Went last night on a packed Saturday night for dinner. Luckily we put on names on the waitlist through the app (this is essential on weekends!) so a table was ready as soon as we got there. Me and my partner both got the sirloin. Hers medium and mine medium rare. And hers came out rarer than mine. We sent it back and they remade it with no fuss. It's been a few years since our last visit to Texas Roadhouse, and we used to remember the food quality being much higher. Unfortunately, last night's meal fell well short of those expectations. ​I ordered the Smokehouse Burger, and it was a major letdown. It honestly tasted like someone on their last day prepared it. The bun was soggy, a small tomato slice, and if there was any BBQ sauce on it, it was practically invisible. ​On a positive note, the rest of the table had a better experience. My wife's catfish was good, and the kids said their meals were decent, so it seems like the kitchen is still hitting the mark on some of their menu items. The tartar sauce was different. ​Overall, pretty disappointed with the burger quality given what Texas Roadhouse used to deliver. Next time we come back, I'll definitely be steering clear of the burger menu and sticking to a steak. We tried something different this time. I had the fried sirloin and my husband had the fried chicken and both were excellent. The sirloin was better than the chicken but both were tasty. The green beans were seasoned well and I got white gravy on my potatoes. Hailey was our server and she rocked. Like our everything , water more bread, new drink came before we could even ask for it. When you're traveling, sometimes you like to choose a place to eat that's reliable rather than something new. That's why I like visiting Texas Roadhouse when I'm on the highway. Even though I visited on a busy Saturday at lunch, they got me seated pretty quickly and service was very attentive. No surprises on the menu, but I really enjoyed my ribeye as it was cooked spot on medium rare. I tried the beef ribs as well and although they were tender, I think they were a bit overcooked, but not too bad badly. Overall, a nice visit. Recommended. read more

All time favorite restaurant chain of Texas. Loved this one in particular. Great location and parking place. The fresh sweet cinnamon butter with freshly baked buns are the signature item and I just love it ! And this time had a roasted and salted peanuts with shells - super amazing !!!! I had salmon 5oz with mushrooms and jalapeño with house salad and Cesar salad and everything was awesome ! Sydney was our server, she was super good and phenomenal service. The steaks don't stand out at all. The chicken fried steak is very salty. The ribs are just OK. The mac & cheese is bland. The green beans are either from a can or so overcooked that they resemble those from a can. The cream gravy has an awkward taste of bacon that ruins it. For a similar price point, but much better food, I recommend Outback Steakhouse. read more

The staff was super friendly, even offered us to go bread, peanuts and softdrinks. Their tables are not suited for large parties (10+ people), and is very cramped when everyone's orders arrived. Their food also has gotten more expensive than what I remembered, the 8oz Dallas filet was 26-ish, and the 14oz ft worth ribeye was 25-ish this time. I could just come here for the bread though. Oh My Gosh! It was all fantastic! Walked in and was seated right away! Our waitress was totally awesome! She got our drink order and appetizers right away. We had; Fried Mushrooms, Fried Pickles, Rattle Snake Bites, & Fried Jalapeños! They were brought out in a short time and were hot and flavorful! Great Appetizers! I ordered the 6 oz Dallas Filet medium rare with sauté mushrooms and Onions! Mashed Potatoes with Butter, Side Salad with their Homemade Thousand Island Dressing! Steak was prepared Perfectly! Not sure what happened to this place. We've been several times before and it was always good. Tonight was just meh. My prime rib was seasoned perfect and cooked what looked like medium rare. But it felt like I was chewing on leather. My husbands rib eye was good and he enjoyed it. Our appetizer came out cold and fried pickles don't taste the same cold. My husband had to ask for all three refills because the empty glass on the edge of the table was invisible to our waitress. The best thing was the rolls and spicy margarita. Went for an early dinner..... Got to our table ordered our drinks, reached for our plate for bread, visible dirty, stale rolls. My husband picked his steak before we were seated, we ordered dinner (he gave them his ticket for his steak). His was cooked to his preference , mine was not. It looked like and old steak around the edges. Service was ok, nothing to write home about. When walking out, I noticed the ticket (for the steak my husband picked) was still sitting on the steak! Ordered a steak medium well (little pink in the middle). It came out bleeding. They took it back and I purposefully said to please only cook it a little more. It came back completely charred and tough. I told the waitress and she apologized, but that was it. At other locations the manager will come and make sure it's good if you have to send back a steak. My brother-in-law's order has many mistakes, as well, but not related to the cook of the steak. Guess we'll be driving east to Prosper's location instead of west to Denton. Shame. read more

