Our waitress came fast and out 20 min wait was less than 5. Our waitress Karina was an absolute delight. Seriously ask for Karina. She was super attentive. I read a lot of bad reviews and I was ready to be judgmental but it was very very good. My filet was peppery and cooked perfect. My husband loved his ribeye. The food was not prepared properly, the service is terrible and requesting to talk with a manager will never happen. On a great Mother's Day decided to order from longhorn as she wanted steak but did not want to eat in. We completed the order online and was informed that the order would be ready at 432. Arrived a little early as traffic was not bad and logged into slot 2. At 440 called the resturant and they said it would be right out. Called back at 450 and requested to speak with a manager and they hung up on me and delivered my food. Once I was at home the food was horrible bad taste ordered filet and received I dont know what. We just walked out from Denton Longhorn after being there for quite some time with absolutely no attention, no hi I am you waitress, no water nothing... there were MANY open tables and they chose to sit us party of 2 right next to a party of 8 no problem at all but we did never get any attention, we were there at 3 pm on Sunday... 2 girls standing talking at the front, at one point I looked around and saw no one waiting on anyone in the restaurant... a guy we have had before clearly did not have enough people as he was walking around with nothing to do... the people beside us where there for the first time and he had a gift certificate for his birthday and had to up and ask for their bread and also had almost no service... my husband asked for their bread manager and was told they were super busy no you were not... you had 2 parties of 8 but then DO NOT PUT me in that section if your to busy to handle us... we have been coming here for quite some time and in fact have burned through several hundred dollars in gift certificates since Christmas and my husband has barely been out of the hospital and our first time trying to get out and go to dinner and I live the Parmesan crusted cheese topping and was so looking forward to this and complete felt like 2nd class citizens...he loves the ribeye and the burgers and already struggles to get around so we struggle to go I. Normally the food here is great, which is why I come often. However, this time my experience was very disappointing. I ordered the lamb chops, and they were mostly fat with very little meat. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he was rude about it instead of being helpful. They took the plate to the back but simply brought the same lamb chops back after cooking them more. I usually come here during the weekday and never have any problems, but on the weekends it seems like the service and food quality struggle a lot more. Went for the 1st time yesterday Saturday October 4th, 2025. The wait was less than 15 minutes for Saturday evening. Requested a booth and was seated in a booth. Elizabeth W our waitress was great with the menu options and we were very happy with Elizabeth's professional service and attentiveness toward our meal service. The steaks were very well cooked, very juicy and delecious. I will for sure be back to Longhorn Steakhouse again. I will say my 1st choice for eating steaks will be Longhorn Steakhouse then Saltgrass Steakhouse and lastly Texas Roadhouse in the Denton area. Great service, great steaks and great experience. The reason your toilet seat breaks weekly is because your toilet needs to be replaced, it's not the seat. The management here is terrible, we were lead to sit at a table, not a booth. We requested a table, they said it was reserved for someone else. Wtf We specifically asked for a table and then was diverted. I can buy whatever I want for myself and family if 4 when we go out. We had come from the park, they didn't like our look I guess. We would have dropped $200 or more, we weee treated poorly and they had nothing but excuses. First visit. Very impressed! Great food at a very good value! Located in front of Bucee's. It has an upscale feel, but a casual dining atmosphere. Many great choices on the menu. We had the Salmon & Red Rock Grill Shrimp plate for $23.99 which included two sides... we were able to add incredible (and large) salad (strawberry pecan) for $2.99! All was superb! Our friends had (1) a Fillet Minion and (2) the Salmon. They were also very happy with their choices! Service was definitely above average. Loved the included bread and butter. We went here on a weekday around 6 PM, it was very short wait. We were seated quickly and got our drinks pretty fast. The ambience was nice and plenty of space between each table which I liked. We started with the Texas Tonion because the people in our party wanted it. Kind of difficult to make it really stand out, it was pretty good and similar to fried onion at Outback and other places. The dipping sauce was good but I would have liked more sauce. I ordered the salmon with rice and fried brussel sprouts as the side. The salmon was good but it tasted very salty. The brussel sprouts was also good but also very salty. When asking others in our party, pretty much everyone thought their food was also salty. Their price point is definitely higher than Texas Roadhouse and similar so it was disappointing that they couldn't use better spicer than salt. It was overpowering the salmon. Very casual chain steakhouse. The drink glasses felt like they were gritty & dirty when we picked them up, but it seemed to be just the texture of the glass after further inspection. It was an odd choice to have glass textured to feel dirty. The bread was fresh & soft, served with honey butter. The salads were good, but the caesar dressing didn't taste like caesar. The chicken wrap appetizers were mainly mushy tortillas rolled around a tiny bit of some sort of chicken mushy substance. The steaks were ok, but very dry & salty. The mashed potatoes were very odd quite bad. The baked potato didn't have enough toppings, so it was dry. Ou server was attentive. She kept our drinks topped off. They take your name and number so they can send you a text to monitor your position in line. Also, you can check out the menu. Once you've in, great ambience. The server was magnificent. No complaints. The food was delicious. I know the steaks are the star of the show, but please do not sleep on the broccoli and the Brussel sprouts. Last night I took my fiancé and two children for dinner at Longhorn where as we normally go to Saltgrass and we got the worst experience as far as food is concerned. My fiancé got really sick early in the morning like she had the flu but me and our children felt fine. I left for work this morning and took the leftover wings, about 30 minutes after eating them I started to feel nauseous. I called my fiancé