I had a very disappointing experience with Michelle. From the moment I sat down, she did not greet me or make me feel welcome. The appointment felt rushed from start to finish. During my service, Michelle was texting on her phone instead of giving her full attention to my nails. The biggest issue was my index finger. The nail was applied crooked, and rather than removing it and fixing it correctly, she filed it down and placed another nail on top of it. The result was bulky, uneven, and clearly not done properly. The nail was also left with excess product around the cuticle area, making it look messy and unprofessional. She was also speaking with coworkers in another language throughout the appointment, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. While I don't know what was being said, the overall atmosphere was not friendly or professional. I paid for a quality service and left with nails that looked rushed and poorly done. I went in for the gel-x promo and I showed the guy a inspo picture. I wanted a milky French tip SHORT. The nails were super long once he glued them. I asked if he can file them down or cut them and he said no because they were already pre-shaped... I also asked if he can cut the cuticles and he said no I didn't need it mind you, you can see my cuticles pushed back they looked so bad. the shape wasn't even almond shape. Each nail looked very deformed and no effort was put into the nails at all so I asked him if he could cut them down and he said oh it's gonna ruin the nail polish and we would have to charge you more so I went back the next day to have the nails completely removed and I asked for a refund and he said yes I'll give your money and he proceeded to say do not come back he's like I'll remember you and I said that's fine. Remember me take a picture if you want. I paid $55 for a gel-x promotion that was supposed to be 35. When I went back to have my nails removed, he was helping another girl and she had the same issue but with only one nail and he was very rude to her and the girl was like oh are you gonna fix my nail he said no and she was like is anybody else gonna fix my nails and he said no he told her not to come back and he gave her her money back as well. read more

Honestly, I came here excited to try out the $30 gel x manicure special, however I somehow ended up spending $60 which I don't feel is validated whatsoever. I wanted a French manicure, not knowing it wasn't included in the special, well their price list on the wall says it's only $10 more so I was ok with it, when it came time to pay it ended up being a $20 up charge. Additionally, I wanted the nails to be just a bit shorter, and they charged me $5 more for a cut! So overall, this ended up a $60 cost. Try at your own risk! read more

went in for manicure and pedicure, i showed the lady an exact reference photo of what i wanted and asked her what the total would be before the service, she stated it would be 45$ for my gel x manicure. i then get my pedicure and when it comes time to pay they want to charge me 90 dollars for my manicure when they previously stated it would be 45$!!! total came out to 125 for both. when confronted they said i had only asked for the price on the nails but not the actual designs and colors, like what?? Nail techs have to understand not everyone is into and/or likes long bling nails. They should also understand nails and pedicures are, for most people, considered a luxury service especially in this economy. The least they can do is be pleasant to their customers. There are nail shops at every corner so when someone choses YOU as their service provider at the very least be respectful. I have been coming to Queen Nails for longer than I can remember. Am I a regular? No. However when I wanted acrylics I always went to Sam and when I need a pedicure I always go to Phoebe as they (IMO) are thee best. Today I called to schedule an appointment and was informed Sam is no longer there. I remember my friend telling me she LOVED a specific tech thus I scheduled an appointment with her. BIG mistake, BIG. When I approached her she had the worst RBF but greeted her and attempted to look past it. As I was telling her what I wanted: short/medium length, neutral colored acrylic and no design I thought there was no way the look on her face or attitude could get any worse. IT DID. Needless to say I absolutely never tip less than 20% today however I made an exception. The nail tech (MICHELLE) is just rude, dismissive, and doesn't make any effort to create a welcoming experience. I always feel rushed, and when I ask questions or voiced preferences, she seems annoyed. Even though the nails turn out nice, the overall experience is super uncomfortable, and I won't be going back. Good service is just as important as good nails, and unfortunately, this place fell short in that area. The nail tech (MICHELLE) frequently speaks to her coworker on her left in their language while doing my nails, and it is clear from their tone and gestures that they are making negative or unprofessional comments towards me. This made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Professionalism and respect for clients should be a priority in any business, regardless of the quality of the work.I have referred clients to her, and based on her treatment towards me, she has lost me as a client as well as them. The normal place that I go to was closed and needed a pedi. Yes, As a diabetic I have to make sure my sure my feet are well taken care of. Let me start by saying that normally I hate pedicures, they hurt, they tickle and damn they HURT! But today was much different because Phoebe was very gentle on my feet. Did a very nice job and took her time. She put on the massaging chair twice and I have to say I had some neck pain and it felt great to have the chair massaging me while she was working the feet. Like alot of the reviews say, Michelle is super rude. I've given her a chance time and time again because she does decent nails. But I will never return to this janky salon. Like others have mentioned it's not the nicest place. I can look past that. But Michelle's attitude is horrible. Some days she was okay, most she was in a bad mood. Miserable. I will return to Queen Nails for their Monday-Tuesday specials on Gel-X manicures. The nail tech was skilled in what she could do and did not speak to me, except through a gentleman who acted as her interpreter. The nails came longer than I wanted, but the interpreter said they don't cut them down. I was surprised by that but pleased that they looked good. It was worth the price. read more