I'm honestly baffled as to why so many people flock to such a mediocre place. A more fitting name would be Texas Middle-of-the-road House! Its so jam packed on the weekends you might spend nearly as much time searching for a parking space as you would waiting for a table - which can be substantial. To mitigate this situation my best advice is to call ahead to get your name on the list before arriving. As with all locations, for me the best part of the meal remains the rolls and sweet cinnamon butter. Based on the quality of those alone you might anticipate exceptional appetizers and entrees to ensue. Unfortunately, the rest of the food just isn't quite as enjoyable. While nothing is ever terrible, it isn't outstanding either. Even the steaks which are on the forefront will elicit a shrug along with a simple "ok" when I ask the opinion of the meat lovers in my family. I have always found the service to be praiseworthy however, especially considering the high stress environment. I haven't been to one of these in years! I really can't tell you why... It's like I feel like I have to go when I'm out of Texas because I always end up at some sort of Texas named restaurant when I'm not in Texas. So we stopped by before going to a kids play park and they have these little Computer things at each of the tables. This was nice because it kept the kids entertained while there and we were able to pay then leave when we wanted because we had that little computer thing. The rolls were as I remembered soft and buttery with a little bit of sweetness. They brought us plenty of warm rolls and butter. I ended up ordering a steak, filet mignon, to be exact in a 6 ounce. It was so tender and flavorful. It was cooked to perfection. I felt like I needed comfort food at the time because I was starving for lunch so I ordered mashed potatoes with gravy and corn with a little bit of peppercorn sauce on the side. I wish I took some pictures of this meal so that I could add to this review but I was so excited to try the meal that I dug in and didn't get not one photo. The corn was crisp with a little bit of sweetness, so like corn off the cob which I love. The mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly and, I just couldn't ask for anything more on this meal. It looks like everyone pretty much enjoyed their meal as well. My son had the chicken tenders and he said that they were good. One of my friends had a chicken salad and she said that it was very tasty. So overall, this experience was a good one. I am going to be looking for Texas roadhouse locations around my home area from now on because it delicious and it was very tasty. I am not sure why I go to all these expensive steakhouses when I was happy with this steak. I will definitely return sometime soon! read more

2nd time eating here since moving to Texas... loved them in Oregon, First time my steak, the sirloin was amazing my husband who got the ribeye was like shoe leather . The second time was a horrible experience first my husband who has mobility issues and walks with a walking stick, and they put us clear to the very back corner of the restaurant, which is absurd and I let them know that . Steaks are always solid and staff is friendly. Noticed that peanuts weren't auto brought to my table and I forgot to ask. That makes me sad and reduces by a star. I joke, this is always a solid choice when I see one. I know the staff will be friendly and refill my drinks and they typically cook the steaks pretty well. The food as always did not disappoint. The prime rib is deliciously flavorful with just a hint of smoke and tender as can be. I am staying in a hotel next door and made a to go order. It was confusing for me as there was no mention to go in a separate to go door. When Igot there the person serving was amazing. He took time to get me what I needed. I went in the main entrance and was first ignored by the hostesses and a waiter. When I finally was able to get their attention the woman who spoke to me was extremely rude and dismissive. Barking at me for asking where to pick up a to go order. I have never been treated like that at the Albuquerque location. Guess Texas Roadhouse Denton has enough business to treat customers so disrespectfully. The Denton I35 location was not welcoming to me and seemed annoyed that I was in a wheelchair. read more