and she said that she was vomiting all day among other things so she had to take off work. Not long after my symptoms started getting worse and I vomited multiple times outside at work. I knew then that we had food poisoning and I had to leave work and I'm now off for 3 days sick from eating contaminated food. On our first visit the wait was close to 2 hrs so we decided to try another day. We went back the next day and only waited about 20 minutes. The restaurant is a little small which explains the wait times. The service was impeccable. Justin our waiter did a great job. He was knowledgeable about the menu items and recommended tasty menu items. He was attentive and responsive. The food. I would recommend the Brisket queso. We ordered Steak and Lobster tail. I ordered my steak medium and it was more medium rare. Justin offered to have the kitchen make it right but it was okay. The okra was a little too salty to eat but the Mac and Cheese was just how I like it. We have seen been back a second time and ordered take out. There were a few problems with missing items but fortunately I discovered it before leaving the restaurant. We ordered Chicken Fries Chicken and Chicken Fried Steak. Both were a bit salty. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, Aaron and he was great. He took the time to listen and explained I should request light seasoning in the future. He was personable and friendly. The server we had was very impersonal. We were not greeted with any enthusiasm. My name is...etc. She did not suggest a signature drink or an appetizer. When she brought silverware and menus she just piled them in the middle of the table. The drinks and coasters were dropped off at the end of the table in the booth for us. Not placed in front of us. We then had to wait 10 minutes to order. The same method was used to serve the warm bread. The center of the table was not on fire! It was not a full house whatsoever. However, we waited almost 25 minutes for our lunch. She did manage to put the food order in front of us. Instead of leaving it on the edge of the table. The steak had good flavor. However, two of the three were ordered medium. They were very undercooked. Medium is pink. Not red. Yes. We ate our lunch without complaining. We were just so hungry at that point. Had to literally wave at our server to get the check!!! She did not offer us a dessert or coffee. It's a cute steakhouse. And appeared to be clean restaurant. We've been wanting to try this place since it opened even though we've tried several of them in different cities and haven't really had good experiences at them. We love (and travel for) Texas Roadhouses and we frequently visit our 3 local Outback Steakhouses as well as stop at them also when travelling so we've really expected and wanted to enjoy Longhorn Steakhouse. We finally stopped in on a Friday afternoon around 2pm. We were warmly greeted at the door by a friendly woman who asked how our day was going. We asked if we could sit at the bar and she told us the bar top itself is open seating so we proceeded to the bar. It was absolutely FREEZING in the place and their AC blows cold air out from underneath the bar top. Yes, this is Texas and it gets hot, but I can't think of a single situation where this would be comfortable. I went to the car and got my mom an airline blanket and 2 extra jackets because we had all found things on the menu we wanted and we were starving. This particular July Texas day was about 30° cooler than our normal temps with a high in the very low 80s. The bartender seemed to be very busy walking to and from the kitchen, taking care of a to-go order and doing who knows what. She seemed very irritated that we were sitting at the bar. Despite being physically in front of us most of the time, once she gave us menus, 2 waters, and a diet coke, she never interacted with us again except when my mom asked if the chowder soup had corn in it and she said "probably". After about 20 or 30 minutes, we left a $5 bill under the diet coke glass, got up and left even though we had all picked out meals we were looking forward to giving a shot. On our way out, the friendly woman who had greeted us said from the other side of the mostly empty dining room "Thank you!" She belongs in another restaurant where the whole team cares about it's customers. She really had no way of knowing what had been happening or that our orders were never even taken. The irony of this whole thing is while we were being ignored for the length of our stay, I was reading on my kindle the book we're currently reading for my company's CEO book club "The Customer Rules" by Lee Cockerell. Looked fwd to this new LongHorn Steakhouse opening in Denton for weeks, once the signage went up towards the end of its construction. Was able to be among the first customers thru the front door on opening day, this past Apr 15th, and was not disappointed with my first visit, especially after Mgr Aaron confirmed that they serve Texas-raised Nolan Ryan beef. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, as one would expect on opening day, of course; ambiance was warm and relaxing, well laid out dining area, very 'Texan.' After starting with the comp'd bread & butter and a really nice Caesar Salad, I went with the 10-oz Chop Steak, covered with caramelized onions and grilled mushrooms, smothered with garlic herb sauce, with my side choice of Seasoned Rice Pilaf; it was all exquisite - wonderful flavors! We visited your Denton location recently. When we entered, we approached your hostess, a mixed race female who was wearing a long maroon/brown wig. She was polite, but never smiled. But that was far from the worst part. She had, on her face, no less than 10 piercings on her face. Between her eyes, on her cheeks, nose, top lips, bottom lips, etc.... I was sure extremely uncomfortable even being near her, but actually having to interact with her was horrifying. As a retired public servant, I can definitively say that she has no place acting as the hostess, the initial contact person, of any service industry, especially Longhorn Steakhouse. Her appearance made her scary and her unfriendly attitude made it atrocious. I can't imagine how my grandchildren would have responded. They would have been horrified. There was only 4 people in the restaurant when my daughter and I went by yesterday for a late lunch. She ordered a sirloin medium well. Service took FOREVER, but it finally came and it was so rare it was ridiculous, completely soaking the okra with blood. The waiter finally came to take it to be fixed and I was done with my entire meal by the time the exact same steak came out overly well done so you could barely chew it. Our waiter told us the manger would be bringing the new steak out, but never appeared. They even had the nerve to charge us full price. No manager ever acknowledged the problem.
