I got a text notification that I should look at the website and was bummed but also glad for clear direction. I went there, saw a 1 day puppy training course and texted to sign up. I got an automated reply saying she was out of town starting that next morning and for the weekend. On a whim and because I was desperate (think newborn baby and no sleep and panic...that's how I was feeling), I texted back a question. Guess what!!!! She replied! At what was now 11 pm, she sent me resources, encouragement and wisdom! And she assured me she'd get me in as soon as she was home!!! I was (and am) BEYOND impressed by her care for me, the puppy and excellent customer service!!! I got her name with glowing recommendations from my friend Amy and now I'll add mine!!! Even though I realized it's not the right time for a puppy in my home, I will 100% use Julie at Scotch Pines when I DO get a dog and I will recommend her every opportunity I get!!!! Go there! Contrary to the information on their site, and they convey over the phone, they do hold adoptable dogs and are not first come first serve when it comes to adoptions. They wasted my Saturday by telling me that they don't hold animals and that no appointment was needed or available for Saturday or to be told that the dog I wanted to adopt for the past week was on a "wait list" despite being listed as adoptable on their website. If a dog isn't adoptable take him off of the website. First come first serve and a wait list are two mutually exclusive concepts.

We sent our 5 year old dog to CRK9 for the 3-4 week training because of his social and separation anxieties, which pretty much made it impossible to take him anywhere. His anxieties were due to his overall lack of training and consistency on our part as dog owners, so we sought CRK9's help in teaching him the things we didn't/couldn't. Kevin and Allie have shown him how to be comfortable and confident, and taught us how to be as well. He's such a good boy and finally has the skills to channel his energy in a healthy way. We're so glad we brought him here because deserves to have a happy, fun, and comfortable life too. Highly recommend CRK9 if you're struggling to give your dog the tools and skills they need, their boarding program is well worth it. Only concern I had was when I was checking out a manager came up and started asking the checker questions about a guinea pig that was returned. She wanted to know why he didn't get some information such as the sex and how important it is. She was very nice when asking and I understand it's important to educate but there is a time and place. I felt sorry for the poor boy as he was trying to help me and satisfy the manager. Just a little uncomfortable.

I needed to use the restroom while there. If the cleanliness of a restroom is any indication on how well the rest of the store is, I would have to come to the conclusion that this store wouldn't be a good place to take your pet for anything related to health and grooming!!!! I've seen outhouses cleaner than this restroom was! As we were checking out a couple of men emerged from the office area, I made a complaint with them before we left. I should hope that they will do something about that issue
