They then shared with me they had web cams you can use to watch your pet while they are at daycare, but they turn them off from 12pm-2pm during " nap time " ... where they put the dogs in crates for 2 hours. i asked why they have to turn the cameras off and they said it's so they can clean the building. Personally, if i'm bringing my dog to socialize and get out energy during the day, i don't want him to be locked in a crate alone for 2 hours, let alone with the cameras off!!?? super suspicious to me. House of Hounds has always been accommodating to boarding her when we need. The have food available for boarded dogs if you forget to pack food for your pup (which I may or may not have done ). There are many different dogs of all sizes that get to play at house of hounds. Puppy play care is pretty popular there and you can watch your dog play at house of hounds online while they are there. They have various packages available from puppy care to grooming packages. They also offer discounts for boarding if you board multiple dogs. As with any place that allows dogs, having your pet spayed or neutered is always appreciated or you are boarding your pet at its own risk. We absolutely love that we found house of hounds and are so thankful that they love our Gracie girl!

When they brought it out they said that the blanket got wet from a water dish while our dog was playing with a toy in the kennel. When I got home I discovered that the blanket was actually soaked in urine. It makes me so sad to think that my dog had no choice other than to relieve himself on the blanket...something he would never do. On the first boarding, his dog bed was wet but I chalked it up to a kong treat he might have gotten. I normally do not write reviews but was so disappointed with the care that my dog got that I felt compelled to share. This place came highly recommended to me...unfortunately I can't say the same.

Instead, River City Vet turned us away…read more During Blue's yearly checkup I mentioned that there had been some respiratory/sneezing issues for several months but this was of no concern to them. We were told he was healthy. He wasn't. I brought Blue in for a weight check 3-4 weeks after his checkup. He had lost nearly a pound in that time. He wouldn't eat. His behavior had changed. No one followed up on my concerns. I called River City Vet a few days after the weight check because Blue was lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink. We were told they didn't have time for us. I took Blue in to West Vet for IV fluids every day for 3 days. My husband was out of the country and made an emergency flight home from Japan while we struggled to keep Blue alive so he could say goodbye to his favorite human. Blue died in our arms on Easter Sunday, a few hours after my husband got home. He was only 6 years old.

They have over the top friendly staff, which 2 staffers, are always watching the dogs with spray bottles. They have a covered area for dogs to cool of under and every other hour they take my Dane in to relax. I highly recommend this doggie camp!!

I've told her this but i keep getting her favorites. I don't want them in my house anymore. I have learned not to patronize such places once this starts to happen. Julie will also double book and even triple book, and i heard she tells sitters to put priority on dogs and do cats after. Sometimes my 9:00 cat appointment gets pushed to 10:15 because of her scheduling problems. I'm going with the many, many local sitters who do even better jobs and they are invested in our neighborhood cats. Julie being "bonded" means nothing but she says that's her strength. Ok.
