I was a walk in appointment, and my nails had some problems that needed fixing. They had two layers of gel builder (one from home and one from the previous manicurist), they were weak, broken, and the shape was a mess. I really wanted the nail shape to be as flat as possible, as my nails point downward and I hate that it looks like claws when they're longer. I was paired with Roy and after some problem solving, we went with hard gel. He piled on the product and gave me the most beautiful custom shape, I was so excited. The cat eye cost $25 extra which felt like a lot but I really wanted it.. oh well. $107 for the manicure with tip, but it's probably one of the best I've ever had. This place is pretty efficient and quick. I made a manicure and pedicure appt for 10am and I was out of there a little before 11am. I'm not sure if they honored my appointment, because when I walked in, they still asked me what I needed done. They have tons of gel and regular nail polish to choose from. I decided to do a chrome Korean gel on my fingers and regular chrome gel on my toes. The Korean gel should last longer because it was $10 extra, but we will see. They also offer wine, tea and coffee on the side. Massage chair is so great! What I didn't like is they didn't really ask me what shape I wanted my nails. She did a pointy style, and I'm not sure I'm a fan. I should have asked her to refile my nail because the surfaces were very rough. I love the color, but I wish she added another coat and was a bit more careful. For a $100 gel manicure and pedicure, this place was okay. I don't think I'll come back. read more

4 of us went here after a late brunch and I wish we hadn't. My pedicure was so rushed she was putting on my gel polish after taking off gel polish 10 mins after I sat down! Literally asked if she had did my cuticles and clipped my toe nails, she told me she would file after finishing polish. I was shocked! Paid for some deluxe package and left with uneven toe nails and crusty feet. The polish was nice but that was it the under care for my nails and feet were absolutely neglected. i got a full set of short-medium length acrylics with a french tip. im not used to nails so it was hard for me to realize what was wrong but once i got outside and was able to see more clearly in the light, my nails were very clearly messed up. I got my nails done for my wedding and the nails they gave me made me feel so ugly. everything just felt so rushed. The nails themselves were very very bumpy and uneven, the french tips were off-centered, the acrylic nail itself was crooked, there was glue and nail polish on the sides of my nails and in the space between my nails and my skin, and two of my nails/cuticles were bleeding. the tech didn't introduce himself so i dont know his name but he was just not nice. I don't need to have any type of small talk or anything but he wasn't kind or clear during the appointment. after the electric nail filing and grinding, there was acrylic nail dust everywhere. my hands were only dusted after he realized the dust also got on my face. when he saw the dust on my face, he handed me a cut piece of a paper towel that he had dropped on the floor earlier (i saw). (i don't think he switched nail files between clients either) He never asked what I wanted (besides the acrylic nails themselves), so when I said I wanted two colors and a french tip, he loudly sighed in an annoyed type of way. when he did the red french tip, he asked me how it looked and i asked for a lighter shade of red cause it was darker than expected. i didn't have a specific polish chosen but luckily i had taken many photos of the colors so I just picked one that happened to be in the photos i took. he was clearly annoyed by this and asked a lady to grab the color i picked out in the photo. The photo clearly showed what the name/color of the polish i wanted was however the lady who came over to help, took my phone! Neither of them told me what was happening or if she could borrow my phone. When she returned, she only had the polish with her. she left again and finally brings my phone back (i'm assuming she left it at the front with the samples while she went to find the polish I picked out). i'm not the type of person to complain, even with not-great service, but this was just terrible. after i paid, i was able to see my nails in the light more clearly (its not very bright in the manicure area), and my nails looked really bad. they were clearly not done properly. i called to talk to someone about them and scheduled another appointment for the following day. Instead of getting someone with more skill at french tips, she got the same tech as before. He was just plain rude now. He was sighing loudly, clearly annoyed, and kept reminding me that "if you don't like it, you need to tell me now", after each and every nail. At both appointments, he condescendingly asked me "do you want to change your color again" multiple times. Both the tech and the manager at the front (again, no introductions so i'm not sure who i talked to exactly) acted like I was the problem and that i just didn't like my nails. But as you can see in the photos, they were obviously done very poorly. to be clear, they did (somewhat) fix my nails at the second appointment, but they were still not right. i didn't want to go back or talk to someone again just to be disappointed and treated poorly for a third time. Queen Spa has been my go to nail place for over a year now. I've tried a few other salons in south austin but nothing beats queen for the quality and service. I always get Gel X with a limited design. A new set is about $70, with design it varies. They always get the perfect almond shape and length for me and are pretty speedy. I am usually in and out in about an hour. When I want to treat myself I do one of their luxe pedicures and it's extremely relaxing. Overall they have great service and do a GREAT job! read more

