the earth it is very difficult to remove which is a huge issue in kennels. I am trying them out for grooming but they are short-handed right now and I am still working with the groomer to get the look I want.
