Food was okay, however our bill was not Correct. After waiting over 30 minutes for the server to have our gift cards applied to our kiosk in order to pay we left without bringing the mistakes in our final check. The restaurant was not comfortable, definitely having some air conditioning issues. We were initially taken to a table that was so sticky and dirty that the bread plates were actually stuck to the tabletop. We moved over to another table, better but not totally clean. In fact, while we were waiting for our server to bring back our check a couple arrived and after sitting down for only a minute they got up and left saying the table was nasty. This is the 3rd time we've visited this location in recent weeks, returning after years having not dining here. It was my birthday and the servers were amazing. The server we had was Raina. I couldn't ask for any better. She always had our drinks topped off. The food was great. I have to eat Gluten free and I was able to get a filet, a sweet potato, and even a brownie dessert! My steak wasn't warm so the butter didn't melt, it was a little tough but I did order med well. The BEST service ever in Denton. Sergio was our server and he kept up the vibe so much. We were celebrating a birthday dinner and he honestly kept up with our lovely banter and odd requests. We had a delicious meal tonight starting with an awesome bloomin onion. I'd show a picture but we snarfed it too fast! Our server was incredible Carli!!! Ask for her when you come her for dinner. Other guest had chicken with blossom spices and liked it very much. Strawberry lemonade was just regular pink lemonade, no strawberry in sight! We loved Raina! She did the best possible with a glowing smile even on a crazy holiday traffic day. The managers... it's good to see that one of them stepped up to manage the wait list, unfortunately we were caught in the transition and our phone number was never taken so we had to keep checking where we were on the list since there was no space to wait inside within ear shot and it seemed like many folks left before being called. We chose to find a spot at the bar within eye shot of the front entrance when we were greeted by Raina. She saw the bar top was covered in dirty plates and cleared a spot for us. We ordered a couple of drinks while being anxious of missing our spot to be called for a table. We contemplated just ordering food at be bar but I felt like a cleared table would be more comfortable to eat a meal at. We ended up being seated at the bar area anyway (after I checked in at the hostess stand again) which we were being served by Raina again! When our salads were served we were still waiting for silverware. After waiting for over 1 hour to get our seats/salads we were very hungry and my husband just started eating his salad with his fingers little by little. I saw a female manger walk past us at least 2 times and not once did she acknowledge us or recognize that we were missing silverware. The server who dropped of my delicious gingerbread chocolate martini was the one who graciously took my request for silverware and delivered. Don't get me wrong, the overall experience was good, food was delicious, one or two exceptional employees (don't know how many prepped the food), but lacked efficiency. Imagine how quickly folks could be served if the simple things like silverware or phone numbers taken at wait list would impact the experience? We read lots of the recent negative reviews and were a little worried to stop but Outback is one of the few chain restaurants that we still enjoy and we don't live near one so we gave it a try. We are glad we did. There were not many people there considering it was dinner service and we were sat quickly. The hostess was nice and held open the door for us all. The waiter, may have been new, and was a bit slow on the machine thing but did great with drinks and requests. We were checked on multiple times by other waitresses/waiters and the manager. I am updating my review from a couple of years ago. What a difference a few years make! This once great tasting restaurant with wonderful service has let itself go. The server was unfortunately too busy to help that many customers and the food was not cooked the way an Outback that we are used to across the country. The steaks were rare when we prefer medium well, and the crumbles of blue cheese we like one the side was forgotten. The steak was not up to the Outback standards. We usually order the surf and turf, which is now not part of the menu. One has to order it completely different. Surprise. I am sorry Outback we have taken this restaurant out of our favorite places to celebrate our families holidays. The server couldn't help that many people. Our table wasn't cleared of anything. This has kind of been a go to sit down eatery for the past 6 months, me and my boyfriend have been prob three times and I've been once with my mom. I always enjoy the bloomin' onion and the sauce that comes with it, so good! I'm clearly in a rut with my order, I always get the full rack of baby back ribs so I can have leftovers and it NEVER disappoints! My boyfriend usually get the ribeye, he is an extreme meat lover. He didn't check on us again.. meanwhile our littles are saying they need more food. Our food must've taken like 30 min to arrive. When it finally came, our steaks were over cooked, our pasta might've had a sprinkle of Alfredo, and again the server never came back to check on us. If the server is busy, the bored hostess probably could've jumped in to assist... just saying. He was young. They weren't that busy. Maybe they were short handed in the kitchen. Used to love outback, but like many other chains it seems to have gone the way of maximizing profits over any semblance of food quality. Spent $100 on 2 steak dinners and a kids meal on Christmas Eve. First, they did not give any bread with the meal. My wife's fillet was very poor quality and stringy, quite literally inedible. Baked Potatoes were undercooked, toppings were very little. Salads had slimy cucumbers in them. My ribeye was cooked medium rare, even though I requested medium well. The fat was not rendered at all. My daughter did not eat the kids sirloin because it was too chewy. Extremely disappointed and now that I look at yelp, seems par for the course for this restaurant/location. read more

I was set on just the app and cocktails, but our waiter sold me into trying out the steak and I've been thinking about it ever since! The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and loaded with flavor with an herb crust. The seasonal veggies I will never get steamed again. Be sure to order them grilled and thank me later (a great tip our waiter gave). Not pictured, but highly recommend- Bloomin' Onion and Wallaby Darned cocktail. The food was not very palatable. My wife and I ordered the Bloomin' Onion which is usually the best thing about this place. It came and we started going in and it just didn't taste the same as I have had before. My wife and I both discussed saying it wasn't as good as we had in the past. I looked at the bottom of the serving plate and noticed it was just floating in oil. I could have fried chicken with the amount of oil in the plate. Then came our entree's. I ordered a Cobb salad with grilled chicken, and wife ordered the crab topped Barumundi with seasoned rice and seasoned vegetables. My salad was fairly large except the grilled chicken. There was at most 3 oz of chicken on the salad. My wife's meal she said was very under seasoned. The seasoned steamed vegetables she said tasted like they didn't even use salt and pepper on them. Her fish she said was ok. She stated as usual that my cooking was much more delicious. I agreed and we both agreed not to try again. For the quality and amount of food you get it is way over priced. I dined in with my family to celebrate my birthday early and had a great experience. We got sat next to some noisy babies and thankfully the host was able to move us into a quieter table with our same amazing server, Kat. She had a trainee as well and she was great. They kept up with our refills and constant needs. Our food was great!!
