    Thanksgiving Menu
    Adam D.

My son and I walked in no reservation on Thanksgiving for dinner. It was an "on the fly" moment. The general manager was very helpful and professional. They told me it would be a five minute wait to be sat at a table. Ambiance was nice. Fire. Smells. Nice bar. Within five minutes we had a table. That's when we met TORI. She was everything I look for in delivering a high class, five star experience. Not only was she our server she was also the bartender. She made me probably the best Pear Martini I've ever had. We ordered from the Thanksgiving menu and tried almost everything. The food here is an infusion of flavor. Everything was phenomenal. Going back to Tori. She made the experience what it was, knowledgeable, fun, beautiful and professional. I'll definitely be back and recommend Queenie's to everyone! Don't even hesitate just go! Cheers.

5 star service with a smile. Unique steakhouse in the heart of Denton. It was tough to choose, wishing I had my crew with me to try everything on the menu. Tomato Basil Soul, had a ribbon of balsamic giving it something extra-extra special. Salmon was perfectly cooked, and dress with the smoothest cauliflower and poblano purée... ambiance was set for a date night or girls night, and staff was prompt and courteous.

Had a wonderful time here with my dad. The ambience was excellent as soon as we walked in. It was warm and cozy, moody lighting. Wish we were there when there was live music. I'm sure that would've been the icing on the cake! Katie, our server, was excellent. She had a lot of great recommendations, like the buffalo cauliflower and elk sliders. Both were appetizing and packed a lot of flavor. The entree, beef tenderloin, was pretty good. The "crust" tasted a bit burnt. I didn't like the Demi-glace on top, but that's a preference. I'd much prefer the beef tenderloin al a Carte. I ordered medium rare, was closer to the rare side. Two of the asparagus didn't have the hard part of the stalk trimmed off, so I had to spit that out. The hash under the steak was yummy. My dad ordered the same and his was extremely rare. We asked Katie to bring it back to cook it more; when she brought it back it looked exactly the same. He also didn't care for the Demi-glace. The mac and cheese was as forgettable. Very bland. I liked the noodle choice as it held the sauce well, and the baked topping added a nice texture difference. Wouldn't order again. The crispy potato side was delicious. I could've ordered that with the sliders and buffalo cauliflower and I would've been very satisfied. I'd like to try Queenie's again with a different entree and skip the mac and cheese. The service was outstanding, from Katie to the manager that came to speak to the table. The drinks were good as well. The food was pretty good.

I was excited to find that Tim Love had a little hidden gem off the square in Denton, so I quickly made reservations for my finance's birthday dinner. From the moment we walked in the door, they made us both feel so welcomed and special. They immediately wished him a happy birthday without prompting which confirmed that they had read my notes in our reservation. We started with a cocktail made to order at the bar until time for our reservation. The bartender did an excellent job of recommending the perfect whiskey. Once we were seated, our server Ryan took excellent care of us. She thoughtfully asked about our wine preferences and made an awesome recommendation. Then, she walked us through the menu and clearly explained how the courses would be timed and prepared. And, the manager David came by several times to check on us but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our meal. We had the grilled oysters to start, and what a way to kick off the meal. The flavor pairing of lime, serrano and manchego cheese were so good. Then, we shared the butter lettuce salad which the kitchen thoughtfully split. They have really found a way to elevate their version of a wedge with the dressing, lardons and pepitas. Then, we both had the beef tenderloin which had been thoughtful prepared, seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was so tender that we didn't even need our steak knives. Finally, we finished our meal with the whiskey carmel, bacon sundae. Just Wow!!! I am always surprised by the food scene in Denton, but our meal rivaled some of the best dining experiences that we've had anywhere in the world.

A Truly Special Birthday Experience…read more We visited this restaurant to celebrate my son's 16th birthday with a large table of nine, and it turned out to be an incredibly special experience. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every steak was cooked to perfection, and every one of the boys said it was one of the best meals they had ever had. The Wagyu steak was particularly memorable--one of the boys actually had tears in his eyes because of how incredible it tasted! The service was exceptional as well. The owner Rick personally came out to greet our table, which made the evening feel very personal and welcoming. The highlight for the boys was when Chef Anton came out with a special palate cleanser featuring house-made sorbet paired with goat cheese and pistachios. It was such a thoughtful and unique touch. The boys were so impressed with Chef Anton that they asked to take a picture with him afterward. From the incredible food to the warm hospitality and those unexpected special touches, this was so much more than just a dinner. It was a memorable experience that made my son's 16th birthday truly special. We are so grateful and will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, last night's meal fell well short of those expectations. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger, and it was a major letdown. It honestly tasted like someone on their last day prepared it. The bun was soggy, a small tomato slice, and if there was any BBQ sauce on it, it was practically invisible. On a positive note, the rest of the table had a better experience. My wife's catfish was good, and the kids said their meals were decent, so it seems like the kitchen is still hitting the mark on some of their menu items. The tartar sauce was different. Overall, pretty disappointed with the burger quality given what Texas Roadhouse used to deliver. Next time we come back, I'll definitely be steering clear of the burger menu and sticking to a steak. If I was to make a note on anything else the music was a little loud so conversations were a little tough.

My favorites are the Rooster Tails (fried onions) and the chips and queso, but the real stars of the menu are the burgers. They're always fresh, hot, and juicy. The food was all pretty good for the most part not wowed but good! I have no complaints about my plate; it came with a great portion of food and was reasonably priced for BBQ. I ordered pulled pork and a side of corn and tomato salad and coleslaw. The sides were different from what I've had before, but I did enjoy them. Their coleslaw is more vinegar than mayo-forward. The pulled pork was well-seasoned, and the side of BBQ was the perfect match. My margarita tasted as if they made the mix in-house, and I prefer this. Store-bought mixers are usually either too sweet or too sour. However, if it is store-bought, I'm impressed! This was not a sweet margarita. My partner went for the Tennessee Texas Hot Sandwich; I did try it. There was hardly any heat despite it being their spicy chicken sandwich. I'm not sure if they make their chips in house but it seemed so.

Nothing is horrible or tastes bad but nothing is exceptional either. My first time there, I ordered The Big Salad, the name is quite misleading it was anything but big. There was surprisingly few of the ingredients that were supposed to be in the salad. It was supposed to have mushrooms, avocados, sunflower seeds, tomato, carrots, , diced beets and red onions with chicken. There were exactly three small strips of chicken that were unremarkable and certainly not a full portion of chicken. I certainly expected to get a serving of chicken for the cost of the salad. I got exactly two mushroom slices and the same minimal amount of each ingredient. I expected a bountiful salad, but got nothing more than a disappointing salad with a lack of the promised vegetables. Vegetables are inexpensive so I can't imagine why this restaurant is so parsimonious in putting some on their big salad. They do have an excellent happy hour with drinks really inexpensive. Also, they have a deal on appetizers during happy hour with those at $5.00. If you want to save some money, have an appetizer as your entree. One of the ladies in our group got the spinach dip with tortilla chips and bread. It looked yummy and she had some leftover to take home. We had a big group the first time I went. We were seated near a door that went to the patio. Every time someone went in and out a huge gust of air came in. They set up our table in the wrong place. Before we were done with dinner my hair looked like I had been in a hurricane. The wait staff is competent and gets our drinks and food out quickly. That is a plus in my book. So ho-hum bland food with good service. Sometimes you don't get everything you want. I will continue going with my friends and drinking a double gin and tonic to make my meals more enjoyable.