I had been here once before and it was fine, but it has such great reviews I thought I'd give them a second chance. This time I went through reviews, looked for someone mentioned often in the 5-star pedicure reviews, and scheduled an appointment for a pedicure with TJ. I arrive, let the lady know I'm here for an appointment for a pedi with TJ and she directs me to a chair. The tech comes over and it's not TJ. No one says a word so I give them the benefit of the doubt figuring maybe something came up and he wasn't available. However, just a few mins later I see TJ walking around, not busy or working on other clients. The tech begins the pedicure and it's clear she isn't very experienced as it felt like she was just going through the motions but not really doing anything. Hardly any cuticle prep, nail cleanup, etc.--just felt like she was grazing my skin with the tools and not actually doing anything. I asked for a cutdown, but to please leave a little white for French. Instead of trimming, she gets the file and barely touches my nail with it. No actual filing, no shaping, just a quick graze of each nail and asks if it's fine. I say no, I want shorter, and she thinks I said pointer (what?!) and files and asks again. I still say no and she makes attempt #3 at filing. Still not great but at this point I just want to be done and move on. Then during the scrub portion she is aggressive grating at my feet with the foot file. I keep pulling my foot back telling her it hurts and she just keeps saying calluses. However, I don't have very thick skin to begin with, and she's not even filing on the actual dead skin--just blindly hacking away at the back of my heels. She gets through the rest of the pedi, someone else does the painting, and I go to checkout. I'm standing there for a decent amount of time before being acknowledged, then finally paid and left. Get home and my toenails are snagging on everything (blankets, socks, etc) because they are so jagged and rough, my feet look more dry and flaky than before I went in, and my heels are raw and painful. Not a single aspect was the relaxing treat I was expecting and won't be giving them a third chance. read more

The nail technicians were very nice and accommodating. My issue is that I went in on a Sunday and by Tuesday my gel manicure was chipped on one nail and by Wednesday my gel pedicure was also chipped on a nail. This has never been an issue for me before at other salons. read more

I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she matched it exactly while checking in with me along the way to make sure I was happy with the way they were turning out. She also was very transparent about any add ons that would cost more, that way I wasn't blindsided at the end of the appointment like I have been at other salons. I love my nails and will absolutely be coming back to see Vivian again! This visit I got acrylics with chrome polish to get that pearlescent look! The manager, River ended up taking over my pedicure, not sure why. The tech I had did okay, she was VERY rough though. At one point she popped my toes, every knuckle cracked. She went too deep when clipping my cuticles on both big toes which resulted in some bleeding and pain. River acknowledged it, and said "it will stop over time" She polished the toe, even with the bleeding. I was livid. She did apologize on behalf of her tech, but I won't be going back. River also gave me a 10% discount for the mishap. I'll take my chances elsewhere. $58 for a pedi without gel and a "callous treatment", but my heels aren't any softer! read more

The salon itself isn't huge but they are always packed and busy, however one reason why I already love coming here is because no matter how busy they are I am always seated right away or my wait is never that long. I always ask for Mazy! she's honestly the best nail tech I've found here in Austin. She's so sweet and she'll get you in an out quickly, because let's be honest no one really wants to sit there for hours. I wish I took a before for the after pic, but decided not to post a pic because my nails were tore up before I went to Queen. Regular mani,l with gel and revival pedi which was amazing. I've been getting my nails done for 25 years and have seen some things. This is a great spot. Great color selection, they are organized and clean, and have a variety of options for both mani/pedi. There's a wall that divides mani and pedis, which I think is cool. And I like that they did the mani/pedi at the same time. I know some people must not like that but I'm on a schedule and it was great. My legs, feet and hands feel and look great. Well, they look 100x better. I have rough hands and stand all day, so if I'm behind on getting my nails done... it can be bad. They really took the time and it's much appreciated. Highly recommend, good people. When we arrived at 5:30 it was packed! I was a little nervous that we'd have to wait along time but Jessie was ready within a few minutes. I thought instead of just waiting around I'd ask if I could also get a pedicure, thinking probably not because it was so busy but, the owner was happy to accommodate me and just said it would be a few minutes and she'd get a chair available next to my daughter. David did my pedicure and he could not have been sweeter. He did a fantastic job and the massage was wonderful. My daughter was so happy with her nails and they turned out so cute!