I just wanted the basic gel job. I showed him pictures with the shape n color I wanted and I ended up getting something completely different. I know this is everyone's and their mothers, aunts, side chicks, main chicks, baby mamaS, grandma, and wife's favorite place to get their nails done, buuuut I've had enough lol They got really big on IG and made a name for themselves, (I don't knock the hustle) but I don't like paying for some shit that is bogus, and I want other people to know what they're getting because I wish someone would've told me. I've tried this place twice and I can finally leave a TRUTHFUL review. The first time I came I got a white gel full set, gold flakes, and " marble" on my thumbs. In about a week flat, my white turned dark dark. I was like what the fuck did I do? My makeup stained, my everyday use of normal things stained and my full set looked like Ive had it for 5 months or something. It just looked awful, but I thought OK maybe this was my fault and I did a lot of extras with my hands, so it's my fault. (WRONG.) So, I came back again because I love to waste my own time & money apparently, and I got a full set of "holographic" nails. Shit was expensive, but it looked so nice in the sun on Instagram, plus i was going out of state and wanted to look better than usual. I asked the workers over and over if it would stain, and they even saw how badly stained my last set was and they said over and over that it would not happen again. Lord, THEY LIED. It was so bad I even had to get my nails done out in the state I was visiting. I couldn't stand the look of dirty ass stained nails and what's worse is throwing away an easy 50.00 for absolutely nothing. I gave it TWO chances, and I'll never come back. They asked right away to take pictures of my hands for their little photo-op which draws people in like crazy, (including my damn self) but now i see the scam lol However, i don't know if anyone else had this issue, I'm going to assume they do but I'm not the type to stay quiet, i don't want y'all up in there wasting your damn money like i did. I've been coming to this nail salon on & off because it's always a hit or miss. I came in for a fill, the nail tech kept insisting on me getting a full set but my old nails were still brand new, only one fell off. I had told her I wanted a nude/white ombré and when she went to do the white with an airbrush, the machine wasn't working. Prior to doing the ombré I asked for a French tip, she said my nails would've been too long for a French tip. Doesn't make sense? When the machine stopped working she said we could do the French tip instead. I wish I would've just stuck with the nude by itself because all the French tips are off, I know it can't be perfect but you'd expect good nail art. Even my left thumb nail is crooked. $70 later for a fill, crooked thumb nail, and bad nail air. & I had asked her to fix it but I guess this was the best she could've done. Been coming here for a couple years and I've been pretty happy with how my nails have come out. I'm pretty particular with how I like my nails done. For my personal preference, I don't like my nails too thick, I would like my nails to look as natural as possible (as natural as acrylics can look haha). I would literally look at the set before they polish it, at every angle to make sure it doesn't have too much thickness especially at my cuticles and tip of the nail. Yes, I'm slightly OCD lol, but the nail tech is nice enough to fix it up how I like it if it does need to be fixed for me. In my opinion, Michelle, is the best tech there. She takes her time in shaping, painting, and decorating my nails. So even though I feel like their pricing is a bit expensive, for someone like myself who can nitpick at things (just because I honestly can't control it lol) I don't mind paying. My suggestion for anyone is if you know you are paying for nail services that are a little pricey, then I feel like it is ok to nitpick if your nails aren't being done the way you like because who likes to waste their money? It would literally drive me crazy if I knew I paid this much money to not even like the set I'm leaving with. read more

This place has seriously gone downhill over the last few years. I used to love coming here because the techs were always so good. I come here every month but over the last few months I have been very unhappy with the quality of my nails. Today was probably the last straw. I asked for a simple French tip and the tech couldn't manage to do it. She even struggled with applying the acrylic powder. My nails came out super crooked and I kept pointing it out to the tech. Finally I gave up an asked for a top coat and left. The receptionist is new and at first she was really nice. Now it looks like she just hates her job.
